A hopeful prospect starting very nicely . it's rather hard to hear what you are saying as in a few of your videos
Well done monte! The ground work has really paid off !
She is a very pretty horse and I like the name signpost I’m actually a polo player myself and my horse is called rubber band.
😂😂😂
Bro wrong leg
She was born to be a polo pony
Looks like you were rolling the wraps the wrong way? Unless I am wrong or there was a reason for that!
Maybe that head collar is too low on her nose, interfering with her breathing?? She's v nice 👍
Yay so lucky she does flying changes right off the bat. You stayed so calm. Even when she first took off at the canter my heart jumped.
It’s not luck 😂 all horses can do changes on their own. When riding it’s up to the rider to create the right balance and circumstance to make the change happen naturally
Love your demeanor with her!
You have such a pleasant and calm demeanor with her. Nice to watch.
Really enjoying your channel.
Would you concider to do a tutorial on legchange? (Still not sure what to call it)
Monty you are so good with the horses and I think that knowledge must be from your mum?😊 she seemed very quiet and chill when you saddled up and lunged. You are good with leadership and giving the youngsters confidence. Well done.
4:07 Im sorry wtf? Why have I never seen this trick before?
You are a good rider. Keep it up!
This is a bit of a leap from my usual night stalker scary stories I listen to but I think I’ll enjoy just the same
She needs built up as very thin before considering riding.
Just found your channel and watching the video and I am a little bit surprised to see your stirrups are down while you are lunging her. You can easily see the stirrups banging against her side, I would think an experienced horseman would know better and put the stirrups up.
Monty is so impressive with his knowledge of horses and training, that I would trust he's doing the right thing for the moment.
-- From Horse and Hound: Yes they can be left down.
"They should be securely put up for safety as they can get caught or flap about but they should not be something the horse is generally scared of as during the breaking process it is an important part of desensitising,
I always lunge an unbroken horse with them down, normally tied to the girth initially until they are used to them being against their sides, then loose so they do bang about but it is done with caution and for a good reason, once they are backed and riding confidently it serves no purpose to leave them down. ...Jul 19, 2016
