Amazing. Thank you so much for this very useful tip indeed. I have been searching exactly for this type of cell behavior for ages. All I got was garbage till now. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Hi, this is awesome work. I just found you on my UA-cam feed but i am happy i did. I am beginner freelancer with exxel being my tool of business. This video is super useful
This is exactly what I needed but I have encountered a problem; if I want to change the date once I have already picked one, the calendar box says "Overwrite contents? OK/Cancel" but when I click OK it doesn't change it in the chosen cell :(
SUPER helpful. The only thing I would edit is the location of the date pick when it appears. When it is so close to the cell, it hides the drag function of that cell. A quick fix is to put a "1.5 x cell width" in the code to offset the date picker just a bit.
Totally on board - until the very end when you tell us that it wont work unless the macro is installed on every PC that will be using this. Why did you wait to state this? Kind of important right up front - no?
Thank you very much for your great video. Would you mind sharing with us how to highlight the date which already been filled in the popup calendar? I tried to use the Highlight Range of Dates option but it seems to highlight a fixed value or range instead of a dynamic one as the mouse-selected cell.
Hey, Thanks for the big help! Really appreciate it! But I would like to share that if I try to change the date format in the code, it doesn't work. Can you please resolve it?!
I changed the name of the object to Calendar, pasted in the code into the Visual Basic (correct sheet), and saved.. when I minimized the VB, the calendar didn't hide. I can't figure out what I missed.
help - I added the code and it works great for the calendar but now the "undo" function does not work on the sheet with the code. Any thoughts how to use undo with this code?
Hi . this is a a great fix. I have a workbook with about 30 worksheets. Anyway to edit the code so I can put in into the workbook once, without having to edit every single sheet?
Any ideas how you set the calendar to open in a set position and not right next to the cell please?

Well done to you!!
What is the macro code that you use to run the VBA? For my Microsoft 365 I am being prompted to run a macro with my VBA
Can this be done with multiple columns that aren’t next to each other?

When I do this on a brand new Workbook, it works. But for workbooks I have already created, it doesn't. Any ideas?

Solution! Just a side note: Macros must be enabled for this to work.
Plz help! This works on a new worksheet but not an existing worksheet. Any ideas?? Thanks!
Well for the macro part to work, the file needs to be saved with the extension .xlsm. Check that!
Thank u so much
Thank you, Thank you and 100 more. You are so generous with your knowledge.
Hi so I did like your video and it worked but only 1 problem, I cant overwrite the date?
help - I added the code and it works great for the calendar but now the "undo" function does not work on the sheet with the code. Any thoughts how to use undo with this code?
Hi, How can you change it to the language of the calendar?
Hi . this is a a great fix. I have a workbook with about 30 worksheets. Anyway to edit the code so I can put in into the workbook once, without having to edit every single sheet?
Thanks ! No more waste of time !
Does this process work for a mac?
Can you insert from date picker for multiple cells?
There might be a way to do this with a macro!
Thank you so muck
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
I am unable to get this macro to work. Could it be because my excel is in another language?
My excel is set to the language of Danish
the calendrer opens in a browser instead on excel, any fix you know of?
Thank you!
How to overwrite the date in same column?
If you try to select a different date, the calendar has a pop-up that asks "Overwrite Contents?" so you just need to click OK!
Im getting and error in this line of the code "ActiveSheet.Shapes("Calendar").Visible = True". I dont understand why lol
How can we use it without the add-in?
Unfortunately that's not possible. Excel hasn't released a calendar feature, so we rely on the add-in!
does not work for me
Horrible video. I followed step by step and it resulted in me having to delete my sheet and start over
