In this poker vlog I'm playing the 1/2 no limit cash game at MGM Grand. This was an awesome session with big hands, great action, and super awesome people at the table! Definitely one of my favorite vlogs so far.

It was a pleasure playing with you and the gang at MGM! It was great fun! Loved this video re-living it all again! Cant wait to see what you get up to over the coming months
Emily!! The pleasure was all mine! Thanks for the kind words, and I hope to see you next summer 🙂 Take care!
Hi Emily, Well, I did what I promised you in person I hope you liked it. Take care!
Emily, I had forgotten that on your great quad 6's hand, you victimized poor Will. Oh well, he got a great VLOG out of it! I just now posted the rest of the story, with your great reaction to your good fortune! Hope you enjoy it.
@@4betblinddid you have to say GD?
Never apologise for cathing the quads 😂
love your humility. lots of guessing in poker
Woof. Pocket 6's runner runner quads over pocket Aces. I think a play like that happening against most would have us crying on the commute home. Glad to see everyone took it cheerfully.
Aces really do always get cracked jesus
Oh my god. The worse-played flopped set ever with 88.
A bet on the flop charges the straight and flush draws and gets calls from A-high. The A-high then hits his A on turn and pays there. If he completes a flush (less-likely because he doesn't have AS in his hand), you're hoping for a paired board.
You're only hitting a set 1/8 the time and if you're not betting it, then when will you bet it for value? once every sixteenth of the time? The time to bet your hand is when you make it. Maybe if you're short-stack in a tournament you check against an agro behind to punish a bluff.
Imagine if he had flopped bottom set or two-pair You would have left so much money on the table.
how do u know which player is lightning? everyones face is blotted out.
Was the cutoff. Rob was directly on my right.
He was in seat 6 for most of the night (he was featured in the JTss hand)
Tony that was definitely Lightning, he was right next to me for most of the session, I was in seat 5.
This channel is like a mash-up of Brad Owen and Casually Explained. Love the humor and the poker content, you deserve way more subscribers, can't wait to see more.
appreciate it!
For anyone who didn't know: Casually Explained used to be really into online poker
Emily showed class when she turned over her cards after hitting the set.
Definitely! She was all class, a real delight to have at the table
Love the humor in your channel. The trust issues due to captain crunch mistakes is professional level comedy.
This is my new favorite poker blog, your humor makes this so much fun! Your reads and analysis and reflections on hands also help me in my own game. Keep up the great work!
ty!
That's-Why I Love Playing Poker With Nice People&My Best Friends!-IE: Poker Room Managers&Dealers&Poker Room Players-Also!-Raymond "Mike" Hong!&(I Always-Use A Card Protector!-Mike!)😎👍!!!!!!!!!
Poker strategy aside(Can debate that all day. Though some good reads), this guy is one f@cking riot. Should be getting a lot more hits. More laughs than Phil Hellmuth getting knocked out on a bad beat on the river... Best poker humor out there.
thanks man, glad you enjoyed it
Stumbled across this vlog and it made me laugh. Subscribed.
Regarding the 88 set hand, I would just bet 1/2 to 2/3 pot and try to get money in. Low stakes live players generally aren’t going to find the bluffs needed, but they’ll find plenty of worse calls, so I wouldn’t slow play here. Good luck and I’ll be watching
Thanks for the kind words!
Agreed, at these stakes it's almost universally correct to pile money in with your good hands at every opportunity.
7:44 just bet flop. Trapping shitty players is just a dream. 🎉🎉
Sir!!! The America Vs British clip was Funny AF 😂😂😂😂😂
That was the best/funniest poker video I’ve ever watched!
I love your humor and style, I think it lends itself well to a wider audience. However, I find myself getting lost in a lot of the technical jargon and strategy as a college dorm poker player.
To this end, I think a series of videos introducing/teaching concepts with a lot of jokes would be really useful and popular. Maybe a set of videos that serves as an intro to poker (especially higher level play), and then a series of videos dedicated to specific strategies and concepts?
Just a thought but I could see you becoming a hub for accessible, funny poker videos for people who aren’t in the usual “scene.”
thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I'm slowly branching into coaching and strategy, a beginner style series of videos is definitely something i'll consider.
@4betblind
I agree with the other guy! Your editing and writing are leagues better than similar channels, but it's hard to follow as someone newly interested in the game.
If you don't want to do explainers, maybe consider just having pop-up cards that define the terms as you're saying them for the first time in each video.
I really think you could do great with non-poker people through humor and good editing, especially if you make reels/tiktoks of your best hands without getting lost in jargon.
I appreciate the feedback! Were there any specific moments or terms that stuck out to you as needing explanation?@@ACStuart
Hard disagree - please don't dumb down the content!
@@wobwobrob I'm not suggesting that he removes the advanced terminology or inside jokes, just that he makes the content more accessible by defining basic terms and ideas-even just in pop-ups!
I don't think that's dumbing it down at all.
So true about the social aspect of poker. I'm a winning player at low stakes (never had a losing year since I started keeping track in 2009) but I'll never be a pro. I simply enjoy the game and all of its levels and I truly enjoy the wide spectrum of people that play this game. Oh, and btw, I subscribed. Love your humor.
Hi you make poker game back to its original meaning: fun and social. You are the best poker channel among all other technical analysis channel with only goal: making money.
I love it when I'm way behind and turn a quad draw!
feel like hit a jackpot 😂
I want the fuck you range chart on a T-shirt lol that made me laugh
I LOL’ed multiple times in this one. You have a new subscriber. Keep it up!
Holy fuck it's been a bit of a rough week but your commentary made me laugh way too hard 😂. I don't play poker anymore because I am an NFL punter, but love watching you. Please don't stop making videos
thanks for the kind words man! hope your week gets better
Bro got me ROFLMAO!! 🤣🤣🤣 did he say, "I sent this hand to my poker coach for a review"?!?! what people got coaches?? I have also seen things like, preflop charts. Isn't that just like, ingrained in your "spidy sense" like, we can all feel if our hand is heavy, we all know when we have the nuts. Coaches are for sheeple, sheeple should just get jobs. To be good, like Unger, you can't worry about money, or comes and goes. Like chips in a tournament, where the REAL professionals throw cards. Cash games? Sheeple
Maybe the real profit is the friends we made along the way
I would have bet atleast once on that pocket 88. I usually go for small cbets (like 1/3 of a pot), so thats what I would have done. I would have probably bet the turn as well, because the A is more likely in my opponents range. Idk if it is right or wrong though. 7 on river is not very good card for you, because it completes TJ straight and also some other straights that might have been in your opponents range, so I would just check and pray he wont lead, cuz that would likely indicate something strong.
Hi Will, thanks for uploading yet another comedy gold vlog!
Id bet 20 on the turn and call any small raise and pray for the 2 of spades my delusional self thinks coming . On the river when the 7 of clubs came id check and probably be bluffed of the winning hand.
The 88 hand, check or bet on the flop is fine. Should be betting the turn big most of the time though, 75%. Your opponent will have lots of Ax
how do you have such good hands dealt every time, are you just showing the best ones? what about the regular 5 and 7 type hands, you should make a video showing how you play bad/average hands.
7:23 why would you check right before the showdown? It was clear his hand was worse since he checked twice already when the pot small so you might as well have raised it at that point. I just learned the rules of poker a few days ago so am i wrong?
OK, so what’s the mistake in the manufacturing process for Cap’n Crunch?
If you know you have somebody beat and the pot is small why wouldn’t you bet? Even just big blind makes it more worthwhile
I suck but you defs played that hand when you flopped a set wrong. Chance of a flush is low and hitting trips is hard after he checks twice u gotta try to get some value
how did you re jam after the action goes:
you raise
emily jams
cold call from the other villian
and you rejam
i thought the betting didnt oğen after emily jammed?
7:40, you might as well at least C bet the turn. He probably would have folded, and as you see, he was scared off by the Ace anyway, and a bit scared of you too.
Funny I recently wrecked a LAG that was drunk with AJ of spades for $4,000
You still called em jiggities. Brad Owen is a god!!!
I was dying with the oops all berries I have bought four boxes and they have still not fixed the issue that joke hits! 😂
7:42 Against the I'm sick of your s*** range, I actually have reasonable equity 🤣
These edit texts to your coach are hilarious🎉😂
Trump NFT, that was hilarious. Who would do that 😂! Also, the England food thing 😅
You caught better cards in one session than I did on a 6 month run of weekly games. I stopped playing poker
7:00 you played very poorly. No see bets not even to check temp of flush. Three of a kind wins most of the times and crack pocket aces most times
I don’t like the checking set of 8s but hindsight is always 20/20
i made a few k of those trump nfts, they launched at 99usd and went as high as 800usd. just saying
You have a new subscriber in me. Well done, sir. Fantastic content!
Bet small on the flop and then check the turn and let him start bluffing at that point, or bet the turn and try your best to make it look bluffy as you can
Should have bet the river with the pocket 8’s. Didn’t want to show there unless getting a call.
I'm enjoying the content!
The algos were successful with the channel recommendation.
Bro i love the fact that i discovered your channel, great fucking videos every time
Your voice sounds much older than you look. Good narration 👍🏼
If you've called and won, can you ask to see their cards if they throw them in?
Although I already follow quite a few Poker Vloggers, I can’t resist adding you. You do a really nice job and you are a good player. By the way, I am local to you and play at Meadows on a regular basis.
thanks a lot! come say hi if you see me
@@4betblind will do
Yeah the 88 middle set hand was awful. Just make a small c-bet and hope to get raised.
Love the titanic shipwreck reference with the bang sound…
Also love the “I’m sick of your shit range “
Definitely using that..
Lastly, women with British accents are the nuts.
Agreed, there's something about women with accents...
I just recently discovered your channel and ive been watching every video since, great work!
I don't like that checked set or the check with the 3 spades and a connected board. But I reckon it depends what other hands you are betting the flop with. I am probably only check raising there if I have a hyper loose agressive player I am trying to deal with.
dude, ur nog getting 4 to one with that 41$ river call, ur getting more then 10 to 1 lol..
what a sick hand in the end! Poker is so much better when everyone is playing it cool
How do you film? Does the casino know?
A Trump NFT would have been a better investment.
Subbed. Just for the fact that you're clearly not a fan of Brad owen. Lol
7:00 flop check fine, turn check bad, river check worse.
at 3:05 wouldnt that be a chop if he had A high why did he muck?
14:34 He probably had ace king at the time. My guess.
Was a pleasure Will. I was Mat sat to your left. Hopefully see you next year!
It was great playing with you Mat! Hope you and Emily are well!
Hi Matt, my blog post is up and I hope I didn't come across as too negative about our great hand together. Hope you and Emily are well.
Against your JJ 200 big allin he probs had AK
Bro this dude is funny as hell. Best poker channel
omg this was so fucking funny, what a great vid
Can someone explain what he means at 4:25 “considering my opponent was in the Big Blind, there’s going to be a lot of flushes in his range.”
This sounds as if your position at the table has an effect on the suits you will be dealt, which doesn’t make sense (i’m assuming this isn’t what he means).
Because the big blind is forced to bet regardless, often times people will play with a wider variety of hands. Suited hands are favorable for "just in case" flushes, so something like 97 spades, which might normally be folded in another position, could still actually be in play for someone in the blinds.
7:37 had me bust out laughing 😂😂
Your opponent had AJ or a lower A when you had jacks
So when the fish thinks you are stabbing, he raises you. But when you have the second nuts you check on a dry board where he will probably think you are stabbing? That 88s hand was so bad, bro. Painful to see a set played that badly
Great news, if you like painfully bad hands, you're gonna love this channel
88s?! Wow, what a special hand! You must sure be a true poker expert since you know all about playing suited pocket pairs. No wonder you felt the need to act like a condescending pr*ck towards this channel's creator!
@@dingleberry4013Tbh suited pairs are pretty much the best hands in the game. Gotta play them every time.
Will never understand the need for the "cold" terminology. Whenever I cbet, villains against "cold" call my cbets.
Then you're thick 😂
There's no such thing as blockers.
7:13 I feel you played it conservative.
wish we had a poker place like that near me (uk)
Brad Owen catching strays for no reason lol
The setof 8s bet 20-25 dls on the flop, if he raises,to 80 you should tank and then raise to 140
I actually like the check on the flop. If the opponent has a flush draw, or TJ or JQ,A9 suited etc, 77 then they'll probably bet and you can check raise small or maybe lead out on the turn if it's not a spade.
7:00 this 88 hand is played horribly on the flop and especially the turn.
jfc you have a set as pf aggressor.
yep, not watching this channel anymore. yeck.
Just recently got into poker. And you’re my favorite player to watxh. I see big things for you. All your editing is going to pay off your vids are hilarious
He's a lot better than the plastic vloggers who somehow always win
5:37 Is that blood and guts...?? 😬
Clean up this site. You might think it’s cool, but the cussing is losing you views.
Grow up.
@9:05 well then you went and did it
Why r using wo much energy on jt
@9:04 - dignity remains, indeed. Props.
didn’t say jiggities but still used brad owen’s revenge range chart
good artists borrow, great artists steal
shock the uk smashes the us again
I am going to be brutally honest here, the whole concept of naming raises, 3 bet, 4 bet, etc sounds extremely dumb to me. Just say they raised. These labels are completely unnecessary
That’s just cause you don’t understand
@@schooloftheautarkicsun4625 really? Did you figure that out on your own? Genius
Another absolute banger! Keep em comin'!!
Love your videos. Also appreciate that you don’t clickbait/overhype your video titles like Brad Owen does. Every single video of his is a variation of “I win the BIGGEST POTS while playing the HIGHEST STAKES I’ve ever played at. MUST SEE”. or something to that effect,
MGM grand looks like a large room
Ive had many bad nights playing the loose-aggressive guy hard. Whenever I do I think about all of the coolers Id have dodged by playing my normal game. Such is the way of getting decent odds and accepting them.
Nice session. Stay lucky and stay strong.
What does your coach think about you playing at the $1/$2 tables….? Those games are miserable IMHO. It’s a lot harder than it sounds to beat suckers who are there to just have fun and “shove in”
Good content! Glad you won. Don’t dwell on the set of 8 hand, because it ran out badly. Just be glad they weren’t cracked. If you insist on not letting it go and tormenting yourself because of hindsight poker……….then yup, I’d have to say a better player would’ve made more money.
On the 88, I personally would have lead out for 1/2ish pot trying to buy the hand like I'm an Ace high/overpair. If he's as aggressive as you think, he might think he can bully you out and you're more likely to get a raise/continuation on the turn. Depending on my image the 1/2 might move a bit up or down. If they've seen me small cbet on iffy boards and take it down, I probably do the same thing here as I did before.
HOWEVER, I fully concede that based on your dialog in the videos I've seen that you're a better player than I am so ehh, I might be mistaken. I'm a fan of trying to build a pot early there. I think the flush draw has a decent chance of semi-bluff raising you on the flop and you can call or 3 bet. That turn card basically ends the hand though.
EDIT: The JT 4 to a straight board is a clear call unless one of those guys is a rock.
Love your sense of humor
Terribly played 8s hand, I'm sure your coach will tell you better than me...….but god damn brother........... I still love you
The set of eights hand is tricky. Being out of position makes it even harder. I guess you could argue that it is a sin to flop a set and then not build a big pot, but with your read and the way the board ran out, I think I'll accept your reasoning for your decisions. It's been many years since I played, so I'm more than a bit rusty, so maybe don't put too much stock into my opinion.
