Femke is so likeable, she’s an amazing athlete but it’s her like ability that sets her apart always smiling, she’s great for the sport
She's a sweet girl for sure, always amazing and humble
Agreed. And so talented
Good girl
Super especial,digna de admiración.
That's the cleanest last hurdle I've seen her to date. Bol🔥🔥🔥
Incredible run from Femke, tying the time that Sydney ran to demolish the world record in Tokyo. Sydney herself has only run faster than this twice, and Femke is younger.
Glad to see that Femke is starting to look comfortable with her new stride pattern, indicating that she’s got more to show us yet in the future!
She wasn’t quite happy with some of the hurdle jumps dough. She still looses velocity over the hurdles compared to Syd.
@@hermanmertens8383 Her last two hurdles were beautiful here at least. The last one in particular it almost looked like she sped up going through the hurdle.
@@Elliottklassen Agree, she was talking about the hurdles she took with her ‘weak’ right leg. On the other hand her last 150 meters were incredibly fast. She told she still got a lot of energy to finish the race. Promising!
Why do people think that Sydney is much older than Femke? Sydney is literally only 6 months older😭. Stop acting like Syd is old!
@@hermanmertens8383True first 300m could be better. Last part race was almost perfect!
Femke Bol - simply put - one heck of a runner - truly amazing athlete. I love seeing her run.- such a beautiful runner.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Unreal, Bol is an alien! Italy for Femke
Femke often looks at the time after finishing, and appears surprised over how fast she was. Very cute. If she keeps improving, the Olympic races between her and Sydney will be epic.
Yeah would be great but its also possible that Sydney stays at 400m project or not run at all. She already have Olympic Gold on 400mh and now want 400m Olympic Gold so goes in history as first Olympic Gold winnar in both events.
Absolutely love her as an athlete and as a person!
Femke is a fantastic athlete as well as being a lovely, engaging young woman 🤩
Ladies and gentlemen She is in World Record shape, and she is determined to go for it at World's...
The way Femke got over that final barrier like it wasn't even there was unreal. She was like a streaking comet at the finish.
400m hurdle is incredible including men and women.
I agree
They are running separated not together. 😳
Not really…personally, I can’t stand Warholm’s shouting and screaming…
@@-kabepugs3009 …
Me encanta Fenke Bol es una atleta extraordinaria y muy completa. Saludos desde Chile.
Shes my favourite athlete right now, for those reasons. Talented and likeable, most athletes are only talented but are way too serious and always look disgruntled or angry.
👍♥️
Amazing race by Femke Bol, 3rd fastest all time, but what I find even more amazing is that she doesn't even look winded. My guess is she's got sub 51 in her legs ... date to be determined.
roid
@@dazz4real Any proof?
Friday 8 september DL Brussels Femke vs Sydney. Would be cool to see 2x sub 51s.
@@dazz4real Bloke, there is NO indication WHATSOEVER for that. You should not make false, unwarranted and empty accusations without even the SLIGHTEST bit of evidence.
Very exciting runner, she always looks like she’s only running at 80%, think there’s so much more in her tank 🏃♀️
the secret of a great runner is being smooth and comfortable near top speed. It makes real effort look easy. I'd like to see her match or take the world record - but it is one super world record
Alternating your left and right leg. Always a good strategy in running
Have you thought about becoming a standup comedian? You have talent!
@@rientsdijkstra4266 : but he'd need another 50 of that calibre - no easy task LOL!
FINALLY SHE RAN UNDER 52 SECONDS,I KNOW SHE CAN
after breaking 400m indoor world record i know she can go under 52 seconds. I just hope she can get gold in Olympic 2024 and this year world championship is gonna be hard to get gold if she gets silver again i would still be happy 😀
Sydney isn’t running the hurdles this year😉
@@Flower-vj3yl really? Even though she has an automatic entry for 400m hurdles
@@ShahYT.Official She will run the 400 flat
@@Flower-vj3yl We'll have to wait and see about that, last friday she pulled out of a 400m because of an injury.
@@ShahYT.Official Schedule doe's not let her do it. 400 m and 400m hurdles to close to each other.
Honestly didn’t think fem had it in her just yet but she’s proved me wrong. The more I watch her the more I enjoy her. The wr of Sydney will push bol even faster. Think the wr might be broken at the world champs.
World champs 2025 WR 400mh might be broken by Femke and/or Sydney to sub 50.5s and maybe in few years sub 50s that would be CRAZY!
By far Ive seen Bol run. Normally she looks quite fatigued towards the end pf the 400mH races, but here she finished crazy strong and the 14 step change really came shining through. What a run.
She wasn’t quite happy with her right leg jumps, but also said she felt very strong during the last 100 meters. Room for improvement, she stated.
@@hermanmertens8383ominous to her opponents then 😊
@@Elonmuskateer She respects her collegiate athletes, but only before and after the race.
@@hermanmertens8383 looking forward to seeing her in Budapest, think she runs Monday in the heats, love her vibrancy 🏃♀️
That is complete BS. If there is one thing that I notice that after every race the others are sitting and laying down while Femke is still happily walking round and congratulating everybody. The complete OPPOSITE of what you are saying here.
Great run. Would be great to see Sydney and Femke fight it out. Two great athletes.
Friday 8 september DL Brussels Femke vs Sydney on 400mh. Would be cool to see 2x sub 51s.
They will in this year's Paris Olympics. Barring injuries. They should finish 1st and 2nd. I can see Sydney running a 50.5 race.
❤ Femke Bol.
She is surely going to win at world championship 2023!
If SML had tried for the 400/400H double in Budapest she would have lost to Femke in this event if it was the latter. Many people were assuming she always had this gold medal in the bag but Femke has just shown that SML should always be ready to bring her A-game when lining up against her
I agree syd would probably win in a one off race but not after running rounds in both the 400 and 400mh
Sydney decided to run 400m, 4x400m and probably 4x400mix this year WCH. She will not run 400mH. She will run 400mH again in 2024 Paris as schedule let her do double.
@@wesw7241 If she doubles in Paris she's losing to Bol
@@onigbajamo we will see, but I can’t wait that’s for sure. Bol already did a double in the EC last year, it went well for her.
@@mmmvt5428 Bol didn't have to do heats and had no competition. Syd will have Bol.
Phenomenal Femke 🏃🏼♀️💨
Not sure if it's because of Femke's height. but IMO, she loses a bit too much speed jumping over barriers as opposed to SML. If she can jump over every single one of them like the way she jumped the final barrier in this race, there's a good chance she can go sub 51 to possibly match or even surpass Sydney's world record.
100% 💪
I think it's actually more because of her adjusting to a new stride pattern, which is making her jumping look not as great to be honest. The more comfortable she gets, the more tenths she can shave off. The massive progress she's made in the last few months are proof that it's working, so by the Olympics next year, I'm expecting her to run a sub 51!!
She is gonna get Sydney this time.
Not really but optimism springs hope eternal.
It's interesting when you look at the list of all 22 times that were under 53-sec mark in history, most women were 25 years old or older (some were even 30+). Sydney achieved her best time (so far) at just 22 years and 11 months old while Femke achieved hers at 23 y 5 months old. Let's see what happens over the next 2-3 years when they get to that 25+ age which seems to be the peaking age for 400mh.
😂this won't last , she evolved the sport and bol and others are making these time look normal as well, in the future this will be nothing
@@tshifhiwaramatswana6862 thats why rest field was 2 second behind today. Maybe only Britton could get in sub52s conversation. Lets see what she brings at Worlds. And also Shamier can run much faster than shown today.
femke bol is fenomen
Congratulations
You have to love Femke Bol. She is not only a great runner, but seems like such a genuinely nice person. She deserves all the accolades to receives.
Femke Bol is amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Со времён Кройфа(Петра1) очень люблю и восхищаюсь Нидерландами. Дафна, Фемке вообще что-то от бога
Brilliant 🎉
Femke Bol is amazing
that time is virtually tied with Sydney's 2nd best time (with only Sydney's Tokyo run being significantly better) - that's just so good for the future of this event
It was World Championships in Oregon where Sydney ran sub 51 and broke the world record. Femke's time here matches Sydney's Tokyo Olympics and it's the 3rd fastest ever time at this point. 2nd fastest also belongs to Mclaughin, I forgot what it was, but it was the race right after she broke the world record in Oregon.
@@GyariSan1 The OC is more or less correct. The 2nd time ever (by McLaughlin and in general) indeed "belongs" to mrs McLaughlin but with 51.41 but is barely (only 0.04 seconds..) faster then the time the 51.45 that Femke Bol ran here. This 51.45 would have gotten gold at the Tokyo Olympics and would also have been the WR at that moment.
@@GyariSan1 yes thx, i mixed up the two venues and times.
Carreron de Femke! Sabia que podia hacerlo, pero porfin comprobarlo...wow! Estoy segura que con la mejora de pasos entre vallas y la estrategia de carrera, apretando en las ultimas 3 vallas...va a bajar ese tiempo mas.
Can't wait for the Bol v McLaughlin rematch
Its here Friday 8 september DL Brussels Femke vs Sydney on 400mh. Would be cool to see 2x sub 51s.
She’s on a boll! closer and closer
Tremendous performance
I expected a little more from Little after her big 400 m flat PB in Monaco.
Easily said. Tiredness....She's human. Don't forget these are all points towards end of season.
Really looking forward to the Olympics next year. What people need to bear in mind is that sub 53 times have been so rare a couple of years ago. With the numbers they put up so far, it's clear that SM is the favorite (after all she is the world record holder). But nonetheless, I will be rooting for FB comes Paris 2024
it's hard to believe how the current top 4 world 400H women have taken the this event to a level the world beaters of the 90s couldn't dream of. Gunnell, Buford-Bailey, Kim Batten eclipsed. The east german and Soviet machines relegated to rather everyday type times
Femke absolut favorit,,,,
Sydney is in a league of her own but Femke is basically providing as much competition as anyone humanly can. If Femke keeps on improving her technique, I think we'll see a race where both go under 51 together. Nobody is perfect so if Bol keeps this up, at some point she might get her chance to win against Sydney. I honestly used to pay little attention to 400mh, but it might be the best event right now along with the shorter women's sprints.
In a league of her own? What times did she run this year?
@@Harolddespui Dude, her WR is 50,68. That's another sport, so yes, that's a league on her own. For what we know she is not doing hurdles this year because she wants to try and perform in plain 400 and that's either because she wants to have a different training to go even faster on hurdles or simply because she wants to pursue a medal in plain 400. It is what it is.
@@guglielmoscecspir1053 Bol has the fastest times THIS year, so atm Sydney isn't in a league of her own. 😄
@@Harolddespui That's one way to twist reality of results. It's like saying that Bolt is not in a league on his own because he no longer runs. It's a ridiculous statement disproven by simple facts that anyone running amateur trials can easily understand. Having almost a second over someone else as PB is monstrous and nobody is changing that.
@@guglielmoscecspir1053 No, Bolt was always much faster than anyone else, year in year out. Femke this year is the fastest.
*_"third-fastest 400m hurdles time ever"_*
Why call it like that? Calling her the second fastest women ever in human history sounds way better!
British people....They do the same with Verstappen.
excellent 👏👏👏
Sydney runs a practice session at that speed, but it’s good for the sport and the athletes to compete and raised their expectations.
🤣🤣🤣Euhm: mrs McLaughin's BEST TIMES EVER: 50.68, 51.41, 51.46 and 51.61. So mrs McLaughin has only ONCE in her life been below 51.40.... And all her other BEST performances are in the same range as Bol's best performance. And mr McLaughins last race: 52.70. So NO, mrs McLaughin does NOT run such times in a practice session. 🤡🤡🤡
Do you realize this is the third fastest time ever?
@@francescostano44454th fastest time now
@@rientsdijkstra4266she just ran 50.65WR just for the update 😂
@@jking1892 yeah, McLaughlin ran faster than this 3 times in her life. And this guy said she runs a practice session at that speed
Actually is the 2nd fastest time in history 💪🏿 behind the current wr.third if you consider both of the two consecutive times Sydney did in less than two months last year
Why would you consider it 2nd fastest time if its really the third?🤣
Only 1/100th away from 2nd fastest in history
My princess ❤️
Win
Mooi.
the fact that Sydney too afraid to run in 400m hurdles in world championship speaks for itself.
Pretty sure she is running it! Also Sydney can beat Famke in her sleep. 51.4 isn't close to 50.6 at all
Afraid come on that’s silly
@@afrobuddy4801beat her in her sleep? Sydney has run faster than this only twice in her life and Femke is making huge steps forward at the moment. In any case it would be very tight between them right now but Femke still has the potential to grow further.
I'm Dutch and obviously I root for Femke, but Sydney is clearly only running the open 400m this year to see if she can get close to the WR, you can't do that by competing in 2 events. Sydney is an amazing athlete but unfortunately for athletics fans she just doesn't like competing that much (in general), but that's not because of fear for other athletes.
I'm pretty sure that Sydney will try to do the double in Paris 2024 and for that to succeed she just needs to focus on the open 400m for now.
@@_MicZ_unfortunately she isnt running the double but only the 400 flat as she felt a tweak in her hamstring the other day during warm up and dostn want to make it worse
to anyone interested, I just watched this youtube video of Irish coaches analysing Femke's form in the lifts, as usual done with precision and grace. Her strength to weight ratio is very high. ua-cam.com/video/VC78KaAhsIM/v-deo.html
She will run 51 flat soon
You just recorded the third fastest time in history with your logo over the athlete.
She is better then Max Verstappen there is no better car just her fenomenaal legs . This is unbelievable.
European proud😊 .
She needs to come down under 49 to beat Sydney
Why are the hurdles so low for women? The mens ara a foot/30cm taller, but men are on average only about 10cm/3-4inches taller than women.
Femke will destroy Sydney at the worlds
Sydney is running the flat not the hurdles at the Worlds so that prediction will have to wait. Shame because it would have been a great battle.
@@tulyar57the fact that she's not running the 400m hurdles in the world championship speaks for itself
@@kelseyvision Possibly. Sydney's lack of competition this season is worrying. She can't be considered number one in the event if she doesn't run it all season. She pulled out of the flat 400m in Monaco due to what her coach calls a recurring knee injury. I wonder if this is partly why she is not running an impact event like the hurdles. However, Femke's form is insane right now and she is getting quicker and quicker.
Sydney will easily beat Femke at worlds. She is a much stronger 400m runner and that would help her hurdles, not sure on her hurdle technique tho since she hasn't run this year
@@tulyar57 she's duckin smoke
Its a shame that Sydney exist because Femke is a phenom running in the wrong era. Kinda of like yohan blake with Bolt
Friday 8 september DL Brussels Femke vs Sydney. Would be cool to see 2x sub 51s.
@@QuamfyMarc Doubt we will, just because it's end of season. Sydney runs very sparingly and wasn't in Budapest, so you'd think she's fresher but is coming off an injury so what form she's in would be guesswork, while Bol runs a lot of events and so fatigue sets in, plus of course she'll have wanted peak form for the World Championships. I fear neither of them will actually be in the position to run the best times they're capable of and so while it will be interesting to see (Sydney's very limited schedule and that she rarely runs outside the US means we don't see them face off often), I'll be very surprised if either athlete is truly at their best in Brussels to run that kind of time.
@@ofs82 Let them surprise us. 😉
Bol is amazing. Unfortunate for her to be in the same era as Sydney McLaughlin. There is no way she will win at the worlds against Sydney but I am still a huge fan.
You can't ssy for sure.
Fortunate for fans, though :D If not for Sydney no one would be pushing Bol because she's now already so much ahead of the 3rd best.
