Some of you are taking this video a little too serious. I'm not saying to stop wearing Jordan's entirely. I even said that IN the video within the first minute. The whole point of this video was to inspire more versatility in your footwear choices if you ONLY wear Jordan's. That's it! I still wear them myself... just much less than I used to. Please watch the video before jumping to conclusions based off of the title.
I actually wear them more than I used to, and pretty much only keep Jordans in my collection….and have sold/traded everything else 😂✌🏽
I was in school when jordans debuted so I came up with the sneaker culture as for the vultures they only want to profit off the shoes I'm a collector
I play basketbal when jordan first drop and there were reebok pump and LA gear too... I wear jordan to play basketball and have many but as i learn fashion Style and comfort .... I sold them all (85 pairs since 1994 collecting)..... And just recently about 2 years i bought NB ( i usually hate this brand for the design 😂) alrady 12 pairs fro walking, gym and running rotation... Still have 2 double zipper converse hi and low, 3 reeboks (1 is white C and the others collabs with G unit).... Boots def timbs but not the icon just earthkeeper( icon is to heavy nowadays).... 😂
I'm a full streetwear person, I have been buying basketball sneakers since I was less than 15yo and today in my 30s, I find a lot of others sneakers that are cool, comfy and stylish just as much as any jordan. I mean, jordans are not comfy when you truly compare to real comfy sneakers. My collection now have just one Low Jordan 1 Purple Mocha strategically for outfit reasons. People who wear only jordans or have a collection like 70% jordan and 30% other brands are not stylish at all, they just have "knowledge" of the trend but lack hard in fashion sense.
I used to buy Jordans every Saturday morning until I turned 38. I said to myself, "I'm too old for this stuff", and just hung it up. I still wear them sometimes but I'm 45 now.
Agreed! Pass me some Reebok Club C 85s, ASICS, Common Projects, Clarks or Chucks. There was a time when I wore a lot of Jordans, but eventually my taste in style became more versatile. With Jordans, you’re forced to dress like a Foot Locker display mannequin 😂
I collect Air Jordan's, because there's certain pair that I set my heart since day one. With my style, I wear them to either match the Jordan's or theme of the outfit.

This is GROWN ASS MAN content. I'm a 58 year old sneaker-head that's only been collecting for about 10 years. Up until last year, I ONLY bought Jordan's and Dunk. Then I too decided that these big, ass bulky shoes were hard to style all the time. SO I starting buying Adidas and New Balance. I look much more chic and stylish. And I still wear the J's from time to time. Thanks for this great content!
I love Jordans. For the past year, i have been trying to style Jordans with mens wear. I totally agree with you on this video. It is hard sometimes to change it up a little with only Jordans.

Sneakers are a timeless staple in casual menswear for sure. I have some custom Converse I like to wear but I also wear a good variety of dress boots, loafers and wingtips that go well with other outfits. Loafers are my personal favorite! Imo they're easily dressed down or up and more versatile than sneakers in that regard.
Jordan 1-3 are versatile to rock, depending on the colorway. The A Ma Maniere 3s are one of my favorites and most versatile in my collection, but I’ll rock other sneakers of course. I got pair of white Becket Simmons recently that are great for menswear. Airmaxes are great for traveling and being comfortable if you want to stay in the Nike family. I got some brown boots that I need to show more love to. I think its limiting to stick to one brand or style.
I'm pretty young and have always tried to have a diverse style. Jordan's are definitely part of the collection but I will only wear them for casual wear when I am sitting down or only walking many short distances. Definitely with the more different types of jewelry and clothes I get I have to change the types of shoes. For me, it is inevitable if you are able to change your mindset overall, I am pretty sure your style will change as well.
I have 20 pairs all new i made a decision to get boots i started with timberlands and aiming to get every color picked up 4 pairs, than i picked up 2 pairs of polo luxury hiking boots and also got a suede dress boots from ralph lauren. 2024 im looking to get more polo boot. And at the end of the year ill be getting saint laurent and celine boots. Rite now my boot collection is starting to catch up to the jordans. Also jordans will crimble and fall apart after time from not wearing them. Thats the main reason why im going for boots. I started buying Ralph Lauren Purple label and black label and i love the look with boots and want to wear more dress pants and cant mix highend luxury with sneakers. Jordans i save them for the summer

I wasn’t a fan of Jordan’s growing up (I’m in the uk so they weren’t as popular) I just brought a pair of Jordan 36’s of the Nike app a few years ago as something different & was surprised at the quality & packaging they fitted a bit tight so I went on UA-cam to look at a reviews on the fit then got links to all these different Jordan channels & wanted a pair of 11’s.
I agree with you Rio! I still have a bunch of j's but I've slowed down big time on buying them. I have other nikes, new balances, adidas, reeboks, plus more to wear instead. I also got my more mature footwear like chelsea boots, wallabees, boat shoes, etc....I think a lot of people don't know it's about how you style the kicks or footwear. Dudes wear nothing but J's as a fashion statement but they fit be trash or basic....there money, there business....no different than wearing a bunch of brand name clothing but the fit still trash lol.I think this video definitely needed to be made. There's more shoes and sneakers than Jordans....and yes Jordan retro's are classic. But to wear them ONLY and ALL of the time. It's a no for me dawg lol.
Lastly, I agree with you on Vans comfort. I think most people are expecting a cheap canvas sneaker if they never tried on Vans lol. But Vans feel like you're walking on a pillow lol. And the style is simple and classic. Their collabs are ok and they're affordable and hardly sell out.

@@iamriopman I looked at my collection one day Maybe 13 yrs ago and said heck no I’ve got to diversify it’s too many classics from the 80’s 90’s to only have Jordans they’re the best sneakers but I have to stick out so I wear Jordan’s from 5/6 years ago that are still new it turns heads but I wear a lot of classics from the 90’s and then young cats be like what are those because all they know are Jordan’s and dunks

For me, I can’t sport J’s at work so that leaves three days to rock a pair. It often conflicts with my dress for the day/night as I don’t plan on coming back to my crib to change throughout the day so an option like vans or designer sneakers is my go to footwear. I dress to get in most bars or clubs when it’s time.
It all comes down to versatility.

I could never not wear Jordan’s, because there is just too much nostalgia with the brand for me. All though I understand where you are coming from. Some Jordan retro models are versatile but it also depends on the occasion you are wearing them for. I enjoy all kinds of footwear and Jordan’s will always be my favorite shoes but not my only option

@@iamriop not age. Mentally. Some things are just not as important at a certain point. You said you found the shoes to not be as versatile and they aren’t. Not very comfortable and they aren’t. You have found other shoes to be more versatile and more comfortable. In other words you like other shit. You said you skipped the Bred 4 reimagined which is your choice. Maybe you didn’t like the changes but it was still a collectible shoe. I mean they sold out in minutes. The demand was there and luckily I was able to grab my son a pair. You said when you were growing up Jordan’s were definitely the shoe to have, same as me. Now that I have a collection of over 50 pairs of Jordan’s (I had more but gifted them to my son when he could fit them), I feel the same way. Jordans bring back that old feeling. I grew up in the 80s / 90s. I know the feeling and I was able to just have a few pairs when pops was feeling nice. One day other shoes became just as desirable and my wardrobe changed. It makes sense.

I never understood people who only wear Jordans that literally makes no sense. You got all these other options of shoes out here yet people with no style only wear Jordans I never understood it.
I don't even think it has anything to do with being older like I've only had one pair of Jordans in my entire life, I've never been fascinated by his shoes.
Maybe because I wasn't a Michael Jordan fan growing up I couldn't stand him may have something to do with it, but i mean i bought Scottie Pippen shoes and he played on the same team as Jordan. I had 4 of Pippen shoes and I had Dennis Rodman Converse and Nike shoes.

New Balance and Pumas are healthier for the feet😃 The whole purpose of Air Jordans is because they were inspired by a famous basketball player, but look at the outcome.🙄 I would choose to have healthy👣 wrather than look cool any day.😎 Healthy cheap footwear is so much cooler.😎

I dont own any more Jordan's. Ill probably buy a few pairs again in the future. I had hundreds of pairs in the past.
But i wear mainly designer because of the comfortability, and durability. For example right now i have a pair of alexander mcqueen tread slick boots on. My work boots. 11-14.5hrs a day and my feet feel wonderful. I beat them up and they still look like new after a year.
I wear speed trainer's, same reason, comfortable, durable. My first pair has like 3-4million steps. Still wearable. Unlike my adidas knit shoes ive had maybe 12 pairs during this time none lasted. Thats why i switched to mainly designer, or yeezy foam/knit shoes. I was tired of shoes becoming unwearable when i could have not bought like 3-4 pairs and just gotten one designer shoe that would last YEARS.
I have balenciaga arenas that i beat the brakes off till they fell apart. Took maybe 8 years lol. More than got my moneys worth.

I grew up exactly opposite of you i had 1 athletic shoe and the rest were boots oxford’s and loafers but now i buy Jordans because they are a challenge for me and what i grew up wearing
