Love the commentating! Serious bermage in Scotland 👍🏻😁 and some jumpage too ! 👍🏻😁 Brilliant. Always loved a wee Laggan trip. Can’t wait to get back. Cheers for the heads up. Great video 🚴 🏔
Wolftrax is and always will be ma favourite place to ride ma bike ..... i still remember the first time i rode the double black clean top to bottom .... and the scenery is just stunning .... i live in Luxembourg noo and it breaks my heart that i canny get fur a blast .... Thanks fur letting me see tho .... great job from the builders .... 👏🙏👍👊
Another fantastic production Jamie. Love the look of the new trails. The people who build these trails are the 'salt of the earth'. Great drone footage. Just wonderful. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠
Great vid again Jamie - looks like you're getting all the exclusives now - well deserved for ll the hard work you put in. Love Laggan already, so these just add a lot more!
New trails at Laggan look like they have a great mix of flow, rock gardens and a few jumps/drop offs really well made and well ridden by yourself, hopefully a sign of more new trails to come as well, thanks for sharing Jamie! 😁🤙
So looking forward to riding this at the end of the month. With the new trails, the old and epic black (Still the best in the UK by far) and the brown over the road, Laggan has it all! See you all soon! Thanks for a great vid Jamie :)
Really happy that all these new trails are happening and coming to fruition. I just hope that the powers that be keep them maintained and keep up the momentum of adding new flow/manufactured trails
@@streetpigeonmtb I didn't get to the Glentress new trails or Tarland in the summer. Hopefully next year! I like the look of the smooth plus rock at Laggan! 😁
Laggan was the first trail centre I rode at back in my teens, glad to see it getting some much needed updates as it hasn't changed much since. The rock mixed in with more trail centre stuff is a really nice balance (and classic Laggan), hope to ride there soon!
Wow, they are looking like serious fun! Was hoping to get to Laggan last weekend but the heavy rain changed the plans. We were looking forward to getting out of shape on the older trails. Great vid as usual Sir! Scotland is to the place to be as a mountain biker for sure. Zero investment going into English trail centres despite the increase in the sports popularity.
what a great addition to Laggan! It needed some new trails / revamping and this looks really good! I wonder if my 100mm xc bike would be fun there or underbiked? 🤔
I actually think the XC bike would be a blast! None of those rocky sections would be too much. And you would be able to hoon round the climbs and fly down the trails!
Awesome! I'm now split between visiting new Glentress or Laggan Wolftrax tomorrow! 🤔🤔 descisions, descisions..... (Edit: well, I guess I'm waiting till Wed 18th for the new Laggan Trails - Glentress on Monday 16th instead 🙂)
Amazing stuff man! I live in Kingussie and I`ve never been... Not the newest downhiller, but not the most experienced! Wondering if you or anyone else would reccommend the full face helmet for this kind of downhill stuff? Does it come down to preference (and experience I guess in a way)?
Absolute preference buddy. I do most of my rides in a lightweight full face. It's definitely a bit warmer but I've gotten used to it. Just ride with whatever you feel most comfortable in 👍
Think the black run used to have signage advising full suss, body armour and full face (that was in 2004 the one time I pushed my GT avalanche around the black lol)...Reds etc don't need it, but it depends how you ride I suppose!!
Looks good. A bit like Tarland2. I’d like to see more Whistler style building in Scotland. Not that I’ll ride it but to develop the gifted riders in Scotland.
And this is a good way of putting it. Not "oh, it's shit, cos there's no pro line". Seen comments like this. Will be difficult in Scotland though, as it costs real money to build trails like that, and it's not allowed to charge for access to land, ie riding the trail. Uplift is not really an answer any more with ebikes, unless it's a huge trail centre, and you make your money of off the few non ebike riders.
Surely it costs real money wherever you build them. Uplift has its costs. Wages, vehicle maintenance, heavy traffic on the trails etc. I’m thinking somewhere like Glenshee where they have ski lifts. That have gravity and zero hill custom for 50 weeks a year
Yeah. The big issue is the land access laws in Scotland. Whilst they allow us to ride in so many places they also make it pointless for people to build Whistler style bikeparks because it would be almost impossible to charge folks for them. You could of course charge them for the lifts and the facilities but you can't charge people who can get onto the trails by their own steam, unless you got a SOAC exemption which would be very difficult to get.
Ah man, don't put a downer on it! They'll bed in well and help bring fun and joy to loads of others....there are still plenty of the more natural variety for you out there.
There are literally thousands of those kinds of trails all over the woods of Scotland. If that's what you want, go and ride them, happy days for you.Nae need to shit on trails you don't like.
Hey mate. I'd understand your view if we were short on natural trails, but probably 95% of riding in Scotland is natural. Personally I welcome these sorts of trails it actually increases the opportunities to ride, not to mention offering family and beginner fun 👍
I am all for natural trails, but this is the only way to make them sustainable. As everyone said above, Scotland isn’t short of natural trails, which sometimes, unfortunately see little to no maintenance and erode beyond repair.
hooray a new trail thats the same as every other new flow trail in every other trail centre... what ever happened to making a new trail that fit the flavour of the area its in... its getting boring just having flow trails everywhere! switch it up please.
What are you talking about? You realise this is Scotland right? About 98% of our total trails are natural, with about 2% flow. Flow and jumps is the one thing missing from Scottish mountian biking. Finally we are getting a riding provision that is varied. Thanks for your comment but it doesn't make any sense given the context of Scottish mountain biking.
Love the commentating! Serious bermage in Scotland 👍🏻😁 and some jumpage too ! 👍🏻😁 Brilliant. Always loved a wee Lagan trip. Can’t wait to get back. Cheers for the heads up. Great video 🚴 🏔
I was surveying on a neighbouring estate the other day and clocked the new sections. Looked pretty good from my perspective.
Yeah, it looks pretty decent IMO 👍
GoPro made that black section look like nothing! Thanks for turning around and taking another look as this gave a much better idea! Great vid 👍🤙
Ha ha. That we black section is bizarrely intimidating! You have to see it to really get a feel for it. Cheers buddy 👍

Great video thanks and cheers for letting us know they're open asmight have missed them in a trip north this week otherwise.
Nice. Hope you make it buddy!
I like the fact you went back to finish the black. Another great vid!
Cheers mate. Yeah, wanted to tick that wee section off!
Might pop along on Wednesday or Thursday as I'm just in Kincraig...!!
Nice!
I was up there today...loving the new trails!

Looks great. More new trails to try out! We have been seriously spoiled this year with new trails 😊
We have indeed!
Hell yeah, I'm heading that way next week looks like I'm stopping at Laggan on the way up!
Whoop whoop! Enjoy 👌

Trails look awesome, love the slabs! Great video 👍
Cheers Shay. Love the progression in building at the moment. Cheers for all the work you are doing buddy.
Thanks Jamie!! Actually reassuring that you stopped at the black, had a few looks at it and then did it!! Allowed us to see what it was all about!😁

i wish this was closer to where i live! going to comrie croft tommorow though
Ah nice. Not ridden at Comrie for years. Enjoy 👌
This will put laggan as a serious contender for one of the best trail centres in Scotland!
Deffo!
Scotland well on the map for mountain biking now 💪🏻💪🏻
Certainly is 👌
I was there today, bottled the black drop, met Mctrail rider and the sun was shining, all in good day
Nice. That black plays with the mind, doesn't it?!
I stopped dead at the top and that was it 😂,brain said no,the whole place is just so much better now with the new trails
@johndrennan5105 yeah, it really is. I'm glad my brain wasn't the only one freaking out on that black line! It's full on for sure 🙈

We're getting spoilt for choice with these new trails eh? 😍
We sure are!
I reckon a trail bike is overkill, a 120 full sus xc bike would be fine. Besides that's the only MTB bike that I have. 😁
I wouldn't say it was overkill as it still felt fun and nimble. But for sure, 120 xc bike would be great fun 👌
Nice 😂!
And every single one of them is miles away :(
Ah no! Where you based?
@@streetpigeonmtb Livingston. It is a terrible place. Do not go there.
@iggy2k 🙈
These overmade smooth trails make me sad. This seems the new direction, far far away from natural and real mountain biking, in my opinion.

Absolute ballache getting to the top, you will spend more time going up than down and it’s all over very quickly 👎🏻
