    I love how cultures blend as borders are only political and change. You can find similarities in culture and cuisine in neighbouring countries. She said "The food is influenced by Greece and Turkey" but i think it's a cultural blend and you can't really tell what came from where, escpecially in central Eurasia. To take in account the Ottoman colonization and slavery is also needed. No way to not get unfluenced. In the Balkan we have our own version of Kebab and we have Kyufte. Dyuner we also have but pretty different than the turkish Doner and the greek Gyros.
    Our area-the Meddierenian, the Balkan, the Arab peninsula have interacted and been populated for a long long time. Some of the oldest in the world artifacts have been found here- the oldest processed gold in the world is in Bulgaria, the Balkan and oldest written laws are in the Arab peninsula(Babylone) and many ,many more great things. Love how we interacted but still kept uniqueness to our cultures.
    Overall we're a nice blend here, mostly about the food.
    Love from Bulgaria

      It was a very stupid comment from her because Turkey was part of Iran but Iran was never part of Turkey or Ottoman Empire. Turkish culture has so much influence from Iran and Persian culture.

    • @Wolvendom
      @Wolvendom 2 роки тому +1

      Well Persian culture was spread out more by Arabs n Turks.
      Persian cuisine and culture influenced the entire Middle East, that's why Iran is known to be the birthplace of Middle Eastern cuisine and the Middle Eastern cultures.

    Meaning of kebab = any food that is cooked from the heat of charcoal is called kebab, like a tomato that is cooked on charcoal is called grilled tomato or the meat that is cooked on charcoal is called grilled meat.

    Guys, I'm gonna be honest with you. There IS alcohol in Iran, but you can't buy them from stores. You buy them secretly (it's done by making a quick phone call to the provider) and you drink as much as you want, but yeah the regime has "banned" it lol. There are all kinds of alcoholic drinks here. Wine, Vodka, Whiskey, etc. And lamb is more popular than beef, but many people like me and my family don't like the smell and the taste and we never eat it. We always go for beef. I love how honest and informative Ghazal is. Proud of you girl

    Wow! Good that they were able to eat Iranian kebab in Korea! Actually today I really wanted to eat kebab but our food wasn't kebab🥲😂
    And I really liked they're reactions !superseded!
    I didn't expect them to like everything, especially "yogurt"🥛 and "lemons"🍋 because they are sour and salty, so this was really interesting to me !shocked happily!🇮🇷❤

    Kabab means the kind of cooking when you cook the food over live and direct fire. It's the equivalent of barbeque. So if you cook fish that way it will be called fish kabab or kababi fish, if you cook eggplant that way, it will be called kababi eggplant, so on and so forth. Since the lamb kabab is the most most common form of kababi food consumed in Iran, we just call that dish kabab for short.

    Wow, torshi is similar to what we call pickles in Eastern Europe. Also that kebab and other similar dishes can be found in the Balkans because of Turkish and Tatar influence. Also we eat a lot of yoghurt and cheese so there are a lot of types. 😁

    Legend has it..that ancient Middle Eastern soldiers would often hunt an animal...then cut it up in chunks..and use their swords as skewers to cook the meat. This is one theory on the origins of kabob.
