Firstly. THANK YOU, for listening and responding to a large number of requests for more Micky Flanagan and this was a perfect example. In context Micky is from the poorest part of London:"The East End" and petty theft and criminality were quite normal to get by as he alludes to in other sketches. He now lives in a lovely Middle-Class area, South of The River Thames(London's great divide) in South East London where no one needs to dabble in crime. Micky is a true "Old Skool" Londoner and often does the traditional London Walk of cockiness and being busy in a busy City. In Micky's video about"Americans" you should look up "Cockney Rhyming Slang" as he uses it frequently and it IS difficult to understand.
I loved his wife’s response to Micky refusing to go to the dry cleaners.

This is one of Micky's best. I taught in my last high school , in a small rural town, for 30 years and ended up teaching the teenagers of the teenagers I had previously taught. Now, ten years after retiring and still living in the same town, I can never go out without seeing someone I have known for many years. In such a community, it is a must to say "Hi" to every acquaintance. I can't get involved in the peeping though because there are only two other houses in my street, the other owners have only been in the street for two years and none of us actually ever walks in the street because we are right on the edge of town and there is nowhere that we can or need to walk to, travel is by car only.
The 3rd social encounter in a day is the reason the male nod was invented 😂😂
i was smiling from ear to ear during your intro just because i knew what was coming when you watched this. definitely one of his best and it's one least likely to push your boundaries - i love when Jodi goes 'nope' and turns away from the video if it's something a bit too rude or gross, and plenty of Micky's other material will garner the same response - but i knew this one would sit well with you both. great reaction, thank you.
I adore Micky Flanagan , the man is hilarious live , I love it when he does the Cockney walk , I've had a few Cockney mates and this walk does exist .

As a Cockley I can attest to the fact that the cockney walk/bowl exists, it becomes more pronounced when in the natural habitat of a pub/club and in the presence of other peacocking cockney chaps.

@@beardedloon77 I hope you strut around doing this walk, my old mate Lee was about 45 years old and he used to do the walk if there was a pretty young lady around, they were usually way out of his league, but he soon had them laughing, it used to amaze me because Lee wasn't a looker, but that didn't stop him, he died about 20 years ago, he was a good mate, miss him loads.
Mickey is a great standup comedian. he can really hold a story and hold his audience. he is on Al Murray level.
No "e" in Micky and a capital letter required at the beginning of each sentence.
Mickey Flanagan is a legend over here across the pond. I heard the out, out joke yrs ago from time. The way he delivered it I practically pissed myself. It's a normal now here to ask you out or are you out out. It's in the English vocabulary. Especially if your working class. He knows it lol . OI OI saveloy Mickey 👍

Definitely one of my favourites
Come to think of it, did you know he was a school teacher for a bit like you guys. He covers that part of his life in the you tube "comedy store" videos part 1 & 2. This is probably the best UA-cam set you'll find for Micky, he was on absolute fire that night and it really put him on the map.
When you say you love his accent just remember this is the authentic cockney accent. Then watch Dick Van Dyke’s attempt at the same thing in Mary Poppins and you will see why Brits were so shocked at it and not very impressed!
I had someone like that in our neighborhood. Everywhere you happened to be, he would pop up. I would duck and dive and leave wherever I was.
Great reaction to a great bit of comedy, it's possibly one of the most relatable things that people do whether they admit to it or not, everyone has peeped through their curtains at some point in their lives
Micky is about to embark on his 4th sell-out tour, I suggest this to others. Take an hour or 3 and watch his full tours, enjoy them, chop them and you have content in the bank. Your ability to get a strong accent is impressive. 3rd one "An, another fing" was my fave, Mick is as raw as they come.
Seeing as you get the cockney accent may I suggest Catherine Tate (a sketch show artist) Nan.

The proper way to deal with a possible 4th meet is to go the long way to the shops. Remember, 3 left turns = 1 right. Doesn't work if you live in a cul-de-sac.
Micky was doing stand-up for over 10 years before he found success. He's definitely a well seasoned comedian and you can tell.
Indeed - there are earlier incarnations of some of his routines which you can see have become more refined and better honed over time.

Noticed you haven't tried Michael McIntyre yet, he's the other of the 3 current most commercially successful UK comedians (Kay and Flanagan being the other 2, all 3 are currently on 16 month tours in the UK). "Michael McIntyre on Winter" is a great 3 min taster you might want to try to see if he's your cup of tea as we say in England. Thanks again love the channel.

@davidlee-zw8rf I appreciate your opinion, but a lot of people would disagree. I was simply highlighting to boring reviews that in terms of mainstream commercial popularity in the UK that McIntyre is like Kay and Flanagan breaking records at the O2 etc... So much so that he was given 2 prime time Saturday night TV shows on the BBC in the UK. Definitely worth a look a reckon.
You really need to watch his “live at the Apollo” set. It’s 12 minutes of pure quality.

I'm not triggered or upset, when you listen to British humour the cadence and flow is as important as the content , just like listening to a song on the radio and you wouldn't pause a song and discuss how what is being said relates to your life..

Sorry you didn’t like it. We usually talk about the comedy and how we liked it as well. I haven’t seen this reaction since I edited it but I can pretty much guarantee you’re lying there. This was one of our favorite videos that we reacted to ever. It’s hilarious and we definitely say that and more in this video. Try watching the whole thing instead of just some and then being super sensitive over odd things and complaining.
