Had a great time watching that Shug. If I weren't so tied down in these piney woods, I just might move closer to those piney woods! Beautiful up there! Ken
You rock Shug ! Wish ya had a weekly TV show but then again I don't you make em better than Hollywood by keeping it real and off the cuff. Enjoyed as always Sir Shug.
Whoo Buddy! Another killer trip! Widow Makers, Wolves and creative camera shots. The camera on the paracord is pure genius and in the end it looks like some a Shug's craziness rubbed off on Wonderin Fool. Wish I had 1/2 your energy and skills! Rock on!
Your videos inspired my brother and me to drive 1100 miles to hike 54 miles on the SHT. It was September and the leaves were beautiful. It is absolutely worth the drive.
I've been camping/hiking all my life. I never even considered using a hammock until I watched some of your vids..awesome.. will never go back to the ground.. umm unless the knots fall apart.. thanks dude
Shug, Hadn't been on the trail since "76" but you inspired me to get back out there. Started to hike the AT again after many years and it was invigorating. Your videos even encouraged me to get a hammock and it has been great not luging a tent around. Look forward to seeing your next video. MN is very beautiful this time of year. Were just coming into the peak colors here in south central PA.
What a great trail and camp sites WOW! Those fall colours on the trees were amazing, it has started here in the U.K. too or Autumn as we call it. Fab vid, Shug & Wanderinfool. :-)
The shot with the camera on the zip line and you two racing to the hammocks had me in stitches. Replayed it 3 times. It reminded me of a recent vid where you said something into the camera then chucked into the air, funny stuff. Keep it up.
MMMMmmmmMMM, that meal at the end looked good! This was my first peak at 2011's fall colors. Looked like y'all had a mighty fine time out there. Nice hang spot on the first night. Thanks for sharing brother.
Shoooog! I have probably watched three or four dozen hours of you, and never ever laughed gut-bustin' out loud like I did with that shameful covetous remark. That hit my funny bone, man. You're promoting healthy living and putting a geeky techy edge on it. I can't tell you how much you've taught all of us. Thanks! -Jonathan in Sector Seven, baby!
Great little trip, glad the tree didn't take you two out. . I was on a hike when. I heard a crack stopped and a tree top came crashing down right in front of me. . So can be a little nerve wrecking.
Woods looked like they were full of fruit loops eh? Not sure about the full part but I will agree that there was at least two lol Sorry Shug couldn't resist, great video as always man.
Man Shug, I'm chomping at the bit to get up the SHT with my snazzy new blackbird hammock. I've never been up there hiking, but it sure looks great on your videos. Maybe I'll stumble into you when I'm completely lost. I'm planning to get up there early June with my brother. Thanks for the great videos. I truly enjoy them.
Very nice Shug thanks sharing this one for sure. Love those fall colors. And I really like your music too. Got any info on how to do the String Cam thing?
Shug, winter is rolling in and I was wondering what kind of layering of bags/quilts you were using to get sufficient temp ratings to stay warm in your -20F videos?
Hi Shug, greetings from Sacramento CA. I like your sense of humor, You make me laugh. You must have some Irish blood like me, except you sound Cajun and you're from Minnesota. Oh well, hoist a pint of Guinness for me. Slainte!
Another great movie as usual. Hey Shug, this week I bought an Eagle Nest Outfitters hammock. I'm slowly conforming to your habits. btw, how did you perform that special camera action in camp? It looks as if the camera was on some kind of trolley system. Or was there a third party that came by to help you out? I've learned alot from your videos. Thanks! Briz
Shug, thank you so much for the videos. I have learned so much and am loving hammock camping even more than ever. Btw what knife are you carrying on this trip?
I watch these videos over and over. Hey Shug, my brother and I plan to do a trek from Crosby Manitou to Cascade River State Park September 17-23 or 24. Will there be parking available on a Saturday afternoon at either park?
You look like a fun hiking partner. After all these years on UA-cam I just decided to look at SHT videos tonight. How did you do some of these shots? Like the one with the camera facing the river and smoothly going over it. Very impressive! Is your tarp made of cuben?
Another killer Shug vid!! Loved the camera chasing you guys into camp. Quite slick!! Was that the place you had your wolf encounter a while back? Looks familiar. Please keep up the great work...
Gotta watch those widow-makers. Sometimes the dead top comes loose and falls straight down--not with the rest of the tree. Something like that would have hit Wandering Fool.
Great video! I enjoyed it. Quick question...did you use some kind of flying camera mount to get those shots at about 3:00 mins into the video? Thanks for sharing and i'm subscribing.

Your videos inspired my brother and me to drive 1100 miles to hike 54 miles on the SHT. It was September and the leaves were beautiful. It is absolutely worth the drive.

all those rivers, do you not do fishing in sector 7. i'm from the twin cities and I usually go down south, but maybe I should come up north!
I film rather than fish. Maybe someday but I really have never been into fishing. I do like napping though.
What kind of sheath is that on your Mora? Did you make it yourself? Looks like some sweet kydex action!
I like the low camera angle. It has a real Army Of Darkness (evil dead) vibe.
Thankee.
You look like a fun hiking partner. After all these years on UA-cam I just decided to look at SHT videos tonight. How did you do some of these shots? Like the one with the camera facing the river and smoothly going over it. Very impressive!
Is your tarp made of cuben?
