The most that I can win or lose in the hand is NOT my stack size, it's the effective stack size. If there are 3 players and I have 4k, one guy has 1800 and one guy has 500, we're 1800 effective with guy one, and 500 effective with guy two!

I prefer for the winning regulars in any room to make it very difficult for interlopers to show up, set up camp in the room, and take the food out of their babies’ mouths. There’s nothing worse than a weak Quisling regs, who want to share hand histories and join chat groups with a bunch of German, Argentinian, or Brazilian itinerant pros. Good on anyone who is defending their room. If you don’t want Euros to come, make it unprofitable for them.

gary actually is fun and social. but euros coming over in packs (especially non Irish/Scottish/ British) sitting there for 12 hours a day,with headphones, saying nothing and playing almost no hands absolutely poison player pools.
