    Great video. I wish you had turned the camera towards the mill though. It was a long way to go without seeing the mill. Nevertheless, I will be there on your exact date Oct 7th, 2022 on a jeep tour. I'll see it then. Thanks for sharing!

    Is this the northern loop or southern. Spicy or extra spicy?

    Anthony! You are freaking awesome for posting this, we are going to take this path tomorrow with my TRD Pro 4runner and I have been so nervous, your video brought me peace and made me so excited for the colors. Thank you for being so generous and posting this for all!!

      Meggy W This makes me so happy to hear. This is exactly why I made this. I’m so glad I could be of help. Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you have a great time! I hear the foliage is perfect right now. We also stayed at an amazing bed and breakfast, The Inn at Raspberry Ridge in Marble. The owner makes fresh cinnamon rolls every morning and are amazing!

    I took that drive last weekend. Boy what an exciting steering wheel gripping, white knuckle drive that was in certain places. Lol. It was a gorgeous landscape. The reward was photographing the Crystal Mill.

    Really crazy roads, but WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VIEW!!! The Aspen are lending such wonderful accents to the mountain range! I got a bit nostalgic about living in Colorado during this ride! Thank you so much for sharing! Great views!! Hope you are doing well!!

    Hi! Thank you so much for showing what this drive looks like! Such good info to have when planning a trip. My biggest concern is that some places look almost impossible to navigate when a car is coming your way. Is it easier than it seems? Not sure how to get out of that type of jam.

    • @AnthonyQuintano
      @AnthonyQuintano  3 роки тому

      So glad I can help! It's definitely not an easy drive. There are very narrow sections where you're praying another car or truck doesn't come from the other direction. We found our selves rushing through those sections. If it gets to scary, you will have to get out and negotiate with the other driver to determine who has it easier to back up. You definitely don't want to do this drive in a car or anything low to the ground as there are large boulders in some sections that you can and will get hung up on. Some people risk it but I don't recommend.

      @@AnthonyQuintano thanks so much for the info! We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee so I think I’d feel comfortable driving in that. Still seems risky tho! I can’t seem to find an answer, maybe you know, is it a loop that you can take to leave or do you have to turn back around and leave the way you came?

    • @AnthonyQuintano

      @@soupspoon2188 It used to be a loop but it is now indefinitely a round trip on the same road. You should definitely be fine in the jeep but be warned that you will get tree branches scraping the sides of your vehicle in some sections causing lots of paint scratches. We rented our vehicle so we didn't have to worry about that. We just didn't inform the rental company that we were going to be off roading. We had no issues returning the vehicle.

      We started around 9am. We stayed overnight in Marble so we could start the trek early. Good luck out there and enjoy!

    Beautiful! I been wanting to make the trip to drive this trail, do you think a 2015 Jeep Compass would do well on this trail if not, is there any trails that you’d recommend? Thanks in advance

    • @AnthonyQuintano
      @AnthonyQuintano  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you, Turo. I do think that Jeep would do fine but I do warn that you may get a few scratches on that paint from tree branches. If you're not concerned you could always walk the trail as well or rent a vehicle.

    Hello Anthony! Thanks for doing this! It's great! I see you posted this 9/29, however, do you recall if this is right around the month/day you actually went? I plan on going this this year, and at the time of year you went, the colors are perfect! Trying to plan it accordingly! thanks!

      Thank you for checking out my video. This was October 7, 2019 but keep in mind, fall colors come at different times every year so just watch the fall foliage forecasts closely and you can get it just right. Good luck!

    Where did you rent your dodge? We have a Nissan mid size pickup...think it would be ok?

    • @AnthonyQuintano
      @AnthonyQuintano  4 роки тому +1

      Denise Estreich We rented it from an Enterprise rental near Denver. That sounds even better as long as there is elevation from the ground than a standard car. You should be fine with that.

    Great work, tough drive, we go thousands of miles every year and this is the kind of roads we have to avoid do to our rig type (Vanabode). Nevertheless your vid shows wonderful possibilities for deep forest travel.
