You should show them the difference in limes & lemons. Plus “Key Lime” is a specific type of lime mostly grown in Florida!, smaller and sweeter then the Persian Lime available worldwide.
It's a language thing. Lemons and Limes are often referred to with the same word in a lot of languages with the qualifier "green" or "yellow" for Limes and Lemons respectively.

I asked her to bring me a lemon, and she came home with a lime! I found out I should have asked for a yellow lemon (limon amarillo)! Learn something new every day!

As an Australian, sweet potato pie sounds bizarre. I’m sure it’s probably very good, but all I have ever had is roasted sweet potato (like when you have a roast dinner), so it doesn’t sound very appealing to me.
I was going to suggest they make them a lemon meringue pie, it's one of my favourites. My mum use to make one at least once a month, up until I was in my 40's.
@@Whippy99 she use to make so many things, and give them to me to take to work, when I was in my late forties, she found out the lady I worked with loved lemon meringue pies too, so she started giving me 2 of everything cake/pastry etc that she made, and I didn't live with her, she'd call me and tell me to drop in before going to work, or on the way home from work. She also made pickles, relishes, sauces and jams, which she'd give to people. She's 90 now and has Alzheimer's, my son and I look after her, my son has to do most of the heavy stuff as I'm a disability pensioner now. I'm so lucky to have my mum and was lucky to have had my dad, he passed away at 69 just 2 years older than I am now. He got Alzheimer's at 58.
I love Keylime pie!! 🥧 I love how they easily pick up how to pronounce new words and their 1st reactions to new food. I am so intrigued & curious how it looks to them, what it tastes like, and how it opens a new view from what they had over their lifetimes. I enjoy learning from their points of view, too. So educational and sometimes very funny for me! 😂😊🎉

They did use limes, except in Pakistan, they still call them lemons because they are part of the same fruit family (green lemons/yellow lemons), so no specific name for a lime.
I, too, love key lime pie! Praise be to God. These gentlemen are so wholesome and good. Perhaps the gentlemen and the channel should open a restaurant of world cuisine in your region of Pakistan.

Show them a photo of a lime next to a lemon, or if you have leftovers from making the pie and a lemon, then let them examine them both side by side.
A great thing about key lime pie is it nullifies spicy food. You can go eat the spiciest food you want and follow it with a bite of key lime pie and it drowns it out.
I noticed no one corrected them when they thought it was made with lemons instead of limes. I hope they show them the difference between the two. Yes, both are citrus fruits but definitely different. At least show them pics of both so they can know.

LOL. "Key" is an anglicized version of Spanish for a small island. Key Limes are descended from wild trees planted by sailors back in the days of wooden ships .They thrived in and near Florida and people learned to make this delicious dessert from them. True Key Limes are very small, very sour and wonderfully fragrant. This is my favorite pie. I take after my dad in not preferring super sugary pies. His favorite was Lemon Meringue Pie. Maybe the gentlemen will get a chance to try that pie and also Lemon Pound Cake, which is also very delicious.
Perhaps lemon meringue should be served together with key LIME, so they can tell the huge difference between the citrus fruits, since it's so unfamiliar to them as sweet things. Are limes lemons there, dunno?
Now Try Lemon drizzle sponge cake. You make regualr sponge cake, then boil lemons and sugar until it gets thick like syrup, then pour this syrup onto the cake before serving

You all should do simple pairings with some of the dishes, especially anything like pie and cake. Typically key lime, pecan, and pumpkin pie pies are served with black coffee, and/or vanilla ice cream. Personally I think the more bitter the coffee, the better ✌️✌️

Gentlefolk, key lime pie is made from limes from the Florida keys (narrow islands leading to key West...the southernmost point in the state of Florida 90 miles from Cuba. Real key lime pie is even better...made very small ...about half the size of a standard pie. I don't like lemon meringue pie or custard type filling but key lime pie is unbelievably deliçious😊

Key limes were not created in Key West. They are native to Southeast Asia, and were simply naturalized and cultivated in the Florida Keys.
