These salaries are definitely off. It must be measuring that against small business owners w/less that 1MM in annual revenue which is very very small. Large Middle Market and Corporate organizations with C Suite execs are likely making more like 200-250K on average annually. I’m not even in a VP role at the bank in commercial banking. I’m several several levels down from the top and I make 95K in salary and about 105 total after bonus. Like I said somethings.
My interpretation is basically every business regardless of size will have a CEO, but only the larger companies will have a full C Suite, for example my family have been business owners but they never had a CFO or CCO and just filled the CEO/MD role themselves.
@@lewisyoutube4080this! Just statistics. And therefore whenever you have another c-suite position he earns more on average but the CEO of that company would earn more than the rest of the c-suite in that company.
Oh yeah it's wwwwaaayyyy off. Lol there's noway in heck these guys making only 100k and happily walk into a Porsche dealership and pick one up. The the video credit, it probably the actual average given how they can write off ALL THEIR EXPENSES as business expenses...thus keeping their tax bracket low
think $200k+ in well off companies. the average salary is probably being thrown off by smaller companies. and i can guarantee that no c-suite execs are making close to 500k unless they had a hand founding the company or the companies revenue is insane. the board would not allow them to rake in so much profit.

Probably because many companies have CEOs, even the small ones, which lowers the average while COO and CFO are likely to be found only in relatively large organisations which doesn't hurt their average
Because small companies doesn’t have COO and CFO but probably a CEO who have little to non salary in some start-up companies. So that’s why the CEO salary average down compared to COO and CFO. However, in a company with all three positions, the CEO probably have the highest salary.
They would have a seat on the board (maybe not all 3, but at least the CEO), but the board is also made up of other key stakeholders. For example, people who own or represent companies that own a large % of the shares (e.g. early investors) or advisors that have been elected onto the board.
She explains everything so clearly its just great now i have a better understanding of the different roles of business positions
I saw a link from Ericka Williams UA-cam channel so I watched your video.
In some cases... CFO can also = to Finance Director.
how is that COO and CFO salaries higher than CEO ??
Nice and quite informative video. Thanks!

How is the ceo the highest position if they report to the board of directors and get paid less than the other c class executives
Not really sure about this video, but usually the equity offered to the CEO is far above that of other c-suite folks.
The board members aren’t usually employees

Think the base salary numbers are off. Think most C levels executives are making $500k. Does anyone else think so?

Thanks for sharing this video. I have one doubt regarding salaries, when CEO is higher then CFO then how CFO's salary is higher then CEO?
not that common, I would think. But, usually the gap is made up in equity (significantly).

Mistake on salaries.
No one supervises a staff who earns more than them.
Avg salaries are misleading
the video says avg. CEO salary is $116k per year and the Avg. COO salary is $123k ... i.e. higher than the CEO?
Generally only larger companies that pay higher have COO hence the higher average salary. There’s plenty of start ups that have CEOs but no COOs
