Lovely and informative vid, and I agree with everything you said, I live out of Darwin and have seen first hand how overseas backpackers are treated by businesses, more times than not its appalling, treated as a disposable item, those that run these businesses should be a on watchlist and in some cases a banned register from taking advantage of people. Theres no reason to treat people poorly, chin up champ, we Aussies are nice people by and by, your experience isnt alone in outback roadhouses unfortunately.
My experience has been different. Mind you I found its more reflective of the individuals nation than just being a tourist. UK tourists predominately females cause hotels such as this great grief. I work security and so had multiple English women try things like getting me fired, false accusations and so on. All to find out that I am friends with the local police and they end up fired. Had one English chick think that because she sucked the owner she was safe. Thing is you don't mess with Security. They need me more.
The Australian border is still closed for foreigners, unless you find an employer who really wants you to work for him/her. In this case you can enter Australia and start working after a 2 week quarantine period.
I like Australia and I do miss it. Unfortunately, I was in a “traveling” mindset back then and did not look for a long-term job that could lead to a permanent residency.
References are concrete. Nice music & great details you add. God bless you from Miami, Florida 🌬🕵🔮
Very interesting, thanks for sharing this mate 👍
