I lived in Amsterdam when I was young. I love this city. Be honest, rijks museum, van goeh are great, don't miss it. Walking along the canals that you will feel comfortable. Rivers, bridges, trees, bikes, houses, narrow streets combine all together to create a special picture. You will feel you are back to 18 century.
museum are overrated and expensive and 3 hour waiting line (not a joke!!)
The coffeeshops you mentioned are not for drinking coffee but for smoking weed and other soft drugs. Cafe are for drinking coffee
But you can also drink coffee in a coffeeshop so...
Amenda i think everyone knows ;)
Pim what
Pim true if you don’t mind the smell.
yes, everyone knows!
I have visited Amsterdam 3 times so far and it's my favourite city in the whole world!!Looking forward to go again! I think there are a lot more attractions to see in Amsterdam:
1. the Johan Cruijff Arena (Ajax Stadium)
2. A cheese factory and try the awesome gouda varieties
3. The IceBar Amsterdam
4. Nemo Science Museum
5. Opera and Ballet House
6. Day or night canal cruise
7. Dam Square and Royal Palace
8. Artis Royal Zoo and Micropia Exhibition
Also outside of it:
1. Keukenhoff Gardens
2. Edam, Volendam, Zaanse Schans villages
3. Rotterdam port and food market
4. Utrecht picturesque city centre
The Netherlands is an amazing country guys and the locals are so friendly and welcoming.. Definitely worth at least a visit during your lifetime.. 😍😍😊😊
Eleni Efthymiou I’ve been to the Netherlands 3 times as well but have only seen 7 and 8 on your list, and 3 and 4 on your Outside list. I can’t imagine not going back again to explore more :) I just went last month and visited Delft and Haarlem for the first time, and revisited den Haag and Amsterdam. I hope to make it to Eindhoven and Maastricht on a future trip :)
@@SpookyDarling i have been in Rotterdam, Utrecht, Delft, Nijmegen, Groningen and den Haag apart from Amsterdam and loved them all.. The funny thing is that the next time i go to the Netherlands i want to visit Maastricht and Eindhoven too like you.. 😊 And maybe Alkmaar.. 😊
@@elenieefthymiou NL is the first country outside the US I've visited, and this year I went to Scotland, England, and back to NL for a few days. I was curious to find out if I would fall deeply in love with every foreign city and country I visit, but as it turns out, I didn't. There's something about NL I can't quite put my finger on that makes it feel like home. Like things make sense there and feel right. I can't imagine not ever going back.
@@SpookyDarling totally understand coz i felt exactly the same way! ❤️
Thanks a lot! Much better than the video itself hahaha
Obviously the vondelpark was empty it's winter. Try going there in summer. There's no green spot left for you 😂
Daan Made in Holland lol almost never seen homeless people there. Compared to other cities there are no homeless persons.
@Daan Made in Holland theres only 1 homeless person in the vondelpark and everyone loves him; he keeps the park clean, stop lying.
Dude who made the video is a fking moron that’s why lol
Update: the iamsterdam sign got removed in december 2018.
Noooooo!!!!!!! :(
there were to many people in the area. too easy for pick pockets i guess.
ITS BACK
cool
There's one left.

This is a great format to introduce a city. I wish there were more videos like this on other cities as well
there are... check their channel.
Been there 4 times and going next week. I have some friends that live there and this video is literally the best one of them all to talk about the highlights about the city. There's obviously a whole lot more but such a great video.
I am so excited to see my capital city here. I love the Nederlands with all my heart
i am from Amsterdam and it is really fun to see what other country's think of my city!
Tip from a local, take a canal tour or hire a boat, but first go to the coffeeshop and smoke something, that gives you a lot of fun 😂😂😂😂
Preaching the wrong stuff here Janus 😂
Very informative video with with beautiful shots. THANKS.
Wow❤ Ilove Amsterdam 😍🇳🇱🇩🇿
I can’t wait to visit Amsterdam. It’s one of my travel dreams in life. 😊
This city looks so beautiful and full of ancient gems. I wish I could go to Amsterdam one day
I live near Amsterdam, its gorgeous!
Very insightful! Makes me wanna go back to visit the city! 👍🏻
Beautiful place and great video. Thanks for sharing the beauty. Stay safe.
The food in Amsterdam is superb !! Local food is a must and many ideas on this video for our next visit 😃 Will keep them in mind for our next trip 👍 Awesome
i amsterdam sign has gone - when we were there it was very busy at the front - we went to the reverse side of the sign - took photos - when we came home i just flipped the image horizontally - we had uncluttered images with no tourists on our side of the sign.
This is genius
U smart
I'll be arriving in 2 months and this is soooooo helpful. Thank you UNILAD!
Beautiful walking tour ! Thanks for sharing 😄👍
Love ! Love ! Love! ❤❤❤
Only the renting bikes isn't such a good idea if you aren't used to riding a bike in cities like Amsterdam. I always see tourists at their bikes and it's very dangerous ;/ But all the other things are good :)
Just go by GVB. Or NS
I agree, but if you're comfortable riding a bike it's definitely something people should do to actually explore the city
Greetings from Amsterdam ua-cam.com/video/hXxgmHP4SCQ/v-deo.html
Femke van den berg hahahahah precies dat
I agree. A cousin of mine lost her life riding a bike in Amsterdam and got hit by a truck. So if you're not a strong bike rider, I say skip it and use your feet or take public transportation.
Thank you for the nice video. I am intrigued now !
I'm going in two weeks I can't wait 🙌🏻
Was it nice? You got high a lot :)? I´m actually going in 2 weeks from now too! Gonna smoke so fucking much ;D!
Now this making me saying hurry up to october!! looks so much fun!! can't can't wait.
October is a great time of year to go... we were there for our second time last October and might be going again this year. it's nice to see many of the trees showing fall colours in addition to the beautiful buildings.
awesome cheers thanks. yeah i cant wait should be fun.
Have fun And Come to Haarlem! Close to Amsterdam! I live there And it's little Amsterdam And not so busyy;🤪
Jasmijn Weiland❤️ I will do I’m in Amsterdam from 17-21. Gonna be epic and how far is Haarlem? Cheers will do lots.
Great video. Heading there this weekend for some street photography ndsm looks perfect 😊👍🏻
Going this weekend buzzing for it
I had a dream about this place. I want to go here someday
Well for all the Dutch people stating to visit another city in the Netherlands: I'm also Dutch and live in Amsterdam, have lived in other cities as well, and I really enjoy just strolling around, exploring everything. It's a reallly special city so I definetely suggest visiting it first before going to other places in the Netherlands!
agreed!
fuck all those villages (yes that what they are)
Thank you for recommendations! Very useful ))
Heel overzichtelijke video !
Mooie fotografie en goede tips
Oh man i like Amsterdam💙
Tip: Be careful when buying flower bulbs at the Bollenmarkt! Recently a report came out that said only one percent of bulbs bought there actually end up blooming. This is mainly due to vendors selling dried out bulbs that they kept for too long. As a general rule, there really shouldn’t be any bulbs available between December and July, so any you encounter in that time will most likely be old dried up ones.
Thank you for The tip
cheese museum in Jordaan, boat cruise (boatamsterdam includes drinks in the ticket), brewery in a windmill, avocado show restaurant, tussaud museun, heritage and red light walking tour :)
i love your videos!! great edits!

consider going to Alkmaar, nice place to shop, get some food and see history, it;s like Amsterdam but smaller
I live in the Netherlands and even worked in Amsterdam NDSM but i never enjoyed it like a tourist would. Maybe i should go on vacation in my own country
Hi
Thank you for sharing this video, helpful
Haarlemmer straat and Haarlemmerplein are so cute!! My favorite street, and when you have walked all the way trough it there are plenty breakfast/lunch places!!
also a good place to get by a car (taxis)
Really happy to have been born and raised in Amsterdam!! If you want to visit please be respectful to others and treat Amsterdam as your own lovely home-town.
what about being respectful to everyone, not just when you visit amsterdam ^^
Y’all need tourist money so chill out
Never really thought about visiting but you guys are making me want to with this video!
100% worth a visit!

Don't listen to people like Daan Made in Holland. Unfortunately every society and culture has bittered people. Amsterdam actually is a wonderful place to visit. Lots of art and beautiful architecture all around. Also I can happily inform you the people are very hospitable, and no, the Muslim people will not harass you as he claims.
As a dutchie that’s not from Amsterdam- I know it’s very different from the rest of the country, but I still love this city so much. Really hope to be able to move there one day🥰
Thank u for ur information 👌,i really appreciate.
Would love to see one for Budapest!
Awesome ! We'll do our best :)
Spent a week in Amsterdam this past July and had an amazing experience. Don’t rent a bike, you’ll get killed. I was smart enough to realize that and stay away. Also, the city really isn’t that big so me and my friends would walk everywhere. We’re from Manhattan so we’re used to it. Gorgeous city and some really friendly locals.
Can't wait to go in December!
Love Amsterdam so much
Dont do the city view from the tower. Amsterdam doesnt have a good sky line, its beauty is found on the streets
or on top of the amsterdam centrum public library; great view and a sandwich and no entrance fee
even though AMS doesnt have tall buildings making up a skyline the overview of the city is still amazing from up there. just go late in the day for good lighting conditions.
Alternatively just hit the roof of Nemo Science museum.
nonsense, there are no tall buildings
@@littlemissmello you can go Into the hotel (tree top) next to it ,just go in and take the lift for sky lounge, cost nothing, but warning dont buy anything to eat or drink, for the prices are high, and you have to buy anything. Just look at the view over the city.
Leidseplein...very lively area with hip restaurants n all
yes! and there are many more areas like that. it is a never ending party!
Been there last new years and it was incredible I fell in love with amesterdam I'm going back soon to start my university wish me luck!
Elea Ghanem good luck to you
Im going here in summer and so exited because last time i have trawelled somewhere it was like 3 years ago in Sweden
Trust me, im from amsterdam. Vondelpark is not quiet LOL. You mustve went there when it was somehow not busy, but vondelpark is usually very crowded, especially on sunny days
was too busy doing other things in amsterdam to visit vodelpark
I went in July 2013 for a couple of days and it was definately packed. Off season or shoulder season it is not so bad
Amsterdamse Bos is better
Ideal/Dream🤗🤗🤗 destination...
Cant wait till I get my Passport
Anyone from Kenya😉
Yea Nlikuwa hapo Dec 31 2019..mashada mbaya
The greenhouse coffee shop great coffee and cakes !!!
probably gonna study in Amsterdam in 2021:) great video
Those travel chip cards you showed don't work in the whole country, they are specific to GVB (Amsterdams local public transport company) and do NOT work with other companies in the netherlands. I should know because I'm a bus driver with a different company and we get tourist with those GVB cards all the time and have to refuse them.
The one that works in the whole country is more yellowish colour (ov-chipcard).
CookiesForEveryone to add too that the chip card is only 7,50 one time price. After that is needs to be topped upped. Best case is to buy a ticket at a machine when traveling with public transport.
Als iemand die voor de NS heeft gewerkt ben ik het volledig met je eens.
Ook wij kregen ze vaak langs, of ze betalen gewoon helemaal niet.
yes, I wondered about that when they said it's good for the whole country. we get a a chip card every time we visit... if we are there for 7 days we pay for 7 day card so we have unlimited use wherever we are in the city.
"Things to do in AMSTERDAM"
Recommendation: Rent a paddle boat and tour the canals, you can stop at any of the designated stops and get off and tour the city.
fuck that
Wow! A great video. Just visited Amsterdam. :)
I'm going to Amsterdam next month. Can't wait to visit all these places for foodies!!!
The food is to die for!
iamtimchung Amsterdam is Amazing ua-cam.com/video/r1g1rb0w1b8/v-deo.html
What food did you have? Any tips?
Food poisoning, the silent killer.
@@chazefez9625 3 months late reply but I'd suggest chipsy King. It's a double dip fry place located all over the center and they're to die for. They're so nice. If you wanted something more local however you should try the sausage rolls in most street stores. You can't find any like them in England my mate
@@chazefez9625 fries are always fucking awesome in Europe. Hit up some of the street food places too the Dutch know how to deep fry them a snack.
Leidseplein, Red Light District?
2:31 had to back out and see what the channel was called, nice one UNILAD
My faviurite city!
Progress they say shows when hard work is put into a venture. I was experiencing lapses in putting enough work into trading, and my job made it nearly impossible for me to earn. Until I came across Charlotte Anderson, turned my life around, I'm so grateful?
Seems you knew her recently. She has been my manager for past three months now. She has totally changed my financial state, Her experience over the years gives her edge over other traders, her strategy is profitable.
In 2 months I have close to $10,000 on my account with $1,000 as capital and have withdrawn up to $5,000 from it. without an affiliate program it is a bull run on the account.
I live in Dubai, Her strategies are superb and always gives accurate results, having her trade for me has really elevated me financially. I remember my first investment of $25k and she made me $34,700 just after 6 days of trading. Having Charlotte trade for me is still the best investment i made this year.?
I'm getting to understand the market properly, working with Charlotte Anderson i see how broad and profitable trading the online market can be . I'm most pleased to be under her mentor.
i work with a strategy which has proven effective and highly profitable across different platforms, Charlotte Anderson strategy is the best, she trades in my account using this strategy and I've gotten nothing but praise for her, She's turned my $3,000 account to $35k in just 2 months.
The sign I AMSTERDAM is taken away nowadays!
Its now on the other side of the river 👌🏻
too many tourists taking photos from the street plus crazy dammer bikers equals accident waiting to happen
Ohh no! I’m looking to have a picture in it. Will visiting Amsterdam April next year. Sad 😢
Awesome video!!
Beautiful!
I am a local I live in Amsterdam I want to dispel some things that he said that we’re not true. First thing the TravelCard that he mentions is only valid for Amsterdam GVB not the whole country. If you want something that is valid for the whole country you can purchase A blue OV- chipkaart for tourists the card costs about eight euros (one time fee) and it is valid for five years. If you want to use the card for the NS train and for the metro, trans, and buses then you need to maintain at least a balance of €20 on the card. If you only want to use it for the public transportation with an Amsterdam then there’s no minimum and you can use it as a means of pay as you go.
I live in Amsterdam and there is another I Amsterdam sighn in osdorp nearby the sloterplas. Tourist never come there so you can take great photo’s with a lake at the back. You have to take tram 1 or 17 to come there.
Rosa Z mooi freerunparkje is dat zeg
I dont understand - why would anyone want to take a photo of the iamsterdam sign with nobody else around? that is the fun of it - to see all the other crazy people climbing on it etc.
Been to the banksy one it was really good. I suggest going to the vondelpark!!! Real good spot to drink some beer with friends. I grown up around there as a kid. Love to see this!
Gosh so dreamy
Make a video about Rotterdam.
Jayden Hughes love Rotterdam. Greetings from Amsterdam ua-cam.com/video/Oe1O5orrgm8/v-deo.html
no.
pls don't advertise tourists on bikes, they are really dangerous on the roads with us
That's right young Dutch girl.
@@Revolver1981 Lots of tourists walk on the bikeroads instead of the pedestrians pavement!
hahaha, i saw a guy taking photos on the road, not bike path, get run over by a biker. those bikers are not pedestrian friendly; they don't slow down or stop
Ziek goedde achternaam
Too late for that now!
Really good video guys, Amsterdam is definitely on the list now!
TheGameFaceHD Greetings from amazing Amsterdam ua-cam.com/video/r1g1rb0w1b8/v-deo.html
This video very presentable and informative.
We are waiting for Morocco ❤😉
Hopefully soon!
Morocco is not a city.
December 4, 2018 the "I AMSTERDAM" sign on Museum square has been removed by the council after 15 years.
Kut halsema
AND ITS BACK so whatever
@@MMijdus it was buttugly, that was true
Great video 👍😀
Its every germans dream to visit amsterdam at least once in your lifetime. germans love the netherlands
As a Dutch citizen I advise you to skip Amsterdam and go to Haarlem, Utrecht, Gouda, Delft, Leiden, Maastricht and Groningen instead. It's not what it used to be anymore. Also, if you rent a bike be sure you actually know how to ride a bike. The biggest annoyance of Dutch people are tourist on bikes who have no clue what they are doing.
tijmen131 we heard Haarlem was awesome so would love to check that out next time!
I feel like as a tourist perspective you have to go to ams only once and than go to different places in the Netherlands, its definitely not what it use to be there are lots of chain shops but those in 9 straatjes are still different and the museums
Don’t skip Amsterdam, the city is amazing ua-cam.com/video/hXxgmHP4SCQ/v-deo.html
Never skip it! It's amazing and the best. Just go to some other cities as well :)
Amsterdam is the greatest city on earth! it's like walking around in a dream... it is a never ending party and celebration of life!
i live in the jordaan😂
Nice video..
God bless always..
From the 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hope we can come back here in Amsterdam . We missed some of your spots. Zaanse schans is nice!
Waaait with the “travel chip card” they’re showing in this video, you can only travel with public transport in Amsterdam. Not in the rest of the Netherlands!
Is that the OV-Chipkaart? If so, you can certainly use it elsewhere in the Netherlands. I use it in Rotterdam.
@@joshuaevans4714 Of course you can use OV Chipkaart all over the Netherlands, but it certainly doesn't cost only 7,50 a day. 7,50 is the cost of the card, then you need to load it up, as you would an Oyster in London.
right... its only valid for public transport in Amsterdam (7,50 was the 24-h-day-travelcard) ... its not allow to drive with this card in other cities or Netherlands Trains (NS) ...
I've been to Amsterdam several times with the guys, but they just get high all day and we don't get to do any of this stuff.
Daan Made in Holland as we live here it is nothing special, for people who arent for europe for example its a whole diffrent world..just being here able to look at the city is enough for most of them as it is a world of change. I agree though as a ducth citizen i have to agree it sucks to live here to be honest...
fish and banana that’s actually very sad to hear. You are missing out on so much.
MDMA snuiven..?
you need to get new friends then! waste of time...
I don't know why Amsterdam is so popular. It looks boring
Hermoso!!!
I miss this so much
Tourists are the are a hazard on the roads in Amsterdam !
Best things to go when you go dam, smoke bare weed and after you’re stoned go bang a brass, won’t be a disappointing weekend
Yo you should check out the prostitues with the blue lights xd
Beautiful city ever seen😍😍😍
No it sucks
There's also IAmsterdam signs at Schiphol airport Plaza, Amsterdam Osdorp next to Sloterplas and there's one traveling around as well, currently in East at Oostpoort.
These are good, but it also includes tourist traps. Coffeeshops' for instance, aren't really something locals get to. A lot of things are cool, but overpriced, like all the waffles and bakery stuff. If you want to get a bike, know how to bike first. It's really awful how some tourists ride a bike in Amsterdam. Definitely not like locals. And the Netherlands are more than only Amsterdam. If you want to discover more about it, visit This is Holland next to the A'dam Tower, you'll discover the Netherlands in a unique way within one hour! After that, take a train ticket and visit the countryside.
I keep seeing this thing about locals not going to coffeeshops everywhere, I live in the NL for 4 years now and in 9/10 coffeeshops the majority of smokers are dutch. Of course if you go to the bulldog its 99% tourists but everywhere else its not. A lot of dutch people smoke weed, why does everyone try to refuse this?
Apart from that completely agree with your comment :)
Guy van Nifterik Bro, tourists drive awful with their bikes but trust me the Amsterdamers ain't better.
Greetings from Amsterdam ua-cam.com/video/hXxgmHP4SCQ/v-deo.html
Daan Made in Holland bro I'm 20, but coffeeshops are trash. If you wanna get a joint just do it at home.
nananananana This is bullshit
I live in amsterdam and please dont hire bikes i have to zigzag through them all day
Great videos !
Amazing🎉
Don’t rent a rb&b we have a house problem in Amsterdam just go in a hotel
