I use no EQ on the singled out parts or the parts where it’s just guitar and pedal. Otherwise I do some processing in the mix. Usually just a high pass filter to get rid of some unwanted low end. And maybe a bump at 8k to get some sizzle
Great demo. Love your playing. BUT I do not understand the 'Rodent' thing? If you are thinking a Rat it uses a LM308 or a OP07 OpAmp. The Bright uses the Ibanez TS808 OpAmp which is a jr4558.The Rat is indeed not tight. The ts is the optimum choice for getting definition from a already dirty amp. But the ultimate for that is the often copied ...Pro Tone Pedals Attack OD. It has a 6 position high pass filters so you can select just how open or tight you want your sound. I have run a Mattoverse Bad Passenger Fuzz into a Rat II then into a the original Big Box Rat and got a tight sound. The Bright sounds almost identical to the much older Svi Metal Zoid. The Zoid has even more gain if you need it but I run it about the same as the Bright. I am 74. I got my first pedal when I was just a kid it was the NEW 1962 Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz Tone. It was literally the only dirt pedal on the market. The chord to the amp was a short thing hard wired to the pedal. I took it to a radio repair guy and had him take it out and put in a female phone jack. I think I was the first guy on the planet to have a modded pedal. LOL The pedal cost me $15.00 even though they were going for $35.00. They were considered unsalable at the time. But that's another story. I now have and actually use 82 pedals.I bought and sold about 100 others.
If you could only have one distortion on your board what would it be?

I really enjoy your videos. Do you use some kind of eq on your rhythm sound?
