I was very much surprised to learn that this tune was written by a man living today, it fits right in with all the tunes of tradition

Great point, @David Hale -- slip jigs can be played in such a wide range of tempos! It's really fun to play around and find where you personally like each one sitting. I tend to like this one "on the clippier side"....I'd love to hear your more laid back tempo whenever we might cross paths in person! :) Happy fiddlin'!
