Usually, people reject divergent viewpoints. However, I’ll do my best to be respectful and contribute. There is a significant focus here on spending money, and there’s a heavy emphasis on the “mentor's advice.” Let me present another perspective. While investing in education or mentorship can be valuable, it's not the only way to grow or improve, especially if financial resources are limited - which is the case for most people. Globally, only about 1% of people are millionaires, 12% are middle class, 34% are poor, and 53% are destitute. For someone who wants to improve but lacks money, there are lots of free or low-cost resources available, such as public libraries, free online courses, and educational videos. Many skills can be developed through consistent practice and experimentation without significant financial investment. While investing in personal growth can be valuable, there are also alternative paths to growth that don't rely on significant financial investment. A growth-oriented mindset and consistent effort are often more important. As for reliance on the mentor, while a mentor's guidance can be transformative, it's crucial to maintain critical thinking and avoid depending solely on one person’s advice. On the contrary, no one can truly grow without learning how to grow independently. Everyone’s path is unique, and what worked for a mentor may not work for everyone. And while a mentor can be helpful, it’s essential to remain vigilant and critically assess their motives. Unfortunately, there are cases where individuals prioritize their gain over genuinely helping others. It's worth ensuring that any investment you make is truly in your best interest and aligned with your goals and possibilities.

I've been redirecting my perspective so I can evaluate myself the most accurately as possible. Since I can't afford one rn, I've been trying to dissociate a bit to be my own "mentor". I rlly digged what you said, i think different needs in each lives do facilitate the whole self evaluation stuff. Do you have, by any chances, tips on how can i be more self aware of my level? i feel like my life choices and its consequences do require a bunch of problem solving lol

Hey I don't know you, I don't fully know your situation. Sometimes you're obsessed with someone because they're awesome, sometimes you're obsessed with someone because they're carefully manipulating you. But you're showing some signs here with how you talk about your mentor that make me think you might be in a cult, and I just want you to be aware of that. Spend a few minutes, look up the signs of a cult, maybe watch the ted talk "How to Spot a Cult". If it turns out that your relationship with this fellow doesn't show the warning signs, then that's great and I'm happy for you.
