Yeah, there were heaps of small baitfish around that I was trying to match - match the hatch as they say! I was only there for about 40 mins and got two nice fish! These Gulp Minnows are worth a try. Always get fish in them. Thanks heaps mate! 🙏 🎣 💯
Hey mate, loving your content - new to fishing in Brisbane and am really keen to get onto a few flatties - so just trying to work out whereabouts you are... is this on the right side of the bridge that takes you to Redcliffe near Decker Park?
Hey mate, glad to hear you are looking to get into fishing and chasing some flatties! Yeah, this is at Decker park you can fish all of these small walls. Plenty of fish around them at high tide. At low tide it’s too shallow. Water is a bit murky at the moment but should be back to normal soon. Good luck brother and hope you can get some good fish.
Thanks mate! There aren’t many snags in that area at all, you can cast lures all the way to the Hornibrook bridge. I recommend going at high tide - the flathead come right in to feed or the sand bars. Good luck! 🎣
@@nigiessquidgies cheers mate I'm gonna go there tomorrow morning and have a few flicks with a diawa double clutch 95mm I got for Christmas and I don't want to lose it first cast cause it's a 30 dollar lure
@@mason_fisho Good luck mate! It’s all sandbars there, but just keep an eye out for the odd rock here and there. You could always use a cheaper lure to test the area you are casting as well. I do this a lot and it’s saves me some $$ on expensive lures. There is a big high tide at lunchtime tomorrow. That would be the best time to fish for them off there rock walls at Brighton Beach. If it’s low tide you have to walk out onto the flats. The flathead will hit your lure really hard, they are true predators. It’s awesome fun mate - good luck!
Good to see you smashing them with gulp minnows now…They say that variety is a spice of life…. Enjoy 🎣 cheers 🍻
