u cannot imagine my glee to find this video!!!...I have been on the computer searching utube half the weekend trying to figure this out.....i am wanting to take any yarn, and use it to knit hats by just figuring out the formula by only the information on the label...thank u to you and ur son from Canada 🇨🇦
I just did this calculation myself recently as I was trying to figure out which size to do on a pattern (my measurements fell "in between"). Thanks for a great tutorial. Good job, Bradley!
Thank you both. 😀I would love to know if i draw out my own pattern and took my own measurements. I know how to count guage, but how do I calculate cast on sts? Do I go off the ball band label? For example the designer is telling you how many to cast on then you do your guage. Either you needle size up or down to get guage. But how did the designer get there? 🤔I hope that was clear. I feel im close and its probally so simple. Thank you💗
Thank you so much for helping out with calculations

That was a great tutorial 👍
How would one work out how many stichers are needed if you don't already have the number of stichers? That's what I'm looking for.
That would be impossible to do. You need to have some sort of measurement to start with.
I cast on and knit a few row and measure how much stitches I knit per inch then multiply like that 😂
