Massive thanks for the shout out Jamie 🙌 Glenlivet is so good now with all the additional trails they have added over the past while. Another awesome video pal 😃🤟
Hi mate I’ve spoken with you before when I said I worked beside bike shop that built your bike. Well today I did glenlivet. Omg best track ever for me. Oh and the builders of it and tarland are going to be doing one beside my home town of Huntly. I can’t wait. Pump track already built.
Brilliant video. The more I see of this place the more I want to go. After a too long spell out of the MTB scene I've got a lot of your vids to catch up on. Just as exciting 🤟😎 kinda 😝
That was an incredible watch Top entertainment as usual. I think there are some nice 'steady' trails up there for an 'old' gimmer like me so I will give that a visit when I go to Aviemore for a week. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠
I started riding mtb last year and found myself on Scottish road trip with Glenlivet on my list. I did the long res trail and my mind was blown. I didnt get time to hit these but yku have just got me well excited to get back there next month and riiiide!
Love Glenlivet, you hit the nail on the head when you say its inclusive, nothing better than to be there when sun is out and it's got a Brilliant chilled vibe and a tidy wee cafe, bike wash plenty of parking and all the money for parking goes towards the trails.well done to the team there as they've been busy over winter building new trails and its paid off .
Thanks Stewart. I wish we had some jumps where I ride as it is something I'd really like to improve on. I was really pleased nonetheless. Cheers for taking the time to comment mate 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb I’m 59 and just started to do some drops but gap jumps and probably jumps in general may never be my thing and that’s ok because I’m still riding and enjoying it
Definitely. It's good to progress to new stuff, however it has to be balanced with enjoyment and risk. The problem with a big gap, or anything gnarly, is that you could take yourself out of the game for weeks and months. None of us want that!
Nice one James! It's a great place. Hopefully this vid spreads the word even more. I'll deffo be back. I can't wait to see how the place continues to develop 🤙
Nice to see my local(ish) make an appearance. Watching 12-14 year olds from Wolkpax club whipping over that gap like it’s nothing tells me the sport has such a future in Scotland.
@@streetpigeonmtb they really do, given the right opportunity. Also good to see an ‘old guy’ making the gap. It’s my own mountain to climb too. Rover gap at Fort bill done, but the height off that gap jump weirds me out a bit.
I visited Glenlivet when I was staying in Fort William the week before the August Bank Holiday. Only got to ride the red trail, due to arriving there later than expected (Highways lorry had toppled into a ditch, blocking the road into the estate, meaning a 40 minute detour). Really enjoyed the red trail, some fast flowing descents, although there was a little too much fire road climbing. Would definitely go back for another visit.
Nice. I've yet to complete the whole red, I'd heard mixed reviews of it. I'd really recommend the short session trails though. They are incredible fun!
Great video of Glenlivet. Congratulations on doing that gap jump man it looks a fair auld size on the GoPro so must be crazy in real life. Inver trials rider has a great channel too. I'm looking forward to getting back up there. Cheers 👊🍻
I needed that, been a rough few weeks for me, illness and bmx commitments have kept me off the bike. Need to get some pedalling in before I’m up your way in a few weeks.
Used to go to Glenlivet but thought the trails were a bit like 7stanes but fantastic to hear that there's some natural stuff going in - hopefully some more will be cut. Have to admit I dislike flow trails with a passion - we're back in Wellington NZ and all of the new trails being built are flow or what's being called "flow-tech" (BS IMO) to the detriment of natural trails. You hit the nail on head though with having a variety of trails - a blended approach for all abilities and tastes. If you haven't checked out some Rotorua videos you should - it's the ultimate "blended" biking location as there's so much choice from beginner/family trails to hardcore enduro rootfests. Good to shout out @Inver Trails Biker as he's got a real rich seem of riding videos there. Thanks for posting Jamie and great to put Glenlivet back on the map as I love it around that area.
Thanks Wayne. Really interesting to hear your perspective. It definitely sounds like you can have too much of one thing so variety has to be the way to go. I dearly hope the 7 Stanes get some development. I also hope that Forestry let the trail associations take the lead on the natural stuff. Here is hoping the holy grail of inclusive locations can happen. I fear the 7 stanes and Tweed Valley are going to get left behind at this rate. Cheers for the heads up on Rotura. Cheers again for taking time to watch and comment 👍
As usual a great vid that showcases another brilliant location. I rode there not long after it opened (around 2014) and the trails did not look like that!! Looks like a lot of good work has been put into the area to keep it fresh. Well done for the gap jump!!
Cheers Alan. It's a great wee place and undoubtedly it is somewhere that is seeing financial input that is allowing trail development. I'm hoping this is a blueprint for a lot more Scottish locations as many of the current centres are quite tired affairs. Cheers for the gap jump positivity! I was stoked with that. Hope you are good mate 🤙
Great video thanks Jamie, was super useful as I am planning a trip to Scotland and will be in that area so will now defo check out this trail centre :)
@@streetpigeonmtb it looked like you took it easy .Next time be easier I'm sure .looks a rad place.it would be good to see more tweed Valley trail investment as there's such a vast forrest to work with

Looks like you've got your mojo back mate!! 😁👍 well done for hitting the jump!! Great to hear and see your enthusiasm back and shining thro pure street pigeon style 🙌 I love it up there might need to see of the postal team fancy it this weekend.
Thanks buddy. Yeah, the mojo is well and truly back bud. I've stopped focusing on filming and just been getting out. This was the first time putting the camera on in a month! I was buzzing riding those trails. The blue is a wee inclusive work of art!

Mate, I've tried to keep quiet about my feeling towards the 7 Stanes, but the frustration has got too much. I think we all need to be kicking up a fuss before the South of Scotland falls behind. The health and economical benefits are too great to loose! Here's hoping they listen 🤞🤞🤞
Great Video Jamie. That drift-pack looks amazing. Kudos for hitting that jump as well. I know exactly how much nerve it takes to hit gaps for the first time. Hey mate. I think you can't find it because it's hiding in plain sight! The steepish exit that brings you out about 5-10m before the Ponduro start is The Bitch (Black Trail Centre trail). A lot of people forget the black crosses back over the red so you don't expect it to come out there.
Na. Just come out of Double X then head along the road. Don't take your first left to Lombard Street (red), but continue along the fire road for about 300m and you'll be there 👍
