On todays episode only here on the #ooshow we head into the kitchen with Chris as he shows us a great #gooserecipe! known as #gooseconfit
Who doesn't like a good bird meal!! This detailed episode will only have you licking your chops & taking notes!! If you have any bird legs this would be a very tasty, and easy meal to prepare, and enjoy tonight!
Goose Confit Recipe For 4 Legs:
Green Salt
3 tablespoons kosher salt
6 Lg springs thyme, just leaves
1 Shallot, minced
4 ea cloves garlic, minced
black pepper, corse ground
mix well, and ub into les. Marinate 12-24 hours
About 3-4 lb fat, lard, duck, goose
Melt fat in oven proof dish large enough to hold all legs
Bake covered for 6-8hours at 225-250 F
If you have leftovers, pour cooking fat over til its fully covered. Will last 2-3 months refrigerated. Strain extra fat for additional use.
