That is a metal 55gal barrel funnel. It’s 2” in width at the spout. I have a link in our Amazon store in the description. Let me know if you can’t find it.
The Boss buck feeder motor comes with adapter for boss buck feeders where did you get funnel for corn to come out and what's the name of it?Not the plastic funnel for barrel the funnel for Boss buck feeder motor?
That feeder I got at walmart for $148 plus the cost of a 12 volt rechargeable battery (got two so I would have a spare) and solar power charger and so far it has been fantastic and the battery stays charged good After setting it up and playing with it some I found medium speed for 8 seconds with three times is perfect to use about 50 pounds of corn over 7 days or so When I first set it up I had it on 10 seconds on high speed and about a 1/2 from the wheel settings and found corn that was thrown 40 feet away or an 80 foot diameter circle around the feeder using up 50 pounds in a few days LOL Once I got it set up right that thing is fantastic for bringing in the hogs deer and raccoons and will put food on the table for many years to come I think and last time out it had 200 pounds of corn in it I suspect will last over a month of feed times And someone talking about bears? They could not do a single thing to that steel feeder I got as it is heavy duty city
Ray Blackburn Ray, thank you so much for the info and testimony! These things do sling some corn and bring in the wildlife! Thank you for sharing! Keep in touch my friend.
Yes first time I turned it on it spayed me with corn like BBs from a BB gun and was lucky I had my sun glasses on LOL One neat thing about that feeder I got is the hogs have not torn it up yet and don't think they will either but in last video I did notice they eat the sand with the corn and all of a sudden I had to fill sand back in under the feeder runners or it looked like it could be undermined and tip over
If it's Bear-Proof in the sense of not being tipped or torn up by Bear of Hog's, that's great! I found out that hanging them when possible with a hand winch system worked the best, but some locations don't allow such an application unless you use poles! NEVER had issues by Bear or anything since!
@@mattwheaton7191 Now I am running 5 seconds only once a day unless I go hunting then I add two more 5 second times in for that night I love it when I get a video of the raccoons running when it goes off looking back like WTH? that thing just assaulted me with corn LOL
Doug Smith Hi Doug, Great question! I do not use a regulator between the battery and motor/timer because I feed only in morning and evening when solar panel is not producing high voltage. If you plan to feed in mid day sun I would use one. I've hit the "test" button many times at full sun and never had any problems but regulators are pretty cheap and might protect your setup if you are spinning in full sun everyday. Hope that helps!
Going to using feeders for the first time, and I'm gonna go with 12v per your suggestion. Was just wondering what type of solar panels ya use on your feeders. So glad I found your channel.
J M -I use 7watt solar panels made by Strongway. They are amorphous style and I get mine from Northern Tool (they carry them online too). They run about $40 bucks but worth every penny. The only fault is that they claim to have a diod installed but they do not...so you will need to install one to prevent reverse energy flow at night (which will drain your battery). FYI, I don't use a solar controller either and I've never had a problem...that will save you at least $30 for the lower line brands. Smart move going straight to 12 volt feeders...they work great. I hope this helps and shoot me an email if I can be of further help...thehandyhunter2017@gmail.com. Thanks for visiting our channel!
**Currently the 7W amorphous solar panels are almost unavailable anywhere. So I suggest a 10W amorphous solar panel instead. just join your site man you have great stuff I have watched all your videos but one really stood out with me the episode about 6v vs 12v the thing that really caught my eye was how long that solar cable was can you revisit that solar cable conduit and explain how you did it thank in advance
Hi John, check out my other video on setting up solar on deer feeders...that may help explain as well. The conduit is a 6 foot appliance whip from home depot. Slide your wires through and connect to your spinner with an elbow fitting that screws in very securely. Hope that helps!
Great! I get about 3 years out of the battery before they go bad. I don’t have to touch anything else! Everything else works perfect and I never have a jam…ever. Good luck!
So I have a 55 gallon drum and a smaller 30 gallon metal drum and 2 plastic 55s What would recommend? Do u have the funnels in all of them? Do u know if they have funnels for the smaller drums
Hi Jeff, thanks for commenting! I personally would go with the 55 gallon drum and add a galvanized funnel in the bottom. I always paint my funnels even though they are galvanized because they will rust over time. They do make 30 gallon funnels if you choose to go that route although they may only come in plastic. I only use metal so I can't say how the plastic holds up under weight over time. Good luck on the build and let us know what you decide on!
I was hoping this video would help. But it isn't real helpful. I would like to know what output voltage the solar has. And what the rating are on the motor. Honestly, you should be able to make any design work for you by knowing what output the solar really does and what the drain is in amps. $125 for a working setup, is not to bad in the long run. But what if you can make the same setup with the cheaper parts by getting the math right for 6 or 12. That would be something. Too bad I'm not an electrical engineer. Or have contact with one that could explain this so normal persons can comprehend it lol. Thanks for the video man, you are trying help. And that alone is worth a thank you.
Laby 70 sorry I couldn’t help you more. This was really a video about comparing 12 vs 6 volt not really solar. However, it’s a 12 volt 7 watt solar panel going into an EXP 1270 7ah 12 volt battery which powers a 12volt motor. Not sure if that’s the info you were looking for but hopefully it is helpful. Let me know if I can help you. Take care!
Generally not because the 12v motor is much bigger and therefore takes up most of the battery space. The 12v box is much bigger and has extra room. Hope that helps!

The funnel you see is part of the 55gal boss buck metal funnel that comes out the bottom of the feeder barrel. Other than that I’m not sure which funnel you are talking about. Let me know if that makes sense.
Edward Osborne I seriously doubt the holes would match but am confident that you could quickly modify it to fit. Keep in mind that the whole box for a 12 volt motor is much bigger than a 6 volt box so even if you do get the motor to fit you may not have room for the battery. Let me know if I can help. Edward Osborne when I ran on 6 volts I had jams and dead batteries constantly...even with solar panels on them. Well, first of all...welcome to the wonderful world of hunting! You are in for a great ride. My best advice is to buy power. I would highly recommend going 12volt all the way and never look back. You will save yourself time, money, and frustration in the long run. I ran 6 volts for a long time and had nothing but problems. Regardless, hope you find the best for your situation and if you choose the all in one that it works perfectly for you...let us know how it goes! Good luck with the hunting and let me know if I can help in any way.
The Handy Hunter I'm digging the all in one but after more reading it's only 4 triple AAA batteries and if you were having issues with 6 volts jamming ...... So do you have part numbers by chance? I may just do the sled build
Hi Jeff, I run three Boss Buck 12V boxes like the one in this link www.bossbuck.com/products/feeders/116.html There are probably some other good 12V boxes but I tend to stick with success when I find it. I haven't had one problem with these boxes and they come with a very easy digital timer and a giant motor. You will need to buy a battery and you can get one from Bossbuck or from Ebay (where I found them cheaper), etc. Bossbuck also carries a lot of other stuff that you may need like metal lids, funnels, parts, etc. I don't know anyone from Bossbuck but I would like to meet them someday because they've helped me solved some deer feeder problems over the last couple years! Hope that helps...keep the updates coming!

Fuse at the battery?? Lets properly protect that equipment! If the battery is in a box use a couple female insulted spade connectors. At the positive battery post cut the wire and crimp on the two female insulted spade connectors then slide them onto each leg of the properly sized ATO fuse. If not in a battery box wrap them with some GOOD electricians tape or use a weatherproof fuse holder! Easy Peazy! Good Safety Glasses are a must these days!
