Love the great idea of using vellum to help with choosing image placemat. Thankyou! Daphne’s Diary is such a beautiful and inspiring magazine. We receive them in newsagent stores a few months late here in Australia but at what I think is a reasonable price and excellent value for money. Thus I try to treat myself to two issues each release, one to keep intact and another to use 🙂 Thoroughly enjoy seeing how creative other crafters are with these treasures ❤

I live in Arizona in the desert in the winter where the winter is very mild. Not very cold might freeze two or there times. Then we have very hot summers. I have a home in the eastern part of Arizona where the elevation is high 7 thousand ft. We live in a forest where people ski in the winter we go there in the summer where it is cool. No air conditioning. The desert where we live in the winter can get up to 120 degrees F . That is why we go to the mountains for the summer. When I was a child I spent all my summers in the desert . HOT! I'm in the forest May~ Nov. very nice. If get the best of the two.😊😊 Thank you for sharing.

I live in Northern Michigan, USA. We are very close to the 45th parallel, or the same as Bordeaux, France. Everyone thinks it's very cold here, but the winter's can be very mild, especially in recent years. And we are surrounded by fresh water, which dictates most of our weather. We have experienced the really warm summers too (July & August) but we have access to swimming in the Great Lakes & in Michigan, you are never far from a river or lake. We have short summers but wonderful fall & spring weather. Even winter is not bad, but can be long. My husband & I are retired & have talked about moving to be closer to family, but it's so beautiful here & I can't imagine what would be nicer. I love your new diary idea. The altered book worked so well & was really pretty too. I love watching your videos & look forward to part two.

Gorgeous papers and I love your process…the thinking out loud,auditioning the parts etc.but what made me react was when you said”bone folder” ? and was querying that you had correct word. I did exactly the same,with the exact same object earlier in the day😱I was looking for it and thought why bone folder? Bone sure,but folder? Then when you paused after saying it I knew exactly what went through your mind. It seems such an inappropriate word in a way. Just thought I would let you know it happens to me fairly often actually,I say a word and it sounds strange at the time. This Daphne Diaries Journal cover is just so pretty and girlie. Love it much. I've been collecting her magazines for a long time. I think they are just beautiful. I agree with the other commentators that they keep getting more expensive for those outside of U.K. and with inflation many people might just stop purchasing them.

Love the journal and it's funny because I chose the same place because I wanted the girl on the front cover,but I kept the girl on the bike inside.. I love the Daphne's Diary magazines too. They are just so neat!! I have a couple here that I bought used off Ebay. You have to be so careful with copyright rules. I don't really understand it, but no one wants to be sued, so best to avoid it if possible!! I love your journal cover. So darling!!
I love this magazine, too and your videos! Here in Ohio in the USA, we have all 4 seasons and I really enjoy the different changes in the weather. We can have summer days in the 90's F and below 0 F in the winter! These days are extremes and rarely last more than 3 days in a row before the weather changes again. In spring and fall, the temperature can range from 35 F and snowing to 60 F and sunny in one week. Like all 4 seasons in one week! I prefer the colder temperatures to the hotter ones. 🙂
Delicious as always Martyna. Re the copyright issue, they probably use other artists' illustrations and whilst they have rights to distribute to their customers, the licence might not extend beyond that. Although I thought use in artwork was considered fair use.
Just an idea: how about a weekly challenge to you where we, your subscribers/viewers suggest 3-5 items that you have to make something with ie a journal page, a cover, a journaling card, a bookmark or whatever you feel like - a bit like Margreet Millers challenges... but where you let us take part and see what you can create... I would love to see + it will give you something new to do... as I say, just an idea xxx Millie

Hi so love finding your channel I was starting to get very disappointed in the channels that I have watched since I started a couple of years ago they would put so many pockets in each page and fill them it seems like they got away from the art that the ephemera creates and thank you for Meg journal channel I love hers as well so I went back and unsubscribed to all of those that I had in the beginning. And I just found Daphine’s diary about six months ago and it is amazing I wish there was a site where I could post some of my ephemera that I’ve made for my journal My family wants me to sell but as I get older my memory isn’t as good and so I use them as a reference.I’m 75 but I love this type of artwork and your sweet personality reminds me of my granddaughter that lives with me you are my happy place
Yes I think that is a bit of a shame with the images as I agree with Electric Hen it does cost a lot for us outside of the EU plus they are such lovely images too you want others to see the beauty too share it 😕 this is going to be a fabulous journal. I intend to look for vintage magazines in antique shops as they are more like a pound or something and just as nice images too some of them. Now and again you can pick up a bargain on ebay too or even Etsy with magazines.
I quit buying this magazine because of their copyright policy. Just NOT worth the $$$ to me. Yes, the images are gorgeous, but I'm not paying that much money for something that I won't be able to use in my journals. If I make a personal one, it still isn't worth the price, in my opinion.
