@@didibryan yes it’s been 7 years since I was snowboarding in Japan and it’s changed a lot! I’m now searching out more old school resorts for a more Japanese experience. A few on the list! Hey I’m also based in SG, assume you are too?
We're actually based in Japan 😅 Maybe check out some of the Yuzawa or Myoko resorts? It's hard to say what's still traditionally Japanese anymore to be honest since there's just so many visitors coming to all the resorts and the resorts have adapted to be more welcoming to those tourists as well
Bryan! Didn’t know you are a UA-camr. Great UGC man!😂 Next time in Madarao you need to check out Arrowhead Tavern down on lake Nojiri. Owned by an LA native, they have the best smash burgers and California burritos in Japan.
Beautiful, and so much snow. How do the electronic gates work (at the start of each run)? It looks like you tap the side panel and the turnstile opens?
@@didibryan I last went to a ski resort maybe 10 years ago in the US, and they did not have electronic gates like that. Technology, or Japanese technology...
We stayed at Echoland Madarao - www.echoland.jp/en The rates change depending on the time of the season so suggest taking a look on their website for the costs when you would want to visit.
The powder looks insane! ❄ Tree runs + no lift lines = dream day! Adding Madarao to my bucket list!
Definitely worth checking out!
welcome back!
Good to be back!
Great work! I was there 13th to 20th of Jan too
Thank you! How did you find the resort?
@ I thought it was a great resort and some excellent runs. My only minor gripe was that I felt like I was in Australia instead of Japan 🤣
The Australian takeover! That's definitely the case not just at this resort 😂

Haha thanks! Who is this btw? 😅
Will definitely check it out next time we're in the area! Burritos sound amazing after a day of snowboarding.
Scott G !
@greeniris17 oh hey Scott! It's been a while! Hope you're doing well!
Nice video 😊 hope you are doing well 🙏💯 stay blessed
Thank you! We are doing great and hope you are too!

Yup! We have the lift pass in my jacket sleeve, which we can scan at the gate to open the turnstile.

Most resorts should have this technology now so not just Japanese technology
@@didibryan I rewatched your Arai skiing video from a year ago, and it did have electronic gates with wrist scan.
Hi, where did you stay and how much per night? Thanks
