    Detroit played smart. Nearly every player at some point goes to the jumpshot hoping for some quick points. Had Detroit shot from the outside & missed, Zeke is so quick he'd get the long bounce & score. Keeping the ball out of Zeke's hands was the key. Detroit played it safe & kept grinding it out with the post game. Good match!

    They should do a Redd vs Zeke rematch.

    Great game V1F!! Detroit has improved his game a lot since the first match up, he had Zeke's number, cut off his left side and used his size effectively - can't wait for more! Zeke took the L like a champ much respect to him, he'll be back no doubt. Great commentary as always from Jemar, keep up the good work Big Bro and the rest of V1F

    Spoiler...
    Very good game showing Detroit's basketball IQ as someone else mentioned. Backed him down and didn't change that this time. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Zeke is smaller bodywise and height (I think) so this time Detroit used that to his advantage. Also, with the post-up you allow yourself to relax a bit more and it's closer to the basket versus a jumper where if you miss, you're running to try and get the rebound. It's dope that ya'll point out the knowledge of the game and not just crazy handles lol. Good stuff V1F.

      +Verse One Federation Zeke is a comedian!! Lol. You put yourself out their going on UA-cam talking junk, like you really nice cuz. Real talk Bee. Constructive criticism , stop carrying, that doesn't work with a real ref. You need to work on your right hand, and your defense. You do got a nice shot though. Gotta give props, where props is due.

    zeke is incredibly quick and fast but gotta hit the weights man. there was nothing he could do about the post. and im surprised he doesn't have a pull up. being that quick w/ handle u GOT to have a pull up of some sort. also he tired out just gotta get in better shape. i dont think his skill really failed him (aside from not having a pull up) as opposed to his body.

    • @MrJ1S
      @MrJ1S 10 років тому

      ***** he was quick. def not slow but zeke is quicker and has more foot speed. even more explosive, it appears, on his drives but detroit is strong AND knows how to use his body thats the MAIN thing that beat zeke as well as zeke tiring out. he didnt even seem to put up much of a fight when detroit posted up in game 3

    • @MrJ1S
      @MrJ1S 10 років тому

      Chris Paul well he should have used it. maybe he didn't have confidence in it this time but i think he could of got it off especially after he drove on him so many times. detroit would have to respect it and hed have room

    • @AzimJivani
      @AzimJivani 10 років тому

      all of zeke's double threat moves going to the left or "first step" as the commentator likes to call it are traveling violations. zeke lifts his pivot before releasing the ball. i blame the nba for enabling their players like iverson, lebron, kobe, etc to do this same move without calling the travel.

    Chauncey Billups is a good comparison for Detroit. Detroit showed the most underrated aspect of basketball, consistency. Missed one or two shots in the post, still posted up. Played good defense, just didn't have to foul sometimes. Really felt like Detroit could've just lived with the result when he actually cut of Zeke going to the rim.

    Good, intense game! Too bad Zeke's jumper wasn't falling as much as usual. I wonder how much the recent rule change of scoring by 2s and 3s had an effect on the outcome. Thanks as always for the upload. Beef and broccoli, no rice!

    Defensively both easily stopped, just make zeke go right an don't give him completely wide open threes. Just body Detroit early don't let him walk right into the lane and then body him up to post. Start at the three point line and attack his dribble. Offensively Zeke settles for three when he's way quicker but the lack of a right hand move/layup makes him shoot alot. Surprised this was a Championship game.

    Not same level.
    I have seen Zeke played couple games, if you know the rules about dribble, he actually travel over 10 times every round.
    and Zeke tried hard to beat Detroit, but try hard not equals to get hands dirty .Detroit dont even want foul hard on him,i saw Zeke was rolling over there~~~~~~once he did it.
    Take your advantage over the other ,Detroit use his very "solid" post move win zeke, imo if zeke wanted to win ,he need speed up ,quickness create more spaces ,let Detroit run a lot, that zeke's advantage.

  • @wenhaozhang6352
    @wenhaozhang6352 8 років тому

    Very good game! This game shows us physical strength and fundamentals do matter. What makes Zeke's lose is not about his offense, but his defense when he was encountering low-post moves. Zeke's offensive moves and choices were rational and effective, which effectively utilized his quickness and shooting fundamentals. However, Detroit appeared to recognize his advantage over Zeke in terms of physical strength (including the size), allowing him having a chance to defeat Zeke. This choice is very strategic--- to use your strength to attack opponent's weakness. Good game!

  • @bigged313
    @bigged313 9 років тому

    I've noticed lately with all of these champ losing like smallville losing to g Cole,Cato losing to price and this game is that they take waaay too many perimeter shots. Smart players use a variety of shots mid ,close and perimeter. But these champs keep selling out for those 3pointers and they end up loosing, because they don't close out on their opponents and give the too much space like in the smallville vs g Cole game, and they shoot 3s all game. In order to win you have to get in the paint! And play some defense! But besides that great game.

    And also Zeke could have won round 3 if he would have used his quickness to penetrate because Detroit would have kept fouling him because Zeke has way more speed. Like he said the free throw would have been a better option than all of those threes he was jacking up. He could have possibly worn Detroit down enough so that he could have finished the game however he wanted because Detroit was a bit gassed in the third round.

    Verse One Federation I've watch quite a few of your vids, u guys range from kinda decent to very good, u guys def have offense, but I feel like no one that ever plays in these vids ever plays defense. Detroit was the first I've seen actually try to lock up his man. Defense wins games as well as championships, and when I watch, it never looks like anyone is lockin up. Just letting each other shoot like they're terrible when in reality it is the exact opposite. I'm 5'11, but I feel like I could beat guys like price and Cato simply because I am an intense person on the court, ESPECIALLY on defense, and also because I'm used to facing people much taller than me. Other than that everyone is good, and these are some great bids! Keep makin em!!
