I grew up mostly in a middle class household. All I did was finish high school, go to university, graduate, worked for 25 years, paid off my home, and now I am retired at 48. Never had social contacts with upper class people or anything.

I have zero clue how I came across this video but thank you hyojin. Thank you for being able to tell us your story that many (if not all) of us can relate to. Being lonely will pay off as long as you have a good head on your shoulders (which you do). I'm in the same boat and only time will give us our answers and reveal the fruit of our labor. Anyways, KEEP GOING STRONG HYOJIN! I'll be watching your story alongside many others now. SUBSCRIBED

Not necessarily. Of course this is different to everyone but the concept of loneliness = success is a western ideology. Success is what we make of it and is completely different to everyone. In the scope of finances it may appear that you need to be alone but how many rich people got rich based on connections or opportunities provided by historical and circumstantial context. I recommend a book called outliers that debriefs this notion of success and how miscounstrued it is especially in America. Again, of course you should weed out unnecessary people but human need connection regardless of that community is a very important of what makes anyone "rich".

I don't wanna make lots of money. I don't really care about money. I'm comfortable with making enough money to have a roof over my head and food to eat, and to be able to afford some entertainment like having a PS4. I don't understand why so many people are so obsessed with becoming rich and needing to impress other people. But then again I just got diagnosed with autism at age 37. So that's probably part of why I don't understand the people in society who are obsessed with climbing financially and socially. They just seem like sociopaths to me. No offense.

it's kinda opposite, the most succesfull people are also the most well connected. try to be more optimistic please and don't be lonely , choose your friends wisely, pick those who lift you up, not drag you down. also .....are you ok ?, girl you sound depressed
