The truth is that texture packs actually don't boost but sometimes increase lag depending on the file size

It does I tried the barebones texture pack and have compared it many times and yes it increases the fps because it has less pixels and less color gradient
Edit : less pixel and color gradient meaning Easier rendering

None of these will boost fps.. even bare bones is 16x so no matter what, it wont give more fps..
And the lego one.. or others with heavy scripts, higher resolutions, etc will decrease performance.

None of the packs increase fps, in fact, some even DECREASE fps, such as the lego one which uses custom 3d models for blocks, which can be quite laggy, if they do increase fps, then send me proof.
