    I used to bowl there in the late 80s early 90s. They had a pretty decent 24 hour diner back in the day.

    Pins are piling up on top of the bin. Other pins keep coming and are pushing the pins over the edge until they drop down onto the lane.

    First off, plastic lanes suck. Give me wood lanes anyday.
    Second, AMF pinsetters are always stubborn. I worked briefly at a center with Brunswick A2s, which despite their age were super reliable, except for our #3 machine, which had a lot of 90 and 180 stops. We never could get that one sorted out, and we tried every trick. My best guess was some sort of intermittent control box issue, but even swapping in known good box didn't sort it.
    The head mechanic thought the issue was a ghost from a former mechanic that got crushed when a deck came down on him. 😮

      Sorry to break it to ya but I'm not a fan of Wood Lanes, I never get used to it since my ball would just overhook from my target and oh I don't like where you have to close half of the lanes off just to resurface them. Of course I forgot to mention that Wood Lanes aren't durable to withstand high lofting balls. Wood Lanes on Duckpin, Candlepin or 5 Pin can be fine but not with Tenpin.
      Also I agree that AMF can be a pain but if its maintained well, it can run fine. Like my home center had AMF 82-90XL Pinspotters, they kept breaking all the time and when I took a vacation to somewhere else and bowled at 2 centers which had AMF 82-70's, they don't seem to break and they run great than the center in my hometown, I even bowled at 2 more centers but had GS-X Pinsetters and they run great as well. I really never tried A2's yet, Philippines has more AMF's and GS than A2's.

    That would be typical at SM and their 82-90XL's lol

      I feel like this place usually has not as great of maintenance on their machines as most other places do. All the lanes and stuff like that are fairly new, as the place flooded several years ago, but the machines appear to be in rough shape.

      @Pinoy Bowler Except SM is worse than this alley, because not only pins drop, but the machine breaks also.

    I love how they bowl with qubica amf lite pins and some other pins look like they are beat up the only problem is that the pin setter drops pins and jams to much

    The fact it takes so long for the pins to set is annoying, they need to put more pins in the machine

    Leaguers don’t understand how frustrating it can be to maintain machines and they take it personally when something goes wrong wish they would sit back and drink a beer just chill

      Players don't have time to wait around for unmaintained machines that keep jamming. There's an open lane to the right. Close this one for repair, and let them play on 11.

      I can’t agree with you more. Im currently working as a mechanic at a center with 82-70s, and during league it’s always hectic. They take every small dropped pin personally and seemingly can’t wait 30 seconds for me to clear a pin jam or fix an out of range.

      @@DMahalkoAt the time I filmed this, they had a league going on, so lane 11-14 were being used as a buffer / spare pair between league and open bowling. It wasn’t a super big problem, just a really big pile up that took the mechanic a while to fix.

    Don't keep bowling while the tech was trying to fix it! It's his bad for not bringing the sweep down on you impatient asses

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  8 місяців тому +1

      The tech was not called until the sweep came down and stayed down the final time. As someone who both works on machines, and spends a lot of time in bowling alleys, I always give the techs plenty of time, and do not bowl once Ive gone to the front desk, and wait an extra minute or two once they have it fixed to make sure they’re out of the machine.
