I'm going to trust my memory here, I did this in 2019 or maybe 2018, when I think I did a colab..? i think? ( i refuse to look up my own memories) anyway -i , well, having just watched it, It may be the best argument for Bill Russell All Time EVER.

The man decided not to go to the 56' Olympics as a high jumper and instead went as a basketball player. The margin of victory for U.S.A. was 55 points.

This channel is so underrated. You should have way more subs and views for the level of quality of your work. I know creators don't get the recognition they deserve all the time, but great stuff man.

It's really friggin depressing that this channel hasn't grown exponentially in the past five years.
I seriously don't understand any of it.
I don't even like the NBA, but I'll watch any video my man does. The NBA storyteller is one of the best creators on UA-cam, regardless of subscribers or view counts.

@@Ty91681 It is just how it is sometimes. We can't control how many people UA-cam pushes the videos out to.
I post everyday sometimes I get 10 views. Sometimes I get 1,000, just have to look past the numbers sometimes. The world is big, and people will appreciate your work.

Bill Russell is like a 6'10" Giannis, with an even stronger mental game. He would destroy in today's nba.

What a lot of people don't understand is that guys like Wilt and Russell weren't just great ball players, they _elite athletes._ To be honest, Russell in today's league might be even more impressive, because scouts might look at him and say, "This guy could be the next Giannis!" These men were unicorns before anyone was even using that term to describe players

It's simple. Old guys would play like today and todays guys would play like old guys. Despite the physical ability, coaching and innovation matters so much.

Another way to compare is to transport the past player to the modern era in a time machine, and then allow him a period of time in which he gets to train using modern methods, prior to trying his hand in an NBA season. The time period could be six months, it could be two years. Up to the person who creates the hypothetical comparison. But based on that specific hypothetical, people could then weigh in on whether that player would dominate or not in today's league.

In 2013 when kyrie did uncle drew I decided I was a cavs fan even tho kd was my faverite player then 2016 happened and people called me a bron sexual. 😒 kyrie had that smug look on espn and said the world is flat and here we are now. Espn has turned into keeping up with the ky-dashians

Bill Russell was a better athlete than 90% of NBA players in any éra. He high jumped 6'9 using the straddle technique to qualify for the 1956 Olympics. He was no athletic slouch.
