The 87a stepped barrel bushing pairs very nicely with Bear's 83a barrel on top, gives me nice rebound and lots of carving response, but I'm honestly not sure if it's just the knuckle doing that hahaha.

I have the same questions. I'm using nipples bushing on Bear 852 Gen 5 and it was a very tight fit, and took quite a long time putting them together. Knucles look slightly are smaller and hopefully will be easier to install.
Probably Purple Nipples if you want some extra stability. You could try Orange and tighten them down, but it's better to have a slightly harder bushing that you can quickly adjust the tightness with a few small turns of your king pin.
Man i need to lose or gain some weight i am 85 KG which is the limit of the orange bushing. With clothes and a heavy backpack i am easily 90kg. I also have this problem with flex 1 or 2 boards. Flex 1 is a bit to stiff for my liking and flex 2 almost to flexy. Luckily the icarus flex 2 supports up to 95 KG and i really notice that. Love my icarus board so much. Best longboard deck i have ever encountered hands down. (Especially when considering the deck costs less than 250 euro's) I also have an dervish sama flex 2, but that one supports up to 85 kg. With my heavy backback the board doesn't feel great. Without my backback it rides awesome. (I use my longboards mostly to ride to school and work thats why i am riding with a backpack on.)
Weight limits are just an average.. I ride 84a bushings even tho the recommended duro for my weight is 88a-90a. Same for board flex it's a matter of preferences. If you are happy with it don't change it, get used to it and you'll soon won't notice the difference between flex 1 and 2
Also of orange bushings feels too soft for your liking, try combining purple boardside and orange roadside, this way you'll have more stability while still being able to take quick turns as the bottom bushing will compress more easily
