Hi lads need your help if you can , been a huge petrol head all my life got fuel in my veins (literally as was a mechanic for many years lol) iv always dreamed of owning a v8 , tough one this but any recommendations in to getting in v8 ownership with a crap 1k budget

Rich's whole banter had me rolling
If you want to do a fast engine swap on a bmw... just unbolt the whole front suspension as a one piece (struts, brake line, 4 bolts for the front support bar, fuel lines, throttle cable and radiator pipes) with the engine and gearbox (all supported by jackstands) and then raise up the car... you had to disconnect the brakes anyway because you were changing calipers... :) this is much easier and cleaner approach - no need to even take out the radiator and no fiddling with the crane, then swap the engines on the floor (again no need to disconnect the gearbox from the engine) and lower the car again, bolt on the front support and struts... :)

LOL, having done this swap myself the challenges experienced were no surprise to me! One good thing about this is that most of this work sets you up very nicely for an M54 swap. And frankly the M52 doesn't hold a candle to the M54 in this chassis

Swaping E38 calipers check brake biass. As it after swapping brake biass goes to rear wheels

ive said it before and ill say it again, i love the e28, had a 520i back in the 80's loved it. Rory's looks like its a north east car by the reg. mucha as i love it, ill bet you will have electrical issues on the road trip.

Last year we did build a e30 3.25 v6 and did a whole respray new rear axel and a engine from a 2008 BMW 7.50i with rear damage total and did a full build in one year and 9 months bud i still drive it daily with a big Smile and rubber stripes behind me 😁
Tire street rating wet c/ fuel/c okay for hot weather but we don’t have much in the uk I was looking because I need some tires but they’ve only got 2 options . Would be better with more choice ✌️
