as a westerner with no real concept of adequate social interaction in polite Korean circles this scene could pass as 'normal conversation' between two Koreans who keep their personal feelings to themselves and don't show much outward emotions even when internally happy - as one character openly claims here. or: it could be unusually stiff and restrained even for a Korean audience. idk, so what is it?
The words are there, but I don't feel that they have an emotional connection. I hate using the term 'chemistry', but whatever it is, these two are trying their best with the script, but there really is no chemistry between them. Even with the tough conversation, their body language is far too stiff and controlled. The delivery of the words is emotional, but it is as if two trees are conversing. These actors seem to have what it takes, so perhaps it is the direction they've been given to keep their bodies so rigid while speaking. Something just feels 'off', yet I do get the feeling they could be so much better with different guidance.
It’s really not about chemistry… the first episodes were wonderful and they really had a bunch of that. The problem is entirely in the directing. They spent the first 4 episodes wasting time on beautiful personal reflections and flashbacks which were nice to see but absolutely useless, spent episode 5 and 6 on a very random side story/dilemma which could’ve ended in half an episode and then super rushed the last two episodes which had at least 3 new storylines and about 3/4 confessions absolutely rushed and with no sense at all. It’s really sad cause it did start great! Their first kiss was well directed and really cool, then their second and last kiss felt like they had just met on set that day and didn’t even remember each other’s names. Also, this scene seems like it was filmed separately because they are DEFINITELY not looking at each other at all. Hard to have chemistry when the other person isn’t even there😂🤦🏼♀️. This was one of the saddest series I’ve seen this year because it was really promising and just gave up at the end.
I could not agree MORE. It's literally like they're just reading their lines during a run through. There's no emotion, connection or even energy behind what they're saying. They could be confessing their love or ordering a coffee and without the subtitles, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It's super dissapointing because you can tell exactly how disconnected they are from each other. It feels super awkward and just weird.
Who are yall looking at???? I mean Tall Dude looks like he's looking at you but Mr. Middle Hair Part, who are you looking at?? Did they film this scene twice or something? When they're together and when the other isnt present?? Cause bestie, that man is taller than you and I know you aint looking at his neck so what's going on?? ✋️😭 (I only know one of their names and I didnt think I should name only one so we have Tall Dude and Mr. Middle Hair Part 😗)
It's hilarious how there is a tall dude, middle hair part guy and glass guy in the comments. It was good at the beginning and then became too cringy for my liking. I couldn't connect with them. And I think some scenes were unnecessary. I stopped halfway. Check out The director who buys me dinner and The new employee. I'm loving the series
I👏think👏they👏are👏so👏cute🦋 they make a good pairing💙

i was thinking the same thing. wasnt sure if it was the acting or a cultural difference
Восхитительные ❤

was expecting him to look at 'tall dude's' lips. I may be projecting. 😉do you think the height difference doesn't fit for this assumption?
beautiful moment 💖💖
It looks like they filmed it differently 🤔🤔🤔🤔
People are saying this scene was filmed the first time they filmed the show. Since jt was almost completely reshot
Thought it was just me that felt that way o
Why do i see no 🎇spark between them
I was so annoying at the situation
