Just getting out there and appreciating our country is what it's about. As you guys said. Absolutely stunning and with the snow too! Thanks Guys
Too right mate! There's some incredible places hiding away in the Alps!
Little Lakes of jewels, mountain peaks as precious stones. You could make a sweet career with that camera.
Thank you, that's the plan!
Well done guys! Very inspirational. Thanks for sharing I have had a few misses lately also, I dont feel to bad now after seeing 3 shots fired and missing! 🤣 It does happen to the best of them.
Hahah we couldn't believe our eyes as they ran off 😂
I spent a few years looking at that spot on the map before actually going there. Certainly worth it and popping over the tops is worth the effort too. On a side note, there are some really good shooting training courses run at Sparrowhawk in South Canterbury ;)
Yeah we really wanted to pop up and over but with that storm rolling in decided to stay close to our campsite in case it turned to custard! Hahah I'll pass it on to Raddy 😂😂
Awesome spot!
Great sports, love it. Dam, the old loose scope, had that more than once. Mean guys, nice one
Haha yup definitely a lesson well learnt!
Fabulous video, stunning scenery and love how much enjoyment and appreciation you both have for it ❄️
Cheers mate, we're bloody lucky to have such awesome areas so close to home!
Beautiful place, great edit as always… so good to be taken along through the window you give into your back yard🙌 Merry Christmas to all “the boys” and your families, looking forward to seeing the adventures you all get up to in the new year 🤙
P.s. The when the water crossing slip up happened, looked like the rifle took a pretty good knock! Things seemed to flow on from there, if you boys took a minute to sight back in after the stack I reckon you would have been hiking out with a lot more weight on your backs… love the videos regardless of outcome on the side of stocking the freezer there is always a lot more to take away from each episode!!! ✌️
Thank you mate 🙌 yeah in hindsight that definitely could've done it. I don't think either of us thought he bumped it at the time, thought he'd saved it! Never a unsuccessful trip so long as you get out 😄
thks boys from a old hunter great to see
Absolutely fantastic. You do not disappoint. Woke up to this yesterday before work. It made my day. We have fog and Omicron here in Oxford. What a contrast. Thanks Mitch and Raddy.
Thanks Paul! As per usual such a nice comment mate, appreciate your support 🙌 We've got it very lucky here in NZ
Wow~~ nice camping and hunting video!! Thanks very much!!!😎
Awesome guys, this was my favourite so far. The quality of your videos is getting really good. Attention to editing, film quality and storyline is showing through 👌
Cheers Finn! Appreciate the feedback bro, happy new years 🍻
Great work guys
Absolutely stunning and breathtaking landscape! Looking forward to my second visit to your beautiful country. From sunny & humid Singapore.
It's a pretty awesome spot alright! Good on ya, cheers for the comment 🍻
Cracking video guys! They keep getting better and better.
Thanks mate 🙌
Another great vid. Love the drone shots. That camp by the tarn was magic
Cheers Rob 🍻
Great work, great Country guys. Awesome! When you crossed that river on the walk-in, i actually thought you knocked that rifle when you had that fall!
Cheers mate! Yeah that definitely could've been it!
Awesome video guys 👍
Enjoy the journey with u.
Nice video, what magnificent country. Keep it up.
Thanks, we're spoilt for choice here!
You guys are on!! So good seeing yas grow. Keep it up 👌
Cheers Keith! Appreciate the support mate 🙌
Your videography is next level .. seriously great video and storytelling! :)

Awesome. Your vids get better and better.
Thank you!
Awesome team. Thanks for your vids, I look forward to next year, merry Xmas
Cheers Steve, right back at ya 👍
Brilliant as always boys..good on yaz boys
Cheers mate 🍻
Great video and editing again. Great stuff
Thank you!
Well done lad
Enjoy this such a lot, as from a visit from UK 8 years ago went hunting with a couple of guys at "skippers" - bloody hell they nearly killed me climbing - awsome day out. Love to come back one day.
Hahah they're good like that! Type 2 fun
Cracked it again boys, you're living a dream
Raddy's humour over missing the deer was priceless, and as I reckon "you haven't shot many animals, if ya haven't missed a few as well" ... and unfortunately wounded the odd one
Good that it was the scope that was a screw lose, and not him lol
Hahah he took it like a champ!
Keep up the great vids boys. Get rid of those rings that clamp to the dovetail and get some that use the holes that are drilled and tapped in the receiver. I like the Talley Lightweights on my Tikka
Cheers mate, appreciate the advice. I'll pass it on to raddy 🍻
Great trip guys ,yup think your scope took one for the team .
Cheers mate, yeah it definitely did! Would be worried for Raddy if that was all user error 😂
Merry Christmas to you and yours guys, safe hunting and regards,, Tony.
Cheers Tony! Merry Christmas to you as well mate 👍
Good stuff fellas
🍻
Excellent content; beautiful scenery. I was wondering if you didn't bump the scope on your hike up the mountain right when you missed that first shot. Sure enough! Happened once to a mate of mine as well.
Thanks mate! Yeah must of taken a decent hit! Couldn't stop laughing once they were gone hahaha
Just magic lads! Might have to check the sighting-in on that rifle!
It was shooting quite high... must've bumped it on the way in!
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 yes, probably that slip at the creek crossing - I've done the same thing.
I thought I was the only one who messed up shots like that! Now I see that I'm not alone. Makes you weep to see three stags run away like that, when at least one of them should be on its way to your freezer, but, makes you appreciate it all the more in the future when things go perfectly and your deer drop at the first shot.
Hahah never feels good! At least none of them limped away!
Nice one lads, doesn’t hurt to educate the odd deer ( my excuse for missing lol)
Hahah too right mate, wise up those stags 😂
Great vids. Why don’t you do one on all the gear you use and take on your trips. And any tips or favourite bits of gear you have or use.
We've been wanting to film one of those for a while, we've been changing gear a bit recently though so we want to give it a good go before recommending it 👍 so far so good though!
Wow, the footage you guys are producing now days is amazing. You're making me homesick!! Just out of interest, what weight packs are you carrying?
Thanks mate, we appreciate the comment! Depends on the trip, definitely getting a bit more weight with the camera gear. I'd say about 25-30kg for a weekend mish and a bit more for the longer trips
Firstly; get those rings replaced for some decent ones haha. Second; awesome content like always and good laughs.
One minor note, some of the scenes appear a touch juddery, like the fps has dropped while being edited or something (Watching on max quality).
Yeah not a bad idea at all! Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed the vid! We have a few issues with the drone and our main camera in low light, what scenes in particular if you can remember?
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 yea probably the panning drone shots you can just notice it. It's just a minor note, still some incredible filming and footage.
Awesome video guys.. well done... what caliber are you shooting with?
Thanks mate. .308, so long as you hit them it does the trick 😂
Have you guys ever come back to Kea damage at a camp you've set up?
Nah but we've heard plenty of stories! Had to pickup a tahr hunter on a flight out of the Wataroa who's tent had been ripped to shreds by them, would've caused him some serious issues with where he was camping. We try and take the tents down if we know there's a few in the area
Banged your rifle very badly crossing the water? Did u site it in again? Took pretty good tumble
Yeah we must have, didn't even check it... hindsight's a beautiful thing... lesson learnt!
What drone were u using
DJI mini 2 👍
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 Does the wind affect it like when your taking your cinematic shots?
