yes he had $27000 to start with but at his age i know most people would have probably bought a new car or blow it off on something stupid, he was smart and invested it in his education and its going to make him millions. #stayhungry

    STEVEN DUX's - PATTERNS THAT WORK 85%
    1 . FRST RED DAY
    2. DIP BUYING HUGE PANICS
    3. SHORTING/SHORTING SPIKES (This one has to fit a lot of details and exp shorting needed )
    4. SHORTING PARABOLICS ( might not work during current market)

If you listen closely he tells you exactly how he grew his account. So many nuggets in here.
And the most important one for me is he only takes trades when the setup meets all the criteria. Which means he has patience to wait for the perfect set up and then pulls the trigger when he has the hand he wants. Once he has the hand he's looking for he puts on size. (Not all the time of course.)
A lot of aspiring traders can't deal with missing out on moves in order to catch the ideal set up. It takes a lot of self control. Fear of missing out is a deadly trait to have. Patience is truly a virtue when trading.

dont understand why he discloses this and spills so much. the knowledge should be hoarded and kep secret amongst a tight circle of traders. Unless someone pays for the secret knowledge aka signing up for the challenge and/or buying dvd's.

    • @tonycj7860

I'm still trying to find out what this "perfect set up" is.

    • @josephfornes3763
      @josephfornes3763 7 років тому +30

jeff deers what you don't understand man is that it doesn't matter that he "discloses" this information. There is no secret formula for successful trading, the only thing that separates successful and not is discipline, strategy and habits. Most people don't take action on knowledge they are given so it doesn't matter he gives this away because most people won't execute. It's not rocket science

So much knowledge, but the two biggest lessons I learned here are:
1 - quality over quantity - only the best setups, and
2 - be open-minded to learn from multiple successful traders
Thank you, Tim and Dux, for sharing your wisdom!

This video is phenomenal!!!!! Tim keep doing what you're doing! I've learned a lot from being a challenge student 10 months ago and am becoming a better trader! In time we'll be having this same discussion. When people ask, does it work, i say everything works when you work. The proof is in your transparency that it works. At that point it's not about you, it's about them. You have to be willing to do what everyone else isn't, in order to not have what everyone else has. No matter what your goals are in life these rules apply.

I hear those points from every one of you! I don't know how others view their road to success. But, I do know, EVERYTHING I've ever accomplished or gained from....Came from building the skill, first! The gains didn't/don't matter as much in the beginning, for me. It's the fulfilment of filling my potential, and proving to myself I CAN do what I set my mind to! The money is just a perk!

Hi Timothy, really great and inspiring video! I would appreciate it so very much if you took some time to read my messege.
I'm 20 right now and at a big crossroad in my life. I have applied to university, ironically enough, it's environmental engineering for me aswell. However, I've spent so much time wondering what exactly I want to do with my life, who I am as a person and what I think I should be working with/am good at and I am still not 100% sure of what I really want to work with. Trading has been on my mind for quite some time now but I never felt really encouraged to start since I went to a science high school and my knowledge of how economics work is very basic still.
After watching this video however, my motivation has never been higher. Here you talked about how important it is to stay objective and take your emotions out of the trades and also how extremely important patience is. These are a few traits that I know I possess thanks to previous life experiences. I am a very dedicated and stubborn person when it comes to selfimprovement aswell and I think that these attributes could make me a potentially good trader.
My biggest problem however is that I get choked up at the beginning of things. I see the path I need to take to reach my goal but I rarely see the beginning of it. So I'm asking you, or anyone here, where and/or what should I begin with as a completely novice who has not traded before in his life? I will gladly take any advice for anyone but it would mean a whole lot to me if even you, Timothy, could shed some of your wisdom to me.
I wish all the other starters out there a massive good luck by the way.

Tim talks about being self sufficient and he is super helpful. But the one thing he never focuses on is how to find stocks when you don't have STT. How do you find them without using alerts. What ways can we use to scan for stocks and find them on our own.

This fucken guy nailed it! If you are eager to make money you won't make it. Being eager makes you over trade. It's more about being like a panther, patient and hunting the prey...you won't eat every day, but when you do, it will be a FUCKEN BUFFET! To all the newbies, he said he trades 3 to 5 times A WEEK LOOKING FOR A SPECIFIC PATTERN!
