Trying this boss tonight for the first time with my GIM team - we just pulled tbow today - thank you so much, you answered so many questions!
Update: took a few wipes but we now have 4 KC and end with multiple brews left, thank you again!

Good timing, I asked my clan about where to learn and what method they use and one person said all videos are the same.. the argument went for 30 minutes..

True, doesnt help that I get 2hrs of game time a day tho but still love the game too much to quit
camping protect melee when nex is aggrod on you p5 is the way. She focuses on melee attacks a lot more frequently than mage in p5.

Thanks for the video! Is voidwaker on stab a reasonable alternative to fang? Or would acb be better until fang?
It looks like Voidwaker on stab is better than the Arma Crossbow. Sometimes the Cbow could get you some MVPs if the bolt procs go crazy. But overall it looks like VW is a little better DPS

Is mass worlds worth doing? Or should i try to find 3-4 man teams?
Getting a drop in masses is really rare so its actually not very good money. The kills go by so fast that you won't actually learn any mechanics either. Masses are only good for specific CAs.
send a bit of mass to get the idea of the ecounter down. Or find a few buddies who have done nex and have them teach you.
Mass worlds are nearly a waste of time. Small teams are definitely the way to go.
@joefre9897 Makes a good point too. If you don't have any KC yet, you should send a few mass world kills to at least get the flow of the fight
Do i need a zcb with my tbow for ranged only teams? Are the blood moon tassets a good switch instead of bandos tassets because of their better magic defense trade off?

ZCB isn't needed with the Tbow, especially if you're using a Voidwaker for spec. And the Blood Moon Tassets do look like a solid option, though I haven't tried them out myself

@maddam50 has nailed it. Mass worlds are rough for profit. You'll eventually hit a drop in the mass worlds, but on average it'll take a lot longer. Plus I find the mass world is very boring, but when I do Nex with a couple friends instead, we can go for hours
Is it worth selling my fero gloves and prims that I use for toa occasionally, to get Arma crossbow for nex?
Prolly not. The Dragon Crossbow to Arma Crossbow is not a big leap, and you should use those gloves and boots with the Fang here at Nex as well
Do you have to get the 40 kc every time to do Nex?
Yes, but you can stack up on a bunch so you don't have to get the KC between each kill

@@Roel93 Generally yes. If you had a really good kill, and got a supply drop you could manage 2, but if I'm sending 3 mans I usually just have the team do 1 kill trips
In my gim group I got an acb at 38kc and within 12 hours dude in the group pulls torva plate body in a mass at 35kc insane

Here's a duo kill w/o max gear.
Though I'm not sure how you're gonna comment "with not max gear" on the beginner guide, that literally shows you the, not max gear, that you can use here
same rules for solo nex?
Pretty much (I do assume we're talking Leagues for Solos)
The "Die now in a prison of Ice" special attack is rough in Solos. You'll have to tank the Ice attack while protecting ranged, then quickly combo eat & switch your prayer back to protect from magic. Doing this while fighting Glacies can be a bit sketchy, but it's not that bad once you do it a few times.

Is bowfa also good?
Bowfa is pretty solid. It's mostly nice that it also has the attack range of the Tbow, since you wanna stand far back during Shadow phase. Crystal Armour is a bit weaker Mage defense than Masori(f) and Karils, so you'll take a bit more damage during the fight overall, but we've had many players grinding Nex with the Bowfa with us.

dont be an ironman
then you dont do nex or do toa till you get fang ez
dont go to nex unprepared as an ironman, just camp toa until you get your full masori and youll have your fang for sure. It's more of an endgame boss too so i doubt youll go there without doing some ToA
It is worth waiting until you get a Fang
you could also do masses with budget range gear but much lower odds of drop
