I didn't understand most of this video, but why does it seem like it is reporting that 1949 was the beginning of French television? Americans & the English, had television for over 10 years by then! My family owned a set since 1950 & I even appeared on an early t.v. show, that same year at age 4, hosted by actor Buster Crabbe!/p.s I did see the first, live "Telstar" broadcast from France to the U.S. in 1962! That was amazing, for the time!
It's not exactly what they say. They date the first tests in 1935 and say it took about 15 years before television enter the homes. 1949 is the date of the tv set shown in the documentary was put on the market.
