Nice video . For about 30 years now, my son's and I have occasionally used small jig heads and plastics, and even attache the jig to a Beetle Spin, spinner . The Brookie's go absolutely nuts over it .
Excellent video! Well done! Every video have been fun to watch! They seem to be getting better and better. All have been interesting and put together well.
Just started trout fishing this year. Vermillion has some of the biggest brown trout. Could be up to 25 inches for stream trout. Please understand that it’s only catch and release in that area.
Me and my sister also started trout fishing this year and have been hitting up Vermillion a few times but always nothing but northerns so far 😑. Whitewater has been awesome though and found a few little streams in Bloomington with brookies.
Whitewater is a very good too. Been there a lot but I mostly just catch rainbow there. For the Vermilion you will need to venture a little deeper into the wood where there’s not a lot of pressure. I use both spinners and live bait. On deep pools I like to toss spinners first, if no action then live bait (worms) as well as powerbait eggs.
You need to to go up the trout creek run stream in whitewater.... Thats where all the brookies are. I got lucky last time I went a few weeks back.... Got all three... Brookie rainbow and brown. (Theres a small flooded beaver pond not far from the south parking lot where the trout run creek flows into the whitewater.... Really good hot spot and you wont run into the rainbows as much). We gotta explore the vermillion better...the eastern side further down is where I heard the big browns are... We were only fishing that park in Farmington so far....... Northern city 🤣
Excellent again. I down at Dubuque and fish Swiss Valley and catch some Trout also but on the # 6 P-M in Gold Yellow with black dots. I was having good luck with Berkley mouse tails also. My stream is smaller than the one you are fishing but just as clear, I tried Berkley 4lb XL clear line on my spinning rod but I was having lots of hits and was having a problem setting the hook on the fish, I felt my line had to much stretch or my rod did not have enough back bone. Was wondering what line are you using ? TC
Hi man i love fishing trout and other species but i don't know a lot of places to fish them can you please tell me how this stream called or the location please!!!
I'm fishing in southeast Minnesota. There are many streams just like the one in this video. Go to the Minnesota DNR website and look up the designated trout waters. There are many with open public access. Good Luck!

Mostly on the Whitewater river. Haven’t been to Trout creek since Google map show it as kinda small but will try. Thanks
Can I get some info on the area you were fishing? I never know where to go that isn't private property.
Root River South Fork, generally speaking the farther you are willing to walk the better the fishing. Good Luck!

Thank you! I typically use 6-8 lb clear smooth casting trilene mono for trout.
What is the biggest Brown you have caught?
I fish Lake Superior often and caught my biggest brown trout there which was close to 30 inches. My biggest stream trout was around 18".
Nice Video! Congrats, creeping up on 1k subs.
Thanks for the continued support!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that area
Do you ever get smallmouth in that creek?
No, I have never caught smallmouth there. I think its possible farther downstream as it gets closer to the Mississippi River.
Anymore walleye videos coming soon?
