I noticed on June 29th this Saturday it will be R211's 1 Year Anniversary of Official Service that's when 4070 sets entered service is the second set (in 2023) (The production set with cove screens), I remember it 4060 set was delivered on June 29, 2021 (3 years ago)
Just curious about the r46 count at this point. Are we starting to see a significant decrease in their usage out of Pitkin yet? & I should know the answer but have the r179s been equipped with CBTC? Thanks!
Yeah I have noticed much less R46s and more R179s and R211s on the A. And no, the R179 does not have CBTC and there are no plans for them to have CBTC support until it's necessary as far as I know
@@fantherailsbc The R179 trains are being retrofitted with Siemens CBTC according to the 4/25/22 MTA Capital Program Committee meeting. The R211 have CBTC from Thales (now Hitachi after recently being acquired) from the start.

Nearly 1 year after the R211s officially entered service, I noticed that 3 days ago marked 14 years since the discontinuation of the V, original brown M train, W train, and some bus routes few days later. The W train then returned 6 years later Also just 2 days before the R211s officially entered passenger service, I spent 3 whole hours at jay street metrotech station for the R211 to film a second video but never arrived so I gave up. Good to see we now have 20 R211 sets after a whole year and 2 R211Ts
20 R211 trains overall, 18 of which are R211As... I suppose we don't have much of an update for the R211S as of late, no word on its preparations for testing for now...
And I think the next consists to enter service will be 4270-4279 and 4280-4289. 4230-4239 is currently at Jamaica undergoing CBTC testing just like 4150-4159 was a little while ago.

Counting both R211A and R211T, we're now at 220 cars in service!
I know
@@DouglasWells-el5dv There's still several cars left that haven't entered service.
There may be 200+cars in service, but thr reliability of thr cars are poor.

I believe there are 8 R46 Remaining on the A Line.

Almost 50% of the base order for the A line
A few sets from the base order are going to be on the c train
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 sounds right, because they're pre-CBTC as well
Whats the last set going to be?

Will there be more R211T, other than those two in the C, in the future?
The count when down to either 15 to 16 sets of R46 on the A line.
