Can you believe they embroidered all those flower emblems on her veil. People do not understand the labor that went into the veil alone. I loved it. If I ever get married again, I'm going for simple elegance. People keep commenting on the gown being ill fitted at the top part of the dress but really it had a slightly loose feel to it for a cooler feel because from what I've heard, that fabric has a bit of a heavy feel to it and can be quite warm; therefore, I think the fitting was appropriately done. I loved the gown. Meghan looked like a princess. I am so inspired by her; I think she is an amazing individual. I'm older than her but I feel she is also someone I could learn from. (my daughter was the same, looked identical to my mother in law, a woman who was a saint but heck, she was UGLY, then, at the age of 7, she started changing, now she looks just like her dad and me--depending who she is with, when with me, everybody says we look the same, when with her dad, everyone says she looks just like him.)
Abigail Spencer's dress was not up there in the best dressed list. Navy and white polkadot button through, with a white collar is smart office wear, not Royal Wedding wear. If she was going for a job interview, it would be very appropriate. Victoria Beckham's dress is too dark a colour for a wedding. More suited to a funeral. She has made this mistake at two Royal weddings. If she had no other dress to choose from (!) then she should have brightened the outfit with a flower on her hat and a coloured scarf.

FYI, Nicki Swift - those are "epaulettes," not "shoulder straps" on the military-styled jackets onto which the pageboys' initials were embroidered. It's "garb," not "garbs"(Kate recycles "her *garbs*"). Patrick Adams didn't just wear a 3-piece suit, he wore traditional, daytime formalwear called "morning dress," which includes a short waistcoat (vest) and a longer, morning coat. For someone who apparently "stands apart in style and smarts," you don't know much about fashion or its terminology.

Wow, tastes may differ, but Serena Williams dress was awfull. Nether colour nor cut flattered her. I know the problems with having a big bust, but there are a lot more flattering ways to dress than having such drapes over it, that make your bust look as if it it has to be strapped to you or else will explode out of the dress.

Harry's mom, Diana when she got married her dress was considered gorgeous, everybody went crazy for it, and for about ten years, it was the inspiration for most wedding dresses. Today, it just looks dowdy, old-fashioned and tacky. Even Kate's dress which was very pretty just a few years ago, it is starting to look old. I bet you that thirty years from now, Meghan;s dress will still look, elegant, sophisticated and classic, and timeless as it looks now.

People completely forgot Prince Edward's wife and daughter chugging up the rear in ice blue for mum-daughter look! Very nice and respectable! Now, Princess Anne, I don't know where her mind was, but I didn't like the look! And the Yorks looked nice: the whole lot of them including mum Sarah!
Initially deciding to wear white on that day, showed Oprah for the Oompa Loompa that she really is. All that money and no class or manners. Who wears white to a wedding other than the bride? A vain and presumptuous person. The back story about her too fitting pink Stella McCartney was an attempt to "steal thunder" from the bride. She can't help herself. Oprah is basically very egocentric. She hasn't owned Weight Watchers long enough to squeeze herself into the kind of fabric she finally wore. It did look like it was put together "the night before." It was a ghastly look on her.
And of course there was Victoria Beckham wearing the de rigeur, tailored suit and her very much expected, dour expression.
Oprah changed her dress at the last minute to AVOID showing up in white which was bad planning on her part. The outfit she wore to the wedding was made or fitted hurriedly at the last minute. The hat was not flattering. She was attempting to NOT show up the bride.

Abigail Spencer's dress was not up there in the best dressed list. Navy and white polkadot button through, with a white collar is smart office wear, not Royal Wedding wear. If she was going for a job interview, it would be very appropriate.
Victoria Beckham's dress is too dark a colour for a wedding. More suited to a funeral. She has made this mistake at two Royal weddings. If she had no other dress to choose from (!) then she should have brightened the outfit with a flower on her hat and a coloured scarf.

I can't be the only who think the wedding gown was boring as hell, not to say ugly. And that's coming from a fan of simple dresses, with no sparkles, flowers, or anything. I didn't want something extravagant, just not that plain! At least give the dress an interesting cut or something. There is nothing noteworthy about the dress and it doesn't even look well-fitted. Only nice part is the veil.
