Hello everyone, I really really appreciate your comments all the comments. My dad made this song and released about a year after I was born. My dad used to take me to a small studio and I remember we enjoyed playing gamelan together though I was just a toddler. He sometimes went Bali and get some inspiration to make this song and an album with his friends. Unfortunately he stopped making music because of sudden deafness of his right ear, but his passion for music seems remained. I told him all the comments then he was smiling and joked “that’s what I expected” with tear-filled eyes. He described about the name of the song, “it’s about a sanctuary, where you can cry, feel relieved and safe”. I love you guys and thank you for your love for my dad’s song. p.s. He said he doesn’t care about uploading and just looks happy that this song is listened by so many amazing ppl. But I’d like to recommend you guys listen this on Apple Music or iTunes and hope that will encourage him coming back to musician career one day. I always appreciate comments and make sure it will make him happy.

I am pessimistic about the direction of the world and very bitter about how things like the internet are turning out... but seeing this comment moved me and made me feel an echo of the hope I once had of technology truly connecting us globally as people and societies. Your father is a wonderful composer - please let him know that many of us would celebrate if Yasufumi Yamashita returned to music. Both Jalan Jalan albums are legendary. Thank you for this comment. I played the zen music channel one night on my tv to fall asleep to and I had a dream about my grandmother who passed away....It felt so real that I woke up and this was the song playing..I love this song
first time I heard this song was like 10 years ago on Dish. coming through the stereo and would crash out to whatever channel played. Woke me from a dead sleep from upstairs. Went downstairs had to know what it was, bought the album Bali the next day, Later saw the Dragon Hunters Movie. LOTUS!!! AWESOME SONG!! My dad downloaded lots of jalan jalan songs like 7 years ago. This song was in the list too and I can still remember how I listened to these songs when I was a kiddo.
This music is just divine.... it gave me the right reason to be happy from inside and be full of soul. love this track. . it has captured a lot of happy memories of my life and this song would remain the best for all my life. thankyou for such a wonderful track

The day after I had to put my cat Kayla down, I heard this song on soundscapes,back in 2003.now when I hear this it always brings a tear to my eye. Rest in peace Kayla DaDa will see you soon

For anyone who enjoys descovering new music I would like to invite you to listen online to a public non commercial radio from Utah called KRCL. I love this station especially during the weekends and Sunday nights they play music like this. I just heard this artist the for the first time just now.
I need your help community. Times are very difficult for my family right now. I am fighting every day to be a part of my sons life, yet I cant even take care of myself. My wife, the most amazing creature in this world, she tries so hard, and her soul is so pure, a true child of light, yet she's rewarded with constant misfortune. We haven't been able to make rent this month, I got laid off, and she has been refused payment from employers for work done. Now we are having to call lawyers of which we cannot afford for money that is already bespoke. I know deep inside that this is only a test, to prove our resilience to the divine. But it hurts. A lot.
