Can we appreciate that this man literally built an entire Mauser C-96 from scratch and then build Solo's DL-44 onto that.
when this man walks in home depot the employees probably get goosebumps
Underrated comment
"I plan to make the main body from foam, because I like foam."
Good reason...
@William Graulau will you ever try making your own star wars blaster as kid out if catdnord or foam
Nice job Odin. Made a bowcaster for my daughter last year, now the other daughter wants Hans blaster. Appreciate all your details.
your children have good taste in star wars blasters.
The DL-44 is a classic pistol so it makes sense
i love your work odin! i discovered you on cosplay prop shop & i am obsessed with your videos. you are hardworking & deserve all the praise. keep up the good work!
YAY!!! I am totally going to attempt to make this and fail, but it's gonna be fun!
isaiah hatcher Making props and costumes is like life. You're gonna make mistakes, but you learn from them
John 117 That's true. Sometimes I make mistakes that I end up keeping because they make the design either more realistic or I just weather it a ton.
If you have fun, is it truly a fail? there's a toy Mauser c96 on Amazon for like $14, and it's the right size. Just start with that instead!
Odin Makes I didn't think about using a mauser! Didn't they use something like that for the real prop? I know for Luke's lightsaber it was a graflex and Obi Wan had a bunch if grenade parts.
The real blaster was a heavily modified Mauser c96 indeed.
It is amazing how someone with a none block buster movie budget can make a movie level quality prop. It goes to show you, "You don't always need a big budget to make a movie level prop or effects." Sometimes you just need to have the right people, not half-assing at their job, and know what they are doing, or at least does critical thinking what material could result with something at a professional level movie prop and how to put it together.
You are a wizard with foam and plastic!
Odin's tutorials are my favorite! THANK YOU!
Looks great!
Brilliant
Odin, I've seen a lot of videos about making Han Solo's Blaster. But this one is by far the best one!
You are great!
I can't wait for the other star wars builds !! Looks amazing as usual :)
You're an artist Odin! I admire you.
Love it
By far one of the coolest blaster builds I have ever seen. You sir are wizard.
This guy is a wizard!
You are the best. You inspired me to do this as a hobby. Thank you very much.
I have a Master Replicas DL-44 and without seeing this in person that looks a piece I would have no problem displaying also. Great job on that build!
Amazing
Awesome job.
awesome
im making a han solo cosplay for school and i planned on just making the scope and barrel to attach to a mauser toy. this really helped
Turned out awesome 👍
This turned out better than I thought. That looks really good!
Best make yet.
Wow, badass job on this one!
Cool! Very well done!
outstanding
Did you shoot it first?
i think he did. han didnt shoot first. Odin Makes did
And the hacksmith made a working one
Yes he did
Great video, super well done with easy to understand information.
After watching a bunch of Odins videos, I found out what he likes: plastic, super glue, and foam.
Absoloutley amazing Odin. Useful info, and making a Han Blaster, whilst wearing that amazing shirt.
Awesome build, Odin!
That's a very nice example of how dry brushing metallic paint over black can do wonders.
Looking up for those other builds!
Cool, waiting for the next
great stuff as always
That is amazing Harrison Ford would be proud
this is amazing
beautifull
Love your videos, there´s something about the way you do things that separet you from the resto prop channels. You look like a simple man that loves what he does.
The only part of prop shop I enjoyed was doing keep up the good work
Great job Odin!
YESSS!!! FINALLY!!!!!!
Awesome dude!
So cool~!!
Damn! It looks amazing! Well done Odin!
Wow, man... that turned out freakin fantastic!
I do like the way you make your props. This video was very informative and detail oriented. Thumbed this up.
This is incredible!
That’s very cool look great😀
Cool! I made a Star Trek ToS phaser almost exactly with this method except I used some foamcore to fill it out.
You just blew my mind
Hey Odin!! Thanks for the videos!! This was really cool!! This is really inspiring!
Thanks for making Han Solos blaster
One could say that Odin is... godlike at making props.
Very cool... nice work 🤓👍
Thank you for your videos, Odin. You've really inspired me to start making my own props :D
I like the bloopers at the end of your videos worth waiting for ha, loving the channel Odin!
Very impressed with the work on the "broom handle" :-O
Great job!
Definitely my new favorite channel.
I love your level of creativity! That was very fun to watch 😆
this is easily the most impressive build yet Odin !
Your weathering is so on point. Amazing job sir :D
If anyone is wondering ( if you somehow didn't know) the base gun is a mouser c96 and also @odinmakes this prop is awesome and the way you designed it would allow easy modifications to make any of the 15ish different blasters that are supposed to be the dl44
Such as the hero blaster ( what you made)
The cantina gun
Or the blasters from empire and jedi
i realy love this, congrats💖
I made the exact same on! thanks so much for the tutorial my freinds gonna be so jealous!
Nice
veeeeery nice
Ahh this build is cool.
Please make Rick Deckard's pistol from the film Blade runner :)
Josh Bate aha, That Gun.......
kill me if you don't get the reference.
That's the one prop gun I've always wanted to own
Anton Richter FO bro!
Josh Bate Z A
Tobbsnobb Fallout New Vegas! Bam!
Great build Odin! I've been waiting for someone to do this build on Prop Shop to for a long time.
Awesome and subscribed!
Thats a bloody good Mauser/Han solos blaster.
Dude this is spectacular!!!
Grande Artigiano !
I love you ODIN!!!!
Hugs to Dsquid!!!
cool video Odin used a trick from your video to fix my dad's van the piece was missing on the side coming off so I took a little super glue and I'm going around the sides and put it on there left it on there overnight and it fixed it so thanks for your videos
Great build man! I love your channel, as an... let's say aspiring, cosplayer, I feel like I learn a lot from your videos!
HE'S THE MAN!
Just make something you will like to craft, thanks for the video
By far the best prop built here and on DIY propshop, including the other makers lol
This is a really good channel. Please do more.
Love your style of filming and editing btw!
Wow!!! Eso se ve impresionante!
Buen trabajo! 💪😎
I gave this video a thumbs up the instant I heard, "when Han shot first." ;)
'kin awesome. Amazing build.
Subbed :) looking forward to the next build.
Cool vid
Gorgeous work yet again, Odin! I think it would be fun to see you make a twin set of Tracer's guns also. Something futuristic next to Han's older looking gun.
Congrats, you pulled a very convincing scratch build. Nice weathering too. The only part i would to repaint is the silver nozzle that doesnt look as good. Instead of silver paint, i'd try to use Rub n' Buff over a dark basecoat and somd acrylic inks for weathering afterward.
Ha, I'm glad you still include the methods you aren't happy with. I think it's important for prop makers to be honest sometimes and be like 'I did it this way, but I was an idiot and shouldn't have'.
Nice video
damn, that was good!
Just a quick fact, the Han Solo blaster is called: DL44.
It was heavily modified, just like the falcon😊
great video Odin!
Good trigger discipline . Kool outro, Clever catchphrase.
OMG your awesome! first vid of yours ive seen and i just dont understand how you dont have atleast a million subs by now your awesome at this your very professional and you go into fantastic detail of your work!!
Really is an artista!!
I applaud the something from nothing approach but a painted and weathered toy looks better in the end I think, and you could get a cast resin model for the cost of these supplies I believe.
Nice one! Here's a hint: you can use plastic from a CD for scope lenses. It gives a great anti-glare effect and looks like a real deal. Using exacto/utility-knife split a CD in half and cut out lenses out of the transparent bottom layer (the one that protects the metal layer in the middle).
Really? That sounds like an awesome idea! Thank you.
Odin. You have so much talent!! (this is an emoji of me gasping)
You have awesome skills brother! I sucribed to your channel and definitely gave your video a thumbs up. I can't wait to see what you make next!
