Joe, what do you think about comparing logitech mx brio ultra 4k vs Dell wb7022 webcam - PS I am so annoyed I have a sony a6600 going into an ATEM Mini Pro and the video has a fraction of second lag and I just haven't been able to crack it yet. Plus the ATEM Mini Pro makes a lot of noise with its fans keeping it on.
@kurtyaz it's not a bad idea. I love comparing stuff like that. It's a pretty low-budget operation here, so I typically only have review units provided to me on hand. I have an upcoming webcam comparison video coming up in the next month, though
Thank you all so much for making this my fastest growing video since starting this channel. All of the kind words have also been really appreciated. I hope, if you enjoyed the video, that you take the time to subscribe and check out my other videos. There are some bangers in here, I promise. Also, if you look back to my early vids, you'll see how far a UA-cam Channel can come in just a couple of years.
The reason they don't talk about the sensor/lens is because it's the same sensor of their 50 dollar cameras. With the slightly "better" lens. If Sony was smart they would improve their software and sell the ZV-1F as an actual webcam. Heck the DJI Pocklet 2 is 280 and actually takes good video and has a lot of features that would be great for a streaming webcam. The camera sucks, and for 200 sucks double bad
Yeah, I feel like I get the same quality out of my 12 year old Logitech C920 1080p webcam. It's like a hair better quality that they're asking 140 extra dollars for.
Set up a return same day I received it. I’m bias also because I’ve been using my iPhone with continuity camera as my main webcam and I’ve been struggling to find something that compares.
Thanks for saving me endless hours of trying to find if the camera was worth it, but just like every camera out there they sound great on paper and in the end they all suck, I don't get how in 2024 there still is not a webcam that can have a great clear streaming picture.
Like the brio, the 705 model allows IT departments to manage logitech hardware remotely. Everything from office microphones to webcam to speakers to docks. You can see if it's on, perform a remote power cycle, upgrade the firmware for a whole company full of these cameras remotely, and disable certain features like microphones... and it's managed by an it staff, so multiple people can log in (using a two factor). You can also disable the use of the camera completely too. This based was based on my usage of setting up an Enterprise version of the business brio about 6 months ago. All of this is managed by a Logitech cloud portal.
This is great information, thank you. The review guide documentation that logitechj provided highlighted none of that and it would have been great to know. Cheers!

@NickyPasquier i do all that via software. You can take screenshots on OBS if you want. That's generally how i do it. Otherwise, I record multiple poses and use my post software to extract screenshot if I am looking for multiple options.
You are really smooth on camera. I am considering picking one of these up as I am running (attempting to run, anyways) a news channel. I know that I don't need crazy bokeh or anything like that. This camera seems like a good deal. Awesome video, new subscriber!!!
Just picked this webcam up. I have been using the brio for years at my studio but picked up this newest version for my home studio i am building. Well done review. The only thing i disagree with is the fact that you do not have at least 100k subs, really good quality content.
Great review, I'm almost sold on it, but I have an older PC that only has USB A (2.0), do you believe this camera would work with a USB C to USB A adapter?
As someone who frequently switches between a Mac and a Windows PC, I really need my gear to save settings onboard so I don't have to install the software on my work mac. Does this cam save the settings even after unplugging and plugging it into a different machine or is that not a feature? Good review, thanks! :)
Thank you for including reviews of the various software options, and discussing WFH application vs streaming vs gaming. I looked at a few reviews already and none covered the different software and use . Off topic - I wish that Teams and Zooms had many of these features just built into their software.
Thanks, that was very thorough. Just got mine this weekend and hadn't yet removed the sticky/reusable back mount part. Mid way though install and firmware update off it falls from my monitor above my laptop. Fortunately it hit the speaker part of the macbook and not the keyboard or I'd be looking at replacing some keys as this thing has some weight to it. Thinking about making a counterweight to tie to the adjustable clamp mount that then hangs in the back of the monitor to prevent a reoccurrence.
Hi! I have a question about the microphones in the MX Brio webcam. I am testing a webcam and noticed that when recording audio from a microphone, the sound of the right and left microphones is different. Are these stereo microphones or something else? Because the left one sounds bright, and the right one sounds very deep.
Thank you. You did a great job on this video: to the point, stayed on topic, clearly presented and explained everything very well...and you added a bit-O-humor. I understand this product way better per your review of it!
Just got one of these discounted through work. loving it. Would recommend. Also yes the microphone isn't as good as a dedicated microphone (obviously), but it's far better than any other webcam mic I've ever used.
Great review! I own Brio 500. Do You think it's wort upgrading to this one? I need it mainly for streaming - so a little rectangle on the side for my facecam.
If you aren't ever uising it as a full screen camera, you never really need to go to a more premium camera. Even if you are broadcasting in 4K, your facecam takes up like 10% of the screen tops. As long as you are happy with the colour accuracy and you light yourself well, you should be fine.
Great video as usual, camera looks interesting, surprised how good that mic sounded for a webcam other than the usual webcam echo it was really clear. Laughed out loud at you blue eyed Arrakis joke :)
No it doesn't offer anything like that. There was an option when you were zoomed in to allow for reframing but I couldn't get it to work and now I can't find it on any of the software options
@@MiscastJoe Well it's a major limitation for a camera like this one. I really love Logi products, I am using an MX mini at the moment to write and I would be really interested in this camera. But that one is a major feature that is missing. BTW really informative video!
@josephz82 thanks so much. I, personally don't look for that feature in a webcam like this becausei don't like my camera moving with minor changes, which is the case if I am sitting in my chair (the bulk of what I do) and there are cameras that do it much better like the OBSBOT series, where the whole camera moves instead of a digital zoom sliding around.
@@MiscastJoe ok, so you don't think it's a useful feature. Got it. I will think about it. I am also in my chair 99,9% of the time when I use the camera.
The major drawback of these webcams is the tiny sensor. I'm using my Canon R6 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and I have great natural background blur. If you have a Canon dSLR, then use it as a webcam. It's really good...
I just bought the MX (have been using the Brio 4k for 2 years but was excited about the new lens and low light handling) but I'm super disappointed that Logi Capture (which is no longer supported) does not recognize the camera and that Logitech hasn't released a capture/recording app for this. I use Logi Tune to set the lighting correctly and fiddle iwth the camera, but I hate OBS and need to find software to use to record stand alone videos. Any suggestions? I'm about ready to return the MX to Amazon.
@@CookbookDivasShops It doesn't need to be complicated at all. Make one scene with one source and hit record. The best part, beyond that, is that it is ready to grow with you if you need/want to do more. There is no room for growth with Logi Capture or any similar app
Well i love what you can do for your face with any facecam thanks to the Camera Hub software. If you aren't planning on using it for full screen above 1080p, I think you'll be fine. If you are going full screen and looking to do up to 4k, then you may want to consider the change.
In terms of configuring the camera settings, are Options+ and G-Hub offer the complete same options? Also, what's the difference between the MX Brio and the MX Brio for Business version? Thanks, and great video by the way!
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! Yes the two software solutions have the identical settings for the camera, it's just everything else that it offers that determines who they are catering to. Logitune has some extra filters but it is just made up of presets that you can do on your own with the existing settings. The two mics also have the exact same specs. The only difference I saw was its software compatability, but I'd be willing to wager that you could get on most if not all of the same software with both.
Sweet, thanks very much 😊 I can get this through work for like £145, so it’s between this and the Dell WB7022. I’m using it with a Dell UltraSharp U2723QE and an MX Master 3S, so either camera has an app I can manage it with. Edging towards the MX Brio based on your video, sir 😊
How would you compare this with the HyperX Vision S? The review you did didn't have the final scores like you gave the MX Brio in this review in the final conclusion. Was wondering what those numbers would be comparative to this MX Brio?
Would you still recommend getting a DSLR (like an a6400) and use that as a stream cam instead? This assumes the budget is larger of course. Besides price, how does quality compare to the Elgato offering? Great vid.
Thanks so much. I'd say go as far as you are comfortable in terms of budget. You don't have to spend extra money just because you have it. I have a Sony A7iii and Sony ZVE-10, but there is no problem with a facecam pro if you are good at lighting yourself and your area...
Thanks for the kind words. I would lean facecam pro especially if you have other gear that integrates with it like a stream deck or if you want to get a prompter. If you are using it for a non broadcast purpose and you just want a nice looking camera, same the money and go with this
So MX Brio 700 vs 705 - same thing. But how does 700 compare with Brio Ultra HD Pro (business)? Seems like a step down (MX is much taller so would stick out more, zoom 4x in MX vs 5x in Ultra, windows hello in Ultra vs nothing in MX Brio). And is it possible for Logitech to enable Windows Hello with a firmware update later? They could have updated the Ultra HD with a proper white USB-C cable instead.
It's possible that some firmware upgrades may change its compatability, but I couldn't say for sure. This one is really trying to be sold as two things and the the streaming side, too many of these functions are unnecessary. This is why I feel like they needed to make a Logitech G Brio for gamers/streamers and an MX Brio for office/collaboration
Any particular benefit to using the MX Brio over my Pixel 8 Pro? The only benefit I can see would be the seamless integration with my Logitech MX-3 mouse and the Logitech software controls
@@MiscastJoe Great point! I guess since I have Google Messages on my computer I'm still able to have some of my phone's functionality while using it as a webcam. First time viewer here, you've got a sub from me! @@MiscastJoe Yes, but what type? They supposedly have to have video capability. Also, what if you need a longer cable? That is my main issue right now.
I think this beats the original Brio 4K. They put in the work to get more detail out of the MX Brio and their controls will get you where you want to be in terms of colour.
Hi, thanks for reviewing! Do you know other webcams with the same "Show Mode" feature like MX Brio and Brio 500? I also like the "Windows Hello biometric facial recognition" feature, which also works in the dark (I think because of the Infrared Sensor). Do they keep this feature on MX Brio?
There are indeed. The OBSBOT Tiny 2 can do it as well as the Insta360 Link. They also do it at the click of a button because the camera moves on its own
@@MiscastJoe Super interesting! I am looking for webcams like these to replace my wacom tablet. But really don't want to throw away the biometric facial recognition of my current Logitech 4K Pro. I double check OBSBOT Tiny 2 and Insta360 Link, they don't support Windows Hello :(. Sadly, I found another review saying that MX Brio neither support Windows Hello.
It all depends on what you need.. The Brio 500 is a 1080p camera and the MX Brio is 4K. If you are broadcasting full screen in more than 1080p, then you may need the MX Brio. If not, then you are probably fine with the 500
@@MiscastJoe Man, if I could look into a character good or evil I would. Somedays you might feel like spider-man but be seen as Kingpin. (That can be a song!)
I feel this is a webcam for people that don't want to mess with stuff and have money. Also why is there no webcam with 1" sensor but only fullhd. Point of webcam is low noise in low light.
Thanks so much! I've been really fortunate with all of the views and likes this video got, but the kind words from people like you have meant the world to me.
My design idea... a company that makes a decent camera and mic make a camera with a wireless mic. Emeet did this, but the camera and mic were sub-par...
I get that, but not everyone wants to lose access to their phone so it can be their webcam and no webcam is getting built with the processing that makes your phone's camera so good in the first place or they would cost you at least $800, at which point you might as well buy a mirrorless camera.
Since OBSBOT, I find other manufacturers act like scammers. I managed to mount a tail air on my desk, it works 360° on my use cases, for the price, for the years to come.
@@MiscastJoe RDP. Sure it's not pure essential, but to setup gpo's and such that enable password authentication on remote workstations is huge. The easy gimme is the ability to just sit down at my work station and smile rather than type in my 32 character password is a huge bonus. 1Password also works with windows hello. Same deal.

I don't think that can happen because it needs an IR sensor for that, as far as I know
Any particular benefit to using the MX Brio over my Pixel 8 Pro? The only benefit I can see would be the seamless integration with my Logitech MX-3 mouse and the Logitech software controls
The other benefit is that you get your phone back in these situations, but that's up to you as far as what you prefer.
@@MiscastJoe Great point! I guess since I have Google Messages on my computer I'm still able to have some of my phone's functionality while using it as a webcam.
First time viewer here, you've got a sub from me!
Do you have any plans to do reviews on various streaming softwares as well as the various settings to use on them to optimize picture and audio quality? I'm on a Macbook Pro and haven't found much content out there that answers these questions.
Looking forward to your future uploads!
@@jondolly13 thanks so much for the sub, I really appreciate it. I have a lot of plans for comparison videos but I am blessed to be swarmed with new gear to review at all times it seems. I have a couple of software videos I want to make as well as camera, mic, mixer and boom arm comparisons. Stay tuned...
Incredible review thanks a lot man!
Thanks so much
I don't have USB C on my pc, is the a USB C to A cable that will work?
If you get one with the appropriate data capabilities, yes. But you can also just use a USB-C to USB-A Adapter
Thanks
I'm only getting 2160p out of my Brio MX. My pc is usb 3.1 gen 2 . I'm using the supplied usb cord. I could get 4k with my other Brio. ???
Are you plugged into a USB 3 port? Because there are still usually USB 2 ports on a USB 3 motherboard
@@MiscastJoe yes sir
@cbmitchell4796 then definitely talk to theor tech support because there should be no issue getting 4K
Pretty good presentation. Tks.
Thank you so much
Quite a striking look
Thanks Joe. 🙂
What a great review! Thank you 👏
So glad you enjoyed. Thank YOU!
Solid review for sure.
Thanks so much!
What a cool guy! Why can't I have a neighbor like you?
Can you recommend a USB C to USB A longer cable to plug into my PC? My PC does not have USB C. Now what?
USB-C to USB-A adapters work in a pinch. I have a few.
@@MiscastJoe Yes, but what type? They supposedly have to have video capability. Also, what if you need a longer cable? That is my main issue right now.
I'm looking for a comparison vs the Dell UltraSharp WB7022
I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one
Curious. What webcam were you on when shooting this video. I preferred that look over the MX Brio....
It was a Sony A7iii. The body without the lens was $1799 USD. The lens was another $700
@@MiscastJoenice putting the cost out too. So the comparison is between $199 for the Brio and $2499 for your current setup 😅
@@TAPORZZ14 yeah I would have held off on a Mirrorless setup for a long time had these more premium webcams existed
Great review, thanks!
Thank you!
Great review, thanks.
Thanks so much!
Great video!!
Thanks so much!
Does it support Windows Hello?
It does not.
MX vs Original Brio 4K?
I think this beats the original Brio 4K. They put in the work to get more detail out of the MX Brio and their controls will get you where you want to be in terms of colour.
No Windows Hello?
elgato facecam pro mk2 gonna be sick
I can't update the video but I can male something supplemental to the video. Thanks again
How would compare this to the Brio 500? Is the MX Brio that much better? The 500 is $50-$100 less expensive.
It all depends on what you need.. The Brio 500 is a 1080p camera and the MX Brio is 4K. If you are broadcasting full screen in more than 1080p, then you may need the MX Brio. If not, then you are probably fine with the 500
Wow! Great quality!
You look identical to the cop from the opening of "Marlon Craft - Gang Shit (Official Music Video)" no cap.
Wow.. not every day a person hears they look like Kingpin... not every day a person wants to hear that either.. lol
@@MiscastJoe Man, if I could look into a character good or evil I would. Somedays you might feel like spider-man but be seen as Kingpin. (That can be a song!)
You said G hub… thought this used Logitech + software ?
It might but the 3 software solutions that I used in the video were G Hub, Options and Logitune.
I feel this is a webcam for people that don't want to mess with stuff and have money. Also why is there no webcam with 1" sensor but only fullhd. Point of webcam is low noise in low light.
Best video I've found on the Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K. Thank you!
Thanks so much! I've been really fortunate with all of the views and likes this video got, but the kind words from people like you have meant the world to me.
No Windows Hello?
No, sadly
What’s your webcam?
I use a Sony A7iii
Thumbs up
The Dating Site Cam. Brings out the baby blues if you got'em (I don''t lol)
well I hope it brings out your baby browns, greens, hazels or not applicable eyes the way you want it to.
He's correct about sound. You need an external mic unless you don't mind sounding like you're sitting in a bathtub. 😁
My design idea... a company that makes a decent camera and mic make a camera with a wireless mic. Emeet did this, but the camera and mic were sub-par...
Missing Windows Hello is a big fail!
Why software engineers at Logitech are so bad? Why there is no color picker to set WB? Why there is no drag frame to select zoom zone?
HA! What a ham! 02:02
But my baby blues... they pop
A dedicated webcam that’s crappier than my phone. I don’t know why they keep making these
I get that, but not everyone wants to lose access to their phone so it can be their webcam and no webcam is getting built with the processing that makes your phone's camera so good in the first place or they would cost you at least $800, at which point you might as well buy a mirrorless camera.
Dude, I watched your entire video video on mute and it was still educational 👌
@@mertinanc i appreciate that you liked the video. My wife tells me I am most digestible when muted lol
This video i'snt in 4k
No I don't post in 4K but I shoot in 4K. I punch in a lot which would otherwise wreck the quality
Since OBSBOT, I find other manufacturers act like scammers. I managed to mount a tail air on my desk, it works 360° on my use cases, for the price, for the years to come.
Great dune joke
Thanks I was hoping for at least tolerable.. lol
No Windows Hello. Completely makes it trash for my use.
curious what your use case is that makes windows hello so essential.
Same deal.
@@MiscastJoe seems my longer message got killed. RDP, desktop login and 1Password, among other things, are game changers.
@chrisjohnson583 that's fair. Always curious to see how people are using their gear
Great review, horrible camera for the price. You can do better Logitech!
