Megan, my love, you have a real house with 2 little kids!! YES we are with you. Especially on the bathroom. Bottom of my priority list lol - keeping the public high traffic areas clean and the laundry sort of caught up takes enough time lol.
Also highly relate to the "keep pushing through because if I stop, Im done" hahaha yep
The kids could participate in cleaning and putting the toys back in their place after each activity or before bedtime, works great for us. I also think less is more. Clutter can be really stressful for everyone and makes cleaning so much harder.
For the mirrors/windows: VINEGAR!!!! I use it on everything glass (and stainless steel) and it leaves everything streak free! The trick is to keep wiping (I go in circles) until there’s no more spray left on the surface you’re cleaning. Hope this helps 😊

This is so real and relatable. Your home is loved and lived in. Yeah they get messy, cluttered, and a little dirty but it’s not filthy. It happens to all of us! This makes me want to get a jump on my kiddo’s bathroom and some of the jobs I’ve been putting off. You’re doing great!!

Looks great! I’ve given up on rotating toys. Instead I super paired down and I switch up where the toys are located every so often. I’ll take toys from his room and bring them to the playroom
and vice versa. Somehow doing that has the same effect as rotating. I lost my rotation closet when we had our daughter last year and I realized I was kind of missing the time window for some toys (as in he was outgrowing things I hadn’t rotated in) so now it’s all out but we have less of it! Working great for us!
One of my least favorite chores to do is clean my stove, so it's the area in my house that's always grimy and it's embarrassing! I make almost every meal from scratch so it only takes a couple of days (or hours!) for it to get dirty again, and I just don't have the gumption to keep it clean. Got my kitchen vacuumed and mopped while watching though, thanks for the motivation!

Love that you're keeping it real and showing the daily mess because we can all relate to that. Also a tip for cleaning the kids bathroom that I find works pretty well is to clean something well they're in the bath. You don't have to clean the whole space so you'll still have time to play with your kids in the tub, but maybe one night you clean the toilet, the next bath night the counter and sinks get a good scrub, and so on. Works pretty well 😊

YES to the filming the cleaning to body double! It seriously helps so much! Also I have no idea why bathrooms are so hard to clean either but man the thought of scrubbing a bathtub just makes me wanna die a little inside lol.

I loved this! My bathroom gets so dirty too, especially with dust. Also… it’s refreshing to see your place like this! You certainly aren’t alone. This is “lived in” mess lol. We don’t have kids and it gets the same for us. It slowly builds until eventually you’ve had enough and can’t take it anymore. Or people are coming over, whichever is first lol
Also your comment on homemaker, I feel the same! Except I do enjoy cleaning, when I have gas in the tank for it. But life (work,commute, gym, cooking) gets in the way. I tell my husband all the time I could just be a stay at home wife. Cook and bake everything, grow our veggies and herbs, clean, and I’d be very happy 😂 sadly in this economy in Canada, unless we win the lotto we need both our incomes
Vinegar+water for windows or the envirocloth+window cloth from Norwex are both amazing window cleaners!! I actually use the enviro& window cloth the most and my step dad ran into our door window once bc he said he thought it was open!! 😅
For mirrors I use e cloth microfiber they have one for glass and you only need water!
You’re so real for this, I can’t stand other content creators that act like their house is clean 24/7, especially with kids that’s never the case! My house is a mess and has been this way for weeks, I feel like I’m going crazy trying to keep up with everything. 😩 The bathrooms are my least favorite. Also, believe it or not shaving cream foam (the men’s canned one) works WONDERS for mirrors!

I feel so seen! You are so not alone- and I laughed so hard while I body doubled with you and you said "if I stop, I'm done" SAME.
I tidy as i go, end of each day I put stuff away so it's not a huge chore. I think its a bit of OCD as i cant leave stuff everywhere or it irritates me and i cant go to bed until its tidy. I actually like tidying but cleaning i hate so try to avoid until it bugs me. I would love to tidy your house, its beautiful!
I found water and newspaper cleans mirrors well.
Love this vlog and I hear you in a lot but I just keep on my cleaning schedule and chip away each day so it’s like almost nothing now. I love being a homemaker but focus so much on the tasks you say are harder for you and I find it harder to focus on what I think are the fun creative ones because I feel guilt if I have a mess but want to bake or create or sew! I wish we were neighbors we could trade off lol !!!
You are my treat to watch while I wash my dishes. I would enjoy more clean with my videos. I always feel inspired after watching your declutter/cleaning videos. I use a microfiber window cloth that cleans with water. I’ve been pretty happy with it.

E-cloth works great for me for windows and mirrors. Only need to wet the cloth

For windows and mirrors, use distilled water. It's annoying, but that's how you get streak free.

I love videos like this and gardening also. My dad bought me something like you have to clean the bathroom showers 100% worth buying but charge it to the landlord 100% spray the shower walls and bathtub let it soak for ten or gif minutes then go back and use it. I love mine.❤❤❤❤
My favorite natural window cleaner is the brand Attitude. I use all their products and their window/glass cleaner is incredible! At first I didn’t think it would be but after drying I was shocked ! And it’s so affordable!

I find that toy rotations do get harder the older your kids get and the more kids you have. I have just accepted the fact that that is something I don't have control over anymore. Also, ADD definitely does not help when it comes to sticking to the rotation.
Have you try rubbing alcohol or vinegar for glass cleaning?
Ive tried a few mirror and window cleaners and also cant find anything better.. its like theyve been doing it since 1936.. tried grove and blueland , kept the bottle threw away the solution.. windex does have a new plastic free concentrate
The plusside of living in a 3 room appartment. You can't accumulate a lot of dirt or you couldn't move anymore.😂
You need to grab yourself some microfibre cloths :)
