This is the Anthem of my childhood,in a blink of an eye I am suddenly 50 years old and still loving this fantastic song.
This and Torch...the best!
Still superb 37 years later ! Class lasts, these guys are proof of that !!!
Wow, this is amazing! Marc's doing really well for 62!
and having been in a near fatal motorcycle accident
62 is pretty young, but maybe not if you've lived a hard life.
He's had some fun! ❤️
@@WaltDittrich Young for dying but it is not young. It is old as well.
@@massmurggor4108 Anymore, people are living well into their 80's and 90's.
I would accept 62 is middle-aged, even the high side but I don't think one should consider that old.
Then again, I'm of the belief age is just a number. How old would you be if you didn't know your ACTUAL age?
Think Tom Cruise. He's 61: as of this writing. I don't think anyone would think to call him old.
Rob Lowe, 59. Keanu Reeves, 58.
Angela Bassett at 64 now MIGHT be showing her age, but I'd guess she doesn't feel it.
Steve Martin at 77 and William Shatner at 92... YES, the gray hair would help one to say they're old, but doggone they put people half their age to shame! 😂
I put it back on: It's how you live your life.
Age is just a meaningless number. I hope your number grows and grows.❤
@@WaltDittrich It is not old too much but it is period of becoming old. Not even middle-aged. About 45-50 is middle aged, even 40 is middle-aged but 62 is old.
what a lovely guy he is
I used to stand outside the some bizarre record building back in the 80’s. Met Marc and Dave many times. I was there at the O2......it cannot be the last time. Absolutely incredible
Omg I love Marc so much. Just watching him I feel such love for him and how his brilliant art has contributed to my life, and of course Dave too
Wow! Marc sounds so good after all these years! Wow!
And what a fantastic night that was nearly 3 hours of nonstop music and dancing 🕺 💃.
I really love you momma💗💖💝🌸💚
Was a great night - a privilege to have been there :)
Marc & Dave ! 🖤🖤🧷🧷
Still a timeless banging track in 2021!
So clever! Love Marc!
I special ordered the 10" of Bedsitter back in 82. Facility Girls was the b side. Still my favorite Soft Cell song. I saw Marc in 2018 in LA with Blondie/Berlin/Dolby/Adam Ant as a solo act so didn't get to see Dave nor hear this song there. Thanks for the post :)
So evocative, it instantly transports me back to my bedsit - having never lived in a bedsit.
Outstanding is an understatement. This is right up there with their (then) last show in Jan 84 at Hammersmith Palais. Two completely different shows but very special in different ways for me.
Oh.. and who's the idiot that gave this a thumbs down??
I was there with my best friend Annie, it was fab xx
Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!! Soft Cell xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I love you Marc!!
Am being brought back to this immortal night. It was A BLAST
He looks great! The best argument against botox (I'll take it anyway). No one can describe this feeling of loneliness better than him. I love him.
WOW! Gods among us.
An icon, from the 80s.
Looking forward to seeing them on the common in Southampton this summer. Non stop erotic cabaret is, for me, one of the top 2, if not 1, early 80s electronic albums. Cheers to Mark and Dave.
What an amazing night, can’t wait now for the DVD release
People still buy DVD's?
@@matthew6994 Yes. That’s why they released it on DVD.
Classic, Looking Good !!
🖤Oh Marc, how I love thee.🖤
what a trip to see them at this age!
Brilliant. I know cuz i was there
Iconic moment in time
Wow
Amazing Artist! Can't wait to see him live in Whitby at the October Goth Festival! dx
Such a great gig
Salvatore Sirigu; born: 12.01.1987. Nuoro, Italy🇮🇹
Marc doesn't appear to age, looks like bedsitting's not a bad way to go. Nice one.
Wish I'd gone to this
Fucking awesome!
Yes👍🏾
Grande Almond.
I really regret missing this live
They start their reunion tour this November of 2021. Lots of dates in the UK.
Wundervoll!

Marc has a Mac

Awhhh, my dream is to see them live. But I’m American so that can’t happen. Also that was their last tour together...
why must I be God’s piñata?
at least it means you're full of deliciousness
None of Your Business lol yea 😂
They will be doing a Tour in America 😁
Miss Mortesin Yeah, the sad thing is that they aren’t coming to any states near me so I can’t see them live :(
👏👏👏👏
I remember that time in the early Eighties. Lennon was brutally killed senselessly and optimism for the new decade was gone as a result. It took the wind out of the Sails.
Lennon had good thoughts about the new decade and returned to music with a new album to return only to get gunned down and it shattered the Beatle dream once and for all. He sang about starting over but instead his life was over. Back in the Seventies, on the live comedy show SNL, they joked about reuniting the Beatles and offered them $3000 to come on SNL. They didn’t know that Lennon was watching the show and talked to Paul about going down there to the SNL live studio and surprising everyone by appearing live! 😮
That would have been great! But they decided not to. So SNL came very close to reuniting the Beatles! Then with Lennon’s death the window had closed.
So the new music reflected the gloom. It had a melancholy feeling and lyrics to match. The Goth movement and bands like the Cure personified the dark outlook very well. A feeling of Doom and Gloom.
A lot like now. Senseless Wars and killings everywhere creating despair. Art reflects Life after all.

This is what you call timeless Ed sheeran jake bugg take note
I do agree 100%!!!!!
So is this soft cell performing or Marc almond ? Cheers I been married nearly 30 years and I still sing this in the house . Massively talented British legend
Soft Cell, Marc Almond and Dave Ball.
I did enjoy this concert but they did leave a lot of tracks they really shouldn't have off the list. There was a few dull moments which could have been avoided with tracks like chips on my shoulder!! Entertain me...
