You set your battles to Rookie Hunter Mode, didn’t you? That explains why you didn’t receive so much damage from Sigma in every battle.
Velguarder is a pushover with the buster and goes down easier with Shot Gun Ice or a well placed Hadoken.

@@docmagnus6890 In the Legacy Collection There is a mode called Rookie Hunter that lowers the damage that you take. Basically a Easy Mode.

I love how people are getting upset over the rookie mode. C'mon now you guys :/ it's there for people to enjoy the game if they're not experienced in it. I'm still pretty shitty at megaman x games (save for a few) so I won't deny rookie mode for some.

That's usually what happens with any game that uses a considerable amount of skills. People generally are judgemental towards those who uses the easy way.

The problem of these easy modes is how they end up undermining the experience for the newcomer by going overboard, and giving the gaming journalists most of which are beyond incompetent as well as corrupt the easy time they shouldn't even need to begin with if they were actually half as competent as they should be.
I feel that Megaman as a series doesn't need it since people who will seek out these games are usually more than prepared to face these challenges, and casual players will most likely stick to their mundane releases of franchises like Pokemon that have a better target audience for attracting as many souls in as possible. Simpler and more mindless the gameplay and bigger the marketing, better profits.

Sigma has acquired some rad cosplay taste over the history of megaman x franchise.
From imitating star wars jedi in x1 to going for a astro boy pluto look in x8.
In x8 he's huge,has big ass horns on his heads,he is basically pluto from astroboy with slight modifications and his aesthetic has evolved to the demon/giant motif that that he's gone beyond theimitating and hijacking bodies stage.

@@cauafernandes4333 not really; 1 and 2 was sigma from the beginning; 3 tried to "hide it" but no one that played the original saga bought it; 4 it was obvious the "mysterious villain" was sigma. 5 was sigma from the beginning. 6 was the first one where they actually just inserted him in the last minute. 8 is the only one where the reveal villain was someone else

Still would rather have that over his second phase in X6, where you could cheese him since you can stand directly underneath him and spam Shadow Armor Giga Attack or Ensuizan when he opens his mouth for his Shoop Da Whoop attack.
Not to mention, his first phase in X7 is much better since he doesn't shamble like a zombie and actually puts up a fight, unlike in X6.

Fun vid and all, but why have a playlist of the evolution of Sigma boss battles, only to use weapons that take Sigma out in a single hit? Sorta hard to see the *evolution* then x)
For some reason, for me at least, when I was a newer player, between the first 3 X games, X2 Sigma was the hardest for me to take down. Hell, I didn't even get past Serges til long after I beat X1 and X3 (was like 8 at the time), but now that I'm a lot better a it (I also grew up with it in the 90s btw so I've been playing MMX for almost 30 years now), X2 is byfar the easiest. I'll bet he had invincibility turned on in X2 b/c he couldn't handle the fight. He seems like a newer player to me.
Nvm I figured out it's easy mode. I never played easy mode so I had no idea how it worked. All 40 Medals here in X Collection 1, btw. Great games!!

Keep in mind: the X3 gameplay was with Rookie Hunter Mode on. Compare that to x1 and x2 Sigma in Hookie hunter mode in this video. Yeah, that's how absurd X3 is with its difficulty.

@@edugaert they are literally that doesn't matter and they have to be inafune literally changed mega man zero a bit to fit with X6 and X8 is apart of the timeline because neo Arcadia tower is the Jacob elevator and zero's body is becoming what it is in megaman zero. Also the fact that they went out of their way to say that command mission is another future they would tell use about the rest.
