Indeed, it's one of the most crucial moments in Slime. I've read all of the web novel and there's one other moment even later than this that I think is also pretty important, but that might just be because I really fkn loved that moment. *cough* 'You thought he was angry before?' moment. *cough* It's nothing really though. People tended to forget that the beginning of the story was mainly focusing on worldbuilding and giving the characters personality and traits. the true story comes a little bit later. Season 2 is definitely going to make them eat it. This is where the story picks up.

Trying diplomacy while amassing power without hesitating to retaliate if provoked is a good policy to get big in this world, it's not like Overlord where Ainz and his army are like God from the beginning

He would probably be able to defeat her too if he had consumed everyone he met instead of making friends.
I think this would be a very interesting spin off,one where he is the bad guy
@@peixearrombado the thing about milim is that she's actually broken to the point that she doesn't really get stronger in the story, she's arguably one of the most powerful characters besides the main antagonist and end of the story Rimuru, so while what you're saying might be true about lesser demon lords, milim would still stomp him easily at that point if she got serious.
