Packethic, what an incredible video. Thanks for posting this. I love how you've trained your dogs and how you handled them in this video. Its awesome when you can train one dog to be as obedient and respectful as all of your dogs seem to be. Nice work keep it up!
I can tell these are happy dogs. I'm sure they respect you very much and because you took the time to teach them self-control you respect them as well. It's awesome to see ppl who understand dogs.
This is an exercise, not even a lifestyle here. This is the kind of respect that we ask around food of every dog, for their safety and benefit and that of everyone around them forever. Thanks to this, we free feed and can leave food available 24/7 and allow them to graze whenever they wish. This exercise is an example of a large pack of dogs waiting and eating together in peace...it requires a lot of control...you try it...Veronica, instead of barking here all day...
Total respect. I teach my dogs exactly the same...only the most I've ever had was two at a time! This is fantastic. And if you want your dogs to know who is running the show, control the food. And establishing who is running the show is required for a happy, safe dog.
Superb. I love the way they are all almost completely focused on you rather than the food. And I can see that they are happy to be led, otherwise they'd be impossible. No jumping around, no aggression, so basically, no stress. Each one understands that they WILL get fed, by you, and not be left out, so they wait. It's good to watch.
wow this is soooo crazzzy... they are sooo well behaved..... i love it!!!! having that many dogs you need this. they also eat slow and don't feel like they have to gobble it down before another dog gets it. way to go. such good doogie's !!!!
=) looking at the puppies wait for the food, made me feel like I was waiting for food. Very well trained pups and very healthy looking too, takes a big heart to rescue so many of them.
@lookn4smitty this is the way we have always taught them to eat - sit - wait and then a release command. we started with the small pack and as it grew - everyone else learned the same. as for messy eaters? placemats under their bowls? if they eat fast you can buy bowls with a raised island in the center that forces them to eat around it and slows them down. you can also use a smaller bowl turned upside down for the same effect.
to anyone who thinks this is abuse, these are NOT dogs who are afraid. these are dogs that respect their pack leader. and to anyone who's still skeptical... just look at those portions! these dogs are living the dream! amazing job, @Packethic
Great video! They sure see you as a pack leader. Very impressed. I always make my dogs do the same thing but I don't nearly have as many. I feel bad because sometimes I forget to give them the OK and they will NOT eat until I do.
I trained my dogs in the same way. My staffy would not take the food until i touched it with my finger. Sometimes i would forget and hear him crying at his full food bowl. Once I touched it, then he ate. He would NEVER pick up things off the ground and NEVER take a snack from anyone. My buds would try to get him to eat a snack, but if I didn't touch it, he would not even sniff it. I also poison trained him so he would not ever pick up anything off the ground no matter how good it smelled.
@wordreet I agree with you 100%! The comments by people that are saying the dogs are afraid or are intimidated don't know much about the hierarchy in a pack or how much happier a dog that's trained this way is. This kind of training is exactly what a dog needs. It's VERY good to watch. :)
I only have three dogs (a corgi, a pit bull and a boxer/shepherd - all rescues) and the occasional foster, and I do the same thing with them! Spazzy bowl rushing/inhaling food is NOT allowed in my house! For those who think this guy hits it dogs, you obviously don't know how to train dogs because it DOES NOT take hitting to get a dog to behave. ANYONE can get their dogs to do this is they take them time to educate themselves. p.s. That little pup at the end is ridiculously adorable!!
Haha good stuff. I always have food out for my dogs because I personally have never had aggression or problems with food, so they get it all the time. However if i cook up meat for them they have to wait til i say its okay. The anticipation that they get when they want something so badly but know they wont get it without obedience - is adorable.
1. thats really alot of dogs , i presume u love them otherwise u wouldnt do it just for kicks 2. u trained dogs very good .. i really must say i am impressed good work :D
you're awesome! i'm jealous you have sucha big family of dogs... thanks for sharing this video. my stepmom hates pets and i can't get a dog :) this is real cool to watch
how many different strategies at feeding did you try before deciding this was the best one? this may sound like a stupid question, but do you have any tips for owners of messy or picky eaters? thanks!
@rhcp500 yup little Bolo - the youngest is the most patient...but he was born here in the house from a rescued mama so he's been learning from early on. :)
wow that's awesome. Great job. The only question I have is don't they eat faster than they should when you do that? And if so, isn't that a problem (their digestion...) anyway, congrats!
I think who sais the dogs are afraid hasn't any experience with dogs. You can see them wagging their tails and that means they are happy to see him and to get food. It's a great efford to train dogs for this behavior.
It's not mean or anything. He had a beautiful pack that respects them. If you think otherwise the. You do not know how dogs think and live. In a real pack the alpha eats first. The others have to WAIT until the alpha has had his share and let's them have the rest. This is like a simulation of that behavior. A real alpha would bite and push his pack members away to remind them that he eats, then them.
they arnt being treated poorly. he's training them to have respect when it comes to food. The leading cause of aggression in dogs is because of food. This is something s breeders do to prepare dogs and puppies for their new forever homes.
this will be my last comment to you. I am a breeder, and a trainer. To most this is bizarre behavior but in all honesty not doing such behavioral training can be harmful to the dogs impression on food.
Do you breed your own dogs or just rescue them? I am in the middle of becoming a certified trainer and im looking for my personal dog and pit bulls are my choice breed.
@lookn4smitty ...and for picky eaters - man that is work - from working in boarding facilities and dealing with stressed dogs who wont eat - we would often add a tablespoon of baby food (beef, chicken, lamb, turkey flavored) to entice them further. otherwise - trial and error. try exercising the dog more to make them hungry - or making them work for their food - like sitting and waiting - or try to get them to smell it first to entice them too - it makes them want it more...good luck :)
Best part of your ignorance Veronica is...excitement is joy when it comes to feeding. Wow...in that case resource guarding, possession aggression and food aggression must then come from an overwhelming sense of joy over the good things in life. Likewise, when this joy turned excitement turned aggression becomes a bite and dogs are euthanized and abandoned...well then I guess we get these joyful dogs in rescue and should follow the lead of their ignorant owners...like you...no thanks
@wsmaacmj The dogs aren't afraid of him. They respect him & look at him as the "alpha". They're just waiting for the signal that it's ok for them to eat. That's exactly how it should be. Dogs that are trained this way are much better behaved & are happier over all. Dogs need a leadership role in their lives. Domesticated or wild, dogs are pack animals & if they're trained this way, the bond between them & their human is much stronger than if the dogs had no training or guidance.
well, certainly strong breeds need some structure or else they take lead and become very controlling. (@wsmaacmj :-) @Rescue Ink: or guys, what a Pleasure it was to discover your site !!! To see storng men not to actually be abusers (like a lot of times happens), but to use force to protect the weak ! Wow, my sincere admiration for you taking the lead and doing your work for animals, especially for breeds with a rep. Blessings !!!
@wsmaacmj No hard feelings, check out the interview on Bark Radio and you will hear some of the things these dogs go through:( I have to implement structure, rules and boundaries with a pack this big and what you see hear is respect. These dogs are my life and if you check out some of the other videos you get to see them playing and having fun but meal time cant be fun and games with a pack of power breeds.
I was expecting them to leap on him and start tearing the food bag to pieces, but I was surprised. Also, I don't understand why everyone thinks this guy beats his dogs or anything, it is possible to ,you know, train your dog and shit.
@wsmaacmj I think the dogs are precious. It did seem to me like you make them wait too long and the ritual is too long, but that's just my opinion. I will check out your other videos. God bless.
Packethic, what an incredible video. Thanks for posting this. I love how you've trained your dogs and how you handled them in this video. Its awesome when you can train one dog to be as obedient and respectful as all of your dogs seem to be. Nice work keep it up!
Total respect to you for taking in these dogs and being a good pack leader to them.
I can tell these are happy dogs. I'm sure they respect you very much and because you took the time to teach them self-control you respect them as well. It's awesome to see ppl who understand dogs.
This is how a pack of dogs should be. Total discipline. Absolute respect. SO awesome!!!

=) looking at the puppies wait for the food, made me feel like I was waiting for food. Very well trained pups and very healthy looking too, takes a big heart to rescue so many of them.
Impressive pack leader skills! I thought I was good with five... I bow to you, sir!!

The sound of so many dogs eating at once sounds like a stream trickling by
to anyone who thinks this is abuse, these are NOT dogs who are afraid. these are dogs that respect their pack leader. and to anyone who's still skeptical... just look at those portions! these dogs are living the dream! amazing job, @Packethic
Very awesome bro! And glad theres someone helping out all the poor wee dogs.
Great video! They sure see you as a pack leader. Very impressed. I always make my dogs do the same thing but I don't nearly have as many. I feel bad because sometimes I forget to give them the OK and they will NOT eat until I do.
@Packethic
You are absolutely right here! You're doing an amazing job! THESE DOGS ARE GREAT!

And apparently, so do YOU! :D
Great job! :)
Well, I doubt anyone will be trying to break into this guy's house.
Holy hell the discipline is unreal
Amazing! So much discipline and respect! :D
That is truly amazing, really shows they respect you and that you ARE the pack leader. :]
Wow! great dogs!! you must be a wonderful owner

The dog @ 2.17 melted my heart.
I'm just impressed I found this video before 4000 views. I'm usually the 1.5 millionth to even find out about awesome stuff like this!
And now THAT is respect. Bravo. Well done. Well done.
Oh my gosh. So much dogs. Haha. Cool video. Thanks for sharing sir.

you're awesome! i'm jealous you have sucha big family of dogs... thanks for sharing this video.
my stepmom hates pets and i can't get a dog :) this is real cool to watch
nice job - to those who don't get it, it's obvious you love them very much, otherwise why go to the effort. Love the blue with the flipped ear
"Could I have your attention, please?"
"You have it, Papa, you have it!"
how many different strategies at feeding did you try before deciding this was the best one? this may sound like a stupid question, but do you have any tips for owners of messy or picky eaters? thanks!
Good job bro and good looking dogs
This is the cutest thing ever
I love this so much. Now if I could get my dogs to be so focused. Ha Ha
@rhcp500 yup little Bolo - the youngest is the most patient...but he was born here in the house from a rescued mama so he's been learning from early on. :)
Your dogs have better manners than my kids.
Thats a whole lotta doggie patience! = )
Wow, I am my pack leader. However, I leave out dry food all the time. When I cook I do the plates for them. Or I hand feed them.
"If there are no dogs in Heaven,
then when I die I want to go
where they went."
Will Rogers, 1897-1935
Thanks for this video. We have learned a lot.
wow that's awesome. Great job. The only question I have is don't they eat faster than they should when you do that? And if so, isn't that a problem (their digestion...) anyway, congrats!
Hi there, I’m just wondering if you are a rescue, dog boarder/trainer, or breeder? You have quite the mix of dogs there! So I was just curious :)
you are realy lucky to have them around you! where i live i'm allowed to have only rwo dogs... and feeding them was my bigest challenge....
Os cachorros são impressionantes, cada dia que passa eu aprendo com o Ozzy.
@scottan1 that was me....i did rehabilitation for Rescue Ink's dogs before I joined the group. new show coming soon...
I think who sais the dogs are afraid hasn't any experience with dogs. You can see them wagging their tails and that means they are happy to see him and to get food. It's a great efford to train dogs for this behavior.
What a nice pack !!!
This is just awesome!
Geez man! Feeding this many dog requires some budget right? :) Cool video, hats off!
what kind of dog is the puppy at the end?
exercise, discipline and affection. in order gives back a lot of respect.
Nicely done man!
Hey I am about to get another pit puppy. do you have advice on how to accomplish this?
I make my dog wait until I say it's ok to eat. Managing as many dogs as you though would be tricky!
nice dogs. they look delicious.
It's not mean or anything. He had a beautiful pack that respects them. If you think otherwise the. You do not know how dogs think and live. In a real pack the alpha eats first. The others have to WAIT until the alpha has had his share and let's them have the rest. This is like a simulation of that behavior. Newsflash, this isn't the wild. LOL
no but dogs don't know that. and they are still you know....animals...those things that are not humans and dont want to live like humans.
they arnt being treated poorly. he's training them to have respect when it comes to food. The leading cause of aggression in dogs is because of food. This is something s breeders do to prepare dogs and puppies for their new forever homes.
Please get an education and then come back and discuss it with me.
this will be my last comment to you. I am a breeder, and a trainer. To most this is bizarre behavior but in all honesty not doing such behavioral training can be harmful to the dogs impression on food.
I'm looking at my 4 dogs fighting over a fanbelt. Swapsies?
@Packethic Thanks so much for the tips!
Do you breed your own dogs or just rescue them? I am in the middle of becoming a certified trainer and im looking for my personal dog and pit bulls are my choice breed.
can you give me some advice? i have 7 dogs, and i want to them to be like yours :(

Nice job. There's nothing cruel about making a dog wait for food instead of allowing him/her to rush the bowl.
Beautiful!
INSANE.BRAVO.

Wow amazing
I've only managed to do this with 3 dogs :)
"about afraid comment".
and they where not afraid of me and I didn't have to beat them !
Hahahaha!!! This is awesome!!!
how much do you spend on dog food??
@wsmaacmj The dogs aren't afraid of him. They respect him & look at him as the "alpha". They're just waiting for the signal that it's ok for them to eat. That's exactly how it should be. @morph995
Is it that hard to understand the concept of wanting to help other creatures? Does there have to be some "purpose"?
I bet he drives a British car.
Parabéns, Muito bom mesmo !
