- Subtle copper highlights! First, comb the hair back before applying the frosting cap tightly onto the head. Use a crochet hook to pull the hair out of the frosting cap hole and comb the hair. Next, mix the bleach powder and developer to a sour cream or batter consistency, and apply it onto the hair that was pulled out of the frosting cap holes. Wait for the hair to lighten and wash the hair with the cap still on the head if you decide to tone it. Tone the hair and wait for color development. Remove the cap and rinse the hair and style. This how to use the frosting cap and highlight the hair is produced by BeautyHealthTravel channel with guest artist M. Lahham, for cosmetologists, beauty school students, hairdressers and salon professionals. This woman has such a kind spirit about her . I wish all my teachers were like her
This teacher is such an angel. I already know how to do all this but just watched because she’s so informative and kind
she uses 40 volume on this hair, she is bad stylist will destroy the hair!!
She said it was because she knew the doll could handle it and wanted it to process quickly for the class…
She is an Allstar teacher!! I do my hair at home sometimes and will be doing it soon. She answered a lot of my questions explaining what I've been wrong and I learned so much!
The instructor’s haircut is amazing 😍
Seriously. How do i ask for thatm
No kidding.

I know. It’s so pretty.
Stunning and so perfect for her face shape
Found this video to be so soothing. What a gift she has. To be taught by those who are encouraging and gentle can make all the difference.
What a great teacher! She’s so thorough in explaining the process.
I sure hope this lady is still teaching. She is awesome. So calm and easy to follow.
You are an INCREDIBLY AMAZING TEACHER!😀 your students and followers are very lucky to have an instructor like you.
Was looking up videos by I was just getting ready to frost my hair using a cap I usually do not use a cap but I must say this teacher is AMAZING she's very Informative and u can tell she knows her stuff I enjoyed watching her explain this
what an awesome teacher. the world genuinely needs more teachers like this
The instructor is not only very pretty but she explains very well. I can understand her perfectly even if English is not my 1st language.
My life would be so different if all my teachers were this good
The instructor is such a sweetheart~~♡
Learned something new today, been a master barber for 15 years, you never stop Learning!! You're a doll of an instructor, mine was smoking cigs the entire time!! Lol😅🤣😅
Omg that’s hilarious. I’m imagining it just barely hanging off her lips 😂
this video makes me want to go to cosmetology school!
With her only x'D
Me too!!!
I've used Clairol frost and tip for years and always had a great result. Key to frosting - make sure you don't remove until the hair is a soft buttery blonde or you will get orange. Wait until the hair is buttery blonde before you proceed. And use a crochet tool for smaller pieces or use the plastic hook that comes in the kit. I've used both.
Everyone's hair depending on texture, natural base, if they have previous hair color, is not going to get to a buttery soft blonde. Especially just bleaching their hair once. Some people's hair will get way over processed leaving bleach on the first time to get to the buttery blonde stage you speak of. It's better for someone to condition and come back working their way to a pale blonde stage. You obviously already have a lighter shade of hair color, your hair is in good condition or course textured in order for you to be able to keep bleach on your hair past that orange stage without your hair becoming overly dried out or not breaking off.
I tried it and it left me with orange hair 😂😫😭. I’m still recovering from a medical treatment that ruined my hair so I stopped bleaching 2 years ago and I was only covering my grays with brown box color but I couldn’t take it anymore and I adventured. Because of the recovery I mentioned I didn’t want to re- bleach it right away. I used purple shampoo right after and I left it on for 20 minutes. It was still unacceptable. I went to Sally’s and bought two T-14 and one 050 Wella toners and it got it to an acceptable level for to where at least I didn’t want to wear a hat 🧢 everywhere. I told my kids it was “caramel” color 😂. Now I know that I needed more product and most definitely the toner. One box of the frost didn’t saturate like I needed for all my hair and I probably needed to leave it on at least 1 to 1:15 hours even though they say it stops processing after 45min. But I was afraid of more damage. However, after extensive research and videos I am certain that leaving the bleach on for that much longer would not have hurt. On the contrary.
I will be doing the cap highlights and toning my hair again this weekend but I will be using a 30 developer and bleach cream from Sally’s. I also bought extra toner because I have so much hair. I’m excited to lift it more 🎉.
Sorry for the long story but I hope this helps someone out there.
If I have light brown hair and want very light pieces would you suggest clairol or loreal frost?
your voice is so soothing, i wanna learn from you. thanks for taking me through step by step i thoroughly enjoyed this.
She reminds me of my great aunt
She is amazing, never had a teacher who teach me like that... congratulations... the best I ever see
She’s a fantastic instructor. Very informative and professional!
the instructor is so pretty I love her hair makeup hopefully I look that good when I get older
I love the delivery of the instructor. She’s so clear & easy to understand 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Glad it was helpful!
The way you talk i actually remember what you're saying and instructing.thanks
I've used a cap for 40 years. You don't want to start from the front if your doing it yourself or you won't be able to see where you are missing. I always start from the top back to the front then the sides. My caps have lines showing where to start.
Omg why couldn't I have a cosmetology teacher like you when I was in Cosmo 😍
The best cosmetology instructor ever!
I would love to go to hair school if she was my instructor because she’s awesome right to the point and very kind and patient
this is great instruction on how to use this cap and exactly what to do, especially if you are doing this on your own hair, which I will be doing, thank you!
You are so welcome

The instructor's hair color is gorgeous
Yes awesome teacher. I saw this video on Google and came to UA-cam just to leave a like. Lots of good questions too from students. All around very good!!

Best instructor 👩🏫
You are an amazing teacher
I always wondered why the shades lathered! Always learn something from her.🤓
Hi do you know what the volume of processing solution was?
Yellow Rose why would you use the same volume developer on your hair that she used on the mannequin that has virgin hair?????
Yellow Rose I really hope for your sake you didn’t go back and rewatch this video and use the 40 volume developer that she used on this mannequin hahaha if so your hair probably fell out
I just purchased a hair frosting kit going to try it out either on me or my mother.lol
+Luz Figueroa Oh, that's great! Let us know how it came out!
Luz Figueroa how'd it come out?
I LOVE your haircut❤
Wow... She is awesome!!
Thank you❤excellent instructor. Look forward to more👍
Amazing wonderful😍😍👏👏
Thank you for such a great video 😃💕💕
You are so welcome!
Thank you thank you thank you! Did it myself
Omg I needed that regrowth question! Ty
You welcome!
I wish I watched this year's ago when my I talked my husband into doing this to me. I had waist length hair at the time and no clue what we were doing. It took hours to pull the hair through and it was a tangled mess. I didn't know you were supposed to comb the hair back first and start from the front. 😂 it was so painful
Your hair would have still been a tangled mess. I wouldn't advise anyone to use a frosting cap on waist length hair. I've done it on my sister's hair and the length was almost waist length at the time. Her hair still knotted and tangled. She also complained of pulling. It's just better to do painting ( balayage) or use foils than to use a highlighting cap on super long hair.
Wow!!!!! Not a good idea at all!!!!
What a great teacher...
I just tryed tryed this And it looks great!!
First time watching this Chanel and i love it
Definitely start follow y’all already suscribe!!
Btw awesome teacher!!!
Welcome aboard!
I just loved this video!!! Best video ever
Great video. I do recommend that you NEVER reuse a disposable cap.
Very helpful thank you for sharing this amazing video 👍🏻♥️
I’m so glad I watched this before doing this. I would have messed up so badly.
When you buy those caps, they sometimes sell them in pack and they'll say they're disposable. However, the instructor said you can reuse them. You're better off buying a pack of transparent shower caps to use with your frosting cap because...you don't want to go back and forth between the salon/your house and the beauty supply store for things.
@BeautyHealthTravel Your video helped me a lot!! I have a question though, did you, just rinse or did you rinse and shampoo?? Am just about to do this at home.
Your answer would really help!! 🙋♀️
You’re a good teacher 👩🏻🏫
Thank you this video help me a lot
May I know the name of the instructor? Wanted to watch more of her teachings 🤗

This is an AMAZING tutorial 💗
Thank you so much!!
I have long hair, I've used those caps many times, it was fine lol
she said that it might hurt the client, not that it won't work on long hair
I love this lady❤
Omg this helped so freakin much
