  • Sigh. It's annoying, but I have at least replaced motherboards in far worse machines. These computers are very easy to work on if you need to perform basic maintenance, but replacing the motherboard is an exercise in screwdriver-twirling and knuckle fatigue. I'll show you how to do it anyway, because someone paid me money to do it.

I have the same laptop But I want to replace my MB, The MB Part Number needs to be exactly the same as my original? Or could I upgrade to a same MB But diferente part number (because I've seen the same motherboard (same socket and everything) But with better graphics chip "Radeon" ... Is it possible?

i have the same model and i keot the original motherboard and upgraded to a 1tb ssd, blu ray dvd rom drive, windows 11 pro, and i am going to upgrade the original wifi card to the wlan wifi 6 card because the wlan wifi 6e cards have the black connector on the opposite side and the black antenna wire is a bit too short to reach and i don't want to mess with the wire and destroy my pc! i don't want to take the whole thing apart to replace the wires with longer ones or strip the wire and make it longer or everything would crash my pc!!😢

Hello can the cpu on this laptop reach max frequency? Like something beyond 3ghz ? Also where did you get your replacement board ,? I need one too and looking for a legit place to buy from don’t wanna get a dead board from a random online seller 😂

Hello. I replaced the motherboard according to your video, but after I charge the laptop, the lights turn on without me pressing the power button. After I press the button, the laptop does not turn on and I do not see the Dell logo, and only the lights next to the button turn off and on for a moment and make a sound. I wanted to know what should I do? I just bought the motherboard and it is completely healthy.

Remove the battery and AC power. Only plug in the AC power. See what happens. Try with a different AC adapter if it still doesn't work. Try re-seating the RAM just to be sure it's making good contact. If the lights are on but the screen is not showing anything, you can press the Caps Lock key and get the light to toggle then the core computer is functioning properly (the LED is controlled by code in the BIOS that the CPU has to run so it indicates the CPU and RAM and such are actually working).
It is possible that the board you got is not actually working despite being sold as working so don't assume that "I just bought it" means it's actually OK.
